Service in person was fantastic. Service over the phone was mediocre. AC stopped working after 2 months due to poor drain installation but I didn't have to pay for the repair.

There were some issues with thr electrical. We had things wired so we could install lights and it took 4 hours to put up 4 coach lights because of poor workmanship. We have been in thr house for 4 weeks now and I not sure what else we will find as we go.

Sales, Design Center, Contractors- A+++++++++ KB's Loan Process and Underwriters F++++ We were not first time buyers , good credit, work history and payment history. Not a risk yet we felt like we were being interrogated by the FBI. Customer unfriendly.

The Lid on the water meter is broken and it has not fixed yet since Jan 13th. Everyone is aware of it not sure what is causing the delay.

Water pipe missed.

I had the plumbers miss the hot water pipe to my washer machine and after a week of moving in, my daughters closet flooded. I was miserable and I started hating my house so much. Everything was fixed a week and a half later. It was a very stressful experience. I’m slowly starting to love my house again since that has been repaired.

I did not expect a big name like KB Home to contract workers who were very careless and sloppy with their performance. The caulking and painting job was horrible; we had several missed spots, water-based paint instead of glossy paint was used to disguise missed spots on doors and door frame. Several cracks observed inside and outside the home, and bulging lines observed on the ceiling. The side gate was missing a pole/stud, which left the side yard exposed to the outside. Also, the newly installed HVAC system was retaining condensation in the attic. Another annoying design/workmanship issue ...

A screen window was missing and reported it but haven't been fix the issue yet. A head fire at the kitchen hasn't been fix yet too. I reported the second day I got my keys and fixing yet.

When they show you the model homes the are so perfect. I am not taking about the upgrades, but the finish of paint, cabinets, walls, garage door and landscaping. I have many issues minor and major ones. The staff are amazing and knowledgeable but they are small in number and can't keep up. I have to wait for repair a long time.

We are pleased to move in to our new home in Elderberry, Portola Springs Irvine. We thank KB Home customer service of their responsiveness to our request of any touch up works that are needed once we move in. They know our concerns and schedule appointments quickly and have people come over to do touch up works. Thank you for the attention and courtesy that KB Home customer service has shown to us.
