I would recommend buyers to be aware of KB homes, they have put my families safety at risk knowingly but selling us base level carpet which has sharp tacks sticking out from it. I have had a number of issues with the new home, damaged cabinets, sliding door not closing properly, bad fence, door handles coming off, cracked windows and the list goes on. I have tried getting answers but they have not been keen or polite in response. We have had 1 walk through through out the build by a person who does not reply to any calls or questions. Buying a new home was always our dream but dealing with kb homes has been a nightmare. We want our home to look like the model home that we toured and fell in love with instead unfinished issues inside the home and trying to get kb home to complete the issues is ridiculous I regret ever getting a home built through kb home

My name is not important what I'm about to tell you is. I used this company to find my forever home and we are highly disappointed with our purchase. First of all they do not honor the soilder that fought for this country. They told me they do not deal with VA loans and that would mean I had to do a conventional loan. They will attempt to sell you a house with shotty craftsmanship. They have amassed great wealth at the cost of the buyer. There homes come with the bare minimum. I.E. laminated flooring and maybe some tile for bathroom or kitchen. Then when you inspect the work closely you will see the flaws that they want you to pay top dollar for. You pay close to 400.000 for a home with not one ceiling fan or a garage door opener. They even reduce the size of the driveway that is supposed to allow 2 cars to fit comfortably. When I took ownership of the property, then walk the home and found that paint was spilled on the floors throughout the entire house. I spoke with the salesman and informed him of this, he stated it would be taken care of, it never happened. So to sum things up this company is all about the money and forget about you once the deal is closed. Take it from a company that is living the life of capitalism at its best here in America. Given misinformation from the beginning. I chose my lot based on being told the last 15’ of my yard was a setback, not an easement. That was not true. Everything only got worse from there. I was supposed to close in November 2021, I didn’t close until June 2022. My lot set empty and untouched until nearly November, then it was thrown up in 4months. Because they didn’t have the house ready when it was originally set to close, my interest rate went up 3.25%. I was nearly priced out of my home. So they rushed to close me, because if they didn’t, I would have lost the house I had been showing my kids would be their new home for the last 15months. The quality of workmanship was poor. Screws are already popping out of the drywall, door frames aren’t painted, crooked studs on my frame that makes my walls look like they are bowed and wavy, driveway has clumps on concrete, porch stairs are crooked and has holes in them. When I closed on my home, the punch list had about 30items on it that should have been done prior to closing, but I was reassured that they would all be addressed within the first couple of weeks living there. I’ve lived there 6weeks. 3.5 things from that list have been resolved. Everything else is still sitting there. I get reassured every week that the items will be corrected that week, but weeks come and go, I rearrange work schedules to be there, but no one shows or nothing gets done. In addition to the $500/m I have to pay for increased interest rates, every time I have to change my schedule to accommodate these “repairs”, it cost me time and money. I keep hearing “I understand your frustration”, but THEIR understanding doesn’t make up for a fraction of the amount of money it has and will cost me over the life of my loan because they are incompetent at their jobs and do not hold themselves or tradesmen accountable. I only wish I could do my job as poorly as KB has and still collect my paycheck. This entire experience has sucked any joy out of the home buying process. If I could go back in time and make a different decision, I would not have bought this home. Because when I chose to buy a KB Home 15 months ago, I had other options. Now, I don’t. But I will never buy a KB Home again and I am telling everyone I know to not buy one either. I really hope that wherever the breakdown in skill/communication/accountability/integrity is resolved because no one deserves the experience that I had with KB. You guys consistently didn’t deliver what you said. At closing the lights in the bathrooms were off, the appliances weren’t what I ordered, etc etc etc. your staff is not up to par. I paid cash for three KB’s in the last 4 years, this will be my last.

Construction workmanship quality is lacking, lots of corners cut, follow up and fixes from construction supervisor is almost nonexistent. The promises for all hands on deck to fix a multitude of issues was not delivered.

Used very cheap material, was not responsive with issues, took several emails and calls to get responses, very disappointed

contractors do a poor job, supervisors promise to get corrections done but do not follow through

Not a good experience.

There is no trust in KB. We started our journey with someone who is no longer at KB. He left us high and dry. Indicated he would handle things and did not. It took a year to take delivery of our home. And during that time our appliances were discontinued and no one told us. Things we selected for our home were left out and now KB is not completing. We paid for certain upgrades that were not fulfilled and they aren’t wanting to fix it. We did a final walk thru prior to closing and we’ve been in our home for a month with nothing is being addressed or fixed. There is one customer service person who cannot do it all. And the KB reps want to just say no to everything you ask. There is no feeling of trust, support or responsiveness. Had I known that this was the KB experience I would have run the other way. ... In the beginning of the home buying process Every thing was great. However when we came very close to closing our closing date was pushed back by three months. Not to mention the chicken farm and it smells horrendous at least half of the week. If I could go back in time I would not build again with KB Homes this was a horrible experience and I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy. The warranty that they have set up is a big joke every time you call about something that’s broken it takes them 2 to 3 weeks to respond. Purchase at your own risk.

I will share my experience with kb home

We closed on our house over 60 days ago and you still have not completed building it. Issues pointed out to the team months before we closed are still not resolved. Management lies and makes promises they have no intention of following through with.

IN SHORT, I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND KB AS A BUILDER. POOR QUALITY OVERALL IN EVERY AREA.

Before I gave a satisfied rate, everybody related my home was so nice and kind and took care of my complaint. However, after rating, they 1) IGNORE ME 2) BROKEN APPOINTMENT WITHOUT NOTICE OR EXCUSE 3) SENT WORKERS WITHOUT NOTICE OR INFORM EVEN VERY EARLY MORNING 4) TOOK ALMOST 4 MONTHS JUST SCUREWED SOMETHING 5) LET BROKEN MASTER BED WINDOW OPEN MORE THAN 2 MONTHS THAT ALLOWED CONSTRUCT DUST CAME INTO MY HOUSE. Finally, I give up complaint more, because I do not trust them and I do not have more energy to wait them.

We were provided unsatisfactory experience throughout the entire process, from initial purchase to final move-in. The quality of the workmanship and customer service were horrible! There is value of our new home because of the lot size and location I’m hesitant to trust the home itself has the value of what we paid due to lack of workmanship/customer service. Our experience with the builder’s team was that they severely lack communication and follow through as well as disregard homebuyers concerns. They never did what they promised and keep making excuses for it. They have never respond to us in a timely fashion. What I would like buyers to know most is that if they have to buy a home here they should use their own Lender and Realtor and ABSOLUTELY DO NOT attend the home orientation without their realtor or sign off on the “orientation” without ALL items in the home cleaned, scratches buffed out, drywall being in pristine condition as well as window and electrical being to your standards! ... Home was in pathetic condition at close. Horrible finish. What's worse is they have now become very unresponsive to the problems. There are more builders out there who at least have a shred of integrity.

Every corner you can possibly think of was cut, KB homes is one of the poorest quality homes I have seen. I'm missing full cabinets in the bathroom, fixtures are the cheapest ones from home depot, my shower curtain rod doesn't even have complete hardware. The door going from the garage into the laundry room., when it shuts, the entire wall flexes. That wall is also shared by the master bathroom and even the bathroom door twists. I have video of it doing it as well. We have also had 3 led puck lights go out since we moved in. We have also had a main condesate drain line leak all over a wall which we found out was never connected. And there is mold growing in that wall that was never replaced. They did everything they could to hide it. And now it's behind the wall which I've still have pictures of. Go over this house with a fine tooth comb. ... More

Nothing but lies to extremely poor construction. Never again with KB!

Bad experience, bad service. There is still no orientation list even after more then 1 month of closing. Walls look terrible, backyard looks terrible, nothing was fixed

Would not recommend KB home for anyone.

There is a consistent lack of quality in both the materials used and the workmanship that went into the construction of this house . And trying to get the most basic items fixed has been a disaster. Again, they have over promised and under delivered.

Everything made disappointing.next time I'm not gana be with KB home
