To many issues w house that you wouldn’t think you’d have. After all it is a new home. Paint job is terrible! We got an “upgraded door,” all they did was pain it black!!!

Not very good experience from KB homes management

I was told by the team Reg a $3k credit for closing but they finally said it’s not possible. The initial lot I was shown was 40ft wide but it was a mistake and just touching 36 feet wide only. I came to know this after 6 months of initial deposit. I tried to reach out to KBHOME management through sales, financing, construction leads but no response on the status of $3k credit. Poor customer experience.

Selling incomplete homes with poor build quality

Forced us to close even though house construction wasn't finished and 2 months later still didn't fix windows, kitchen cabinets and leaking HVAC. KBHome recommendation for us to use bucket whenever we AC and pray to God leaking doesn't cause electrical damage to HVAC.

I’m dissatisfied with the quality of cheap materials that KB Homes put into the building of the homes. Although they build the homes in great locations. Still the quality needs better performance, design and selection.

Experience on home readiness and loan closure process

Experience with the home readiness was very bad. Lot of issues has been raised during the entire process but it was not addressed. Loan closure was the worst experience compared to everything. I was expecting a call from customer manager at least with an apology for what has happened but it never happened.

Many things did not go as planned with building our home. When a change needed to happen or something was prolonged it took for me the buyer to ask questions and find answer and no one ever knew what was what.

Preapproval process was terrible thru KB. Was approved fully thru my lender and was told that I’m going to loose my house because I wasn’t qualified enough. KB lender could care less had to basically show the money and then there attitude changed. Then when I came to building my house was one of the first houses started and took longer to build than others. The KB Construction team very awful, very nightmarish. They are not very communicative, not cooperative to give the KB-promised quality. I am still very disappointed because of construction. The home could have been better • The bay window was lopsided by 1 inch on the right, .5 on the left. They built and set the window crooked. • The bay window itself was replaced 4 times because KB kept placing broken windows. • 4 windows and 1 mirror had scratches • The moisture barrier was missing for almost 8 months • Construction failed inspection twice, there were 3 broken truss and 3 unsecured ...

If I have to go and am able to see easily spotted problems then it shows that the usually expect to have the buyer have to do the checking for them which is not a good practice. I also complained about bugs getting through the side of the walls on the house. KB Home - I feel KPH Holmes builds a good home, But their responsisiness

I feel KPH Holmes builds a good home, But their responsisiness to the customer is poor, They pulled back a $2000 offer at the sales office, And refused then negotiate anything for a better deck, I ended up with a tiny deck.. Very poor customer satisfaction at the management level.. I would not recommend kbh homes the anyone else.

I would HIGHLY recommend using your own lender along and make sure you are on top of them because they dropped the ball A ALOT.

They do a terrible job they only do things halfway and they smile in your face saying there gonna get it taken care of but they don’t. You find anything wrong with your house they don’t fix it. When I say they do jobs halfway I mean it,when you ask them to fix something they fix it but it’s a terrible fix or it’s not painted and just the mud on the wall no paint etc. I’ve told them about multiple things I wanted changed while in the building process. The buying experience has been terrible. The loan office staff was fantastic. However, I would not consider anything else good. The workmanship was terrible and the materials are beyond cheap. Repairs take forever to get done, if they get done at all, and are often done incorrectly again. Responses from the pm were slow or didn’t occur unless we called people higher up or from other departments. They literally stuffed paper towels into the crevices between the mortar and siding and then put the sealant over it in hopes we wouldn’t notice, which we have pictures of. I had a terrible experience, my house was delivered missing things to do, on the day of my closing there was no CO. They still have a lot of things to finish in the house and after I gave the bad review after 30'days. Everyone disappeared. I don't recommend that you buy a house with KbHome. Not to mention that the Sales Vendor doesn't understand anything about the place because he was asked before if he was allowed to park the cars on the street, and he said no. But in fact there is nothing that prohibits, because the street here is controlled by the city!
