The model home was impeccable, your home will not be. We paid thousands in upgrading almost everything that you could in their base model home, and our home looks like a college kid slapped everything together with a hammer and some nails. Cabinets are crooked, chipped, cracked, and missing hardware. Vinyl floors are warped like you are walking on an uneven gravel road, same experience with carpet (the subfloors are not settling correctly). Paint throughout the home is uneven, finishes are horrible (it looks like a college kid painted the home in a few hours) paint easily scuffs and chips, so ...

Please do your research before purchasing any home, not just KB, but any home. Check reviews online and also check Better Business Bureau (BBB). I wish I would have done more research before purchasing my Sunnyside Estate home.

Terrible Customer service after signing the house

I still waiting for the part replace to be fix also the construction next door just brought lots of dirt and mud in from on my driveway and no one seen to clean that out. According to the city that is an environmental problem having so much dirt with no erosion control.

Horrible buying process, once you buy the home and you fill out the first survey you never can get a call back.

Supposed to have a 1 year warranty on issues but there is no point of contact, the buying experience was horrible and they locked me into not using a realtor. The floors are warped in several homes in this community, the irrigation and land sloping is not bad. Constant issues, I wish KB just followed through with their promises.

Extremely Dissapointed

Once you sign the purchase agreement get ready for delays, broken promises and costly mistakes that will most likely delay your closing. We have been in our home a month and a half, had to leave for 5 days for them to do the repair work to the house at the end of October and still have not received reimbursement as promised. Their vendors do NOT wear masks so beware of that if you are at high risk for COVID. Our solar is still not set up and the HOA rep does not respond for weeks at a time.

No mitered corners on baseboards. Wallboard doesn’t meet baseboard in the garage. 1” gap all around. Third island counter replaced.

Poor Customer Service

Customer service has done a poor job on fixing a simple landscaping that I have had from the moment I moved into my new house. The company that KB does their landscaping with has damaged some of my property and has failed continuously to resolve a simple issue. I am going on two months in living in my new house and have yet to fully enjoy my yard. My experience in purchasing my first house has been stressful and disappointing.

You have to beg the warranty department to respond to you

I still have issues in my home that have gone unresolved. Warranty refuses to answer my calls after complaining about a shower that continues to spew water out of my walk in shower because of poor quality craftsmanship. They said they fixed it but only said that just so they can buy more time and let the Warranty run out so they don't have to deal with my home. Beware when buying from this builder you might also find unwanted things in your basement bedroom should you decide to finish you basement with KB homes.

The home loan people were horrible. I wanted to back out based off of their issues but my realities talked me out of it. I like the house but you really should restructure your home loan people. It’s like they have no idea what they are doing and ask for the same thing multiple times through multiple people or they wait till last minute to ask for something that they should’ve known they’d need months prior. If I could go back and wait to purchase a home, I would. My home buying experience was horrible and now that I’ve closed it’s been my biggest regret. There’s been so many issues and bad customer service. I didn’t have this bad gut feeling for nothing. I can’t wait to get over my waiting period to put my house up for sale. I dont even care to lose Im just done with this headache.

Was able to purchase home after being selected in lottery. I was very excited but Immediately I was rushed and pressured with threats of losing opportunity to buy the house if I didn’t act on multiple request within hours and days after. The Unfortunate Sales Assistant

Ugh!! I love my home but this was truly the worst experience I have ever had. The sales associate I worked with was not honesty, especially at the beginning about times it would take to move in. I was told 3 months and it ended up being more like 8. I would have much rather heard honest answers than dishonest answers just to get me to sign the contract. The construction manager was a breath of fresh air to work with - so that is a huge positive!! I just hated feeling manipulated buying my first home.
