I recently had the unfortunate experience of purchasing a home from KB Homes, and I must say it has been an absolute nightmare. From the moment we signed the contract, it became apparent that quality work and effective communication were not priorities for this company. First and foremost, the construction quality of the house was abysmal. It seemed as though corners were cut at every turn, resulting in a litany of issues. I have filed 3 better business bureau complaints. so lets start from the beginning. I bought a house on a plot of land i was told I would be able to put a pool in. I paid for the land, I went to the design center and paid 8k for upgrades to my home. First, I was placed on the waiting list to purchase a home in January of 2022. My name finally came up to purchase a home around March 20th 22. I placed the down payment and the salesperson said my pre-qualification letter and and closing disclosure to me. My realtor and myself, went off on those numbers and planned for the home for several months. Recently i bought my first KB home, though i have multiple investment properties, the quality, and workmanship are of a way low standard. The wrong cabinets are installed and post-handover, I have been asked to reinstall the cabinets. There is no space to access master bathroom from one side. Overall a very terrible experience with KB Homes.

At first things were good until our lot was sold from up under us twice. No notification or idea it had happened until when it was time to get a date for the studio. Then once that was sorted, studio selections were double selected by a neighboring house which caused some reselections without compensation. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! If you’re looking to get a KB home make sure to come in with your own financing company. The finance department is horrible aside from Lionel in finance who heard our cries and disappointment through the process. Building too soooo king it was months where houses that weren’t sold before ours had already been worked on. We are two months in and still need repairs fixed. If you can elsewhere do so it’s not worth it

Sales started out great, as time went along construction progressively got worse, sales had no answers builder had no answers, walls built where walls shouldn't be, vents were wrong etc. etc., 13months to close and still haven't had issues or promises kept but KB got paid and now here i am still cant open a window due to know screens, counter tops look like cigarette burns, we have back splash scheduled but we will see what happens with that...will not recommend to any one to buy here, my family bought 3 homes here and wish we hadn't.

KB sales and mortgage are awful to deal with. Very unprofessional, and they did not help get me into this house, I had to resort to another lender. The communication was awful, the loan rep had zero experience and professionalism. Being a first time homebuyer, it truly was an awful experience. Do not buy with KB Home, very poor response to issues

We bought our first home with KB Home. There are pending items to complete but they requested us to close the property and mentioned that they would complete the pending items with in 2-3 weeks of home closure. We almost completed 2+ months and still they did not address the pending items and every day follow-up got a big headache. My recommendation to everyone not to go and close the home without trusting them. Just close the property once everything is addresses.

Through the entire process there was little to no communication unless it was Us reaching out to the Builders of this company. Only time any communication was reciprocated to us is when they needed something, KB really made the experience worse instead of insuring the customer had a wonderful stress free time. The salesman Rey S. made promises that he could not keep. He was at the Title company the day of closing he saw us and never spoke to us. Shows he really cared about us. $$$$$ (NOT)construction date was pushed back Repeatedly( six months)closing was a nightmare (it took 7 hours). House was not completed properly on due date. Many issues existed that were located after we moved in. Items ordered and installed were not the same as we had selected in the showroom. Everything that needed to get corrected is an order that gets placed and then your at the mercy of the contractor to show up weeks later. There is no quality control. Not only did it take o year to build my home, the closing date moved twice. There have been numerous issues (they’ve been fixed) that were annoying. Ie: leak under driveway, gas line not hooked up to furnace, carbon monoxide leak due to hvac not being hooked up properly,…I could go on. Definitely wasn’t expecting these issues when spending over 400k.

I was very disappointed with the build quality and with Brian the superintendent who was unprofessional and intentionally delayed and messed up the build, I am very surprised that the Sales team (Tim) who knew of the price reduction forced me to sign the contract for the unfinished, very poor quality deliverable 2 days before the price reduction.
