More options paint an bathroom option

Super intendant promised some items and gifts he was going to add to the house because we were so patient with them and at the end didn't get anything. Oh and the garage concrete was finished horribly. Looks like they didn't have finishers and just had laborers do a bad job

I've had a KB home before and was completely happy with it. This new home is beautiful and happy to be in it, although there are a few minor fixes that need to take place. I insisted on closing even though these fixes were incomplete. Still waiting on completion of these minor issues. Some electrical, paint work, etc. One very frustrating issue is trying to reach our HOA. I've called them several times, no one has ever called me back. I do not even know if I cam calling the correct HOA.

I had a long "punch-list" when I moved it. It was pretty unacceptable. I've had to have subcontractors come out multiple times, and I am months away from having a "complete" house with no issues. KB is a budget builder, and it's fairly good value. You get what you pay for.

Look over very carefully before closing. We closed and then noticed a lot of problems dirty dirty wall garage floor concrete problems and grout all over the walls and was told the garage didn’t matter was not considered important to them

The experience was okay. Still have some questions about the garage concrete that I have not gotten paperwork for. Also would have like to see more quality checks before closing and better communication within your team.

I got my keys to my house on October 22, 2021. My escrow was delayed for two months because KB could not finish building my home on time. I had to get two extensions from my lenders. Once I got my keys two months later, I started doing improvements to my house. I found out that there was a lot of things that was wronged with my new home. For example: 1) I got shocked from the electricity up in the attic because the light switch was not inside of the electricity box. 2) the tiles on my roof was broken and not correctly aligned with the house. 3) the fire sprinklers wasn't correctly secure, the fire sprinklers' caps was lose and falling off the ceiling. 4) My rain gutter keeps leaking from the joints. 5) Master bedroom shower wasn't caulk properly, lots of missing caulk. 6) cabinets trim was coming off because it was loose. 7) my ceiling drywall has cracked in it. 8) light fixtures on my garage wasn't level or center. 9) electricity outlet in one of my room doesn't work. 10) My master bedroom bathroom had a hairline crack. 11) my windows sill paint was coming off. That's some of the problems I'm having Kb builder. However; Brian (area construction manager) did come out to my house to discuss and address all my problems and concerns. Overall I am very happy with my new home. I had several issues prior to my closing date and with it being a tight time frame between closing and having to move out of my previous living situation I had to let some stuff go that was never fixed, being told it would get done in 1-6 weeks. I have been at my property for almost 2 months now with none of that stuff getting remedied, but once that gets done I will be a lot happier.

Good workmanship with quality products. A good sound home

Kb homes warranty is great. The only issue are the 3rd party companies they use to fix problems can take awhile to get done. Marco electric didnt show up twice when scheduled.

If they would finish right the first time and not have to come back to fix things ,our experience would have been great .

We love our new home but the responsiveness to issues is tough, our warranty person never got back to us about a couple of items, i still don't even know how to enter things into the warranty.

Overall quality product and quick customer response.

Given the Austin's crazy real estate market, KB did a good job with their pricing, as we had to wait 7 months for the delivery. They had good customer service and continuous updates, however, we had no possibility of changing anything in the house at all. The electric job was great. Lawns are terrible, seems like a tractor went through it and they didn't bother leveling it. Paint people are yet to make an appointment to fix the paint issues 2 months after closing. For the rest of the minor issues here and there their warranty team was awesome, they fixed it all very fast. You have to expect delays, along the way. Kb does not rush or cut corners, they make sure every step is done correctly and by the book.

Wait at least 2 or 3 months before moving in, do not sign walk thru papers until everything is fixed first. If you have money TELL them you or someone else will paint the house because the paint they use is cheap and most of the painter's don't know how to paint and get it all over the floor. Use a simple square and tape measure because the guys that slammed it together DIDN'T.

House buying during a pandemic was a bit trying. Kb did a good job in a tough situation.

Overall it was a great experience with few hiccups along the way. The KB team was able to acknowledge and address my concerns in a timely matter. If anything was missed, a simple follow up seemed to suffice and any issues were taken care of. One complaint I will have is in regards to the choice of leaving the ugly, black tube for the AC condensation drain. I’ve never seen that before and every house I’ve lived in prior has had some sort if PVC piping going into the ground (sort of a French drain). It looks pretty shoddy while it kills my grass and serves as an ideal chew toy for my dog. Wish this was addressed. Otherwise, I ultimately had a good experience. Five stars means perfect (which doesn’t exist) so 4 across the board and 3 for quality mainly because of the AC condensation drain and the number of touch ups that were needed. ... More

As a first time home buyer and after all the things I went through with others I have to say I am happy with my new home.!

I was extremely pleased with the building supervisor, Ryan. He always addressed my concerns and returned my phone calls in a timely manner. However, I am not happy with the faucets that were placed in all the sinks and the careless paint job that was done. For the money that I paid for this home, KB should of had better quality materials! Furthermore, the home lacks light. It should of had more windows and more lighting in the bathroom by the sinks. I also have to turn my lights on during the day in my kitchen. How is this going to save me energy? I also hate the toilets! I have to flush more than once! Again, I am wasting water, not saving water. Overall, the materials that were used in the home are not to my satisfaction! ... More
