I heard from my friends that KB homes were very good, When I moved to my new home i realized why they recommended KB homes. The quality of the materials they used is very good. What ever they mentioned in paper they mean it and you can see that when you live in KB home. I definitely recommend to go with KB homes.

Overall ok experience. There are a lot things I wished would have been different but the process did turn out better than expected at the end.

Salesman: Started with Claudia ended with Jeff (great guy - I like Jeff) Loan Officer: Started with “forgot name” ended with Corey(I liked him) Project manager: Started with John, ended with Chris. (Not going to say anything bad but I don’t have anything good to say about either) Customer Service Rep: Started with Eric and now have Damon ( Damon is definitely helping with the issues) With all the switching, I felt like that was a red flag alone.... Honestly I haven’t been happy. This was my first purchased home and I’ve had quite a few issues. Yes, understand mistakes happen but does this company have a in house inspector or is it the “project managers” job to catch the workers mistakes... Just a few things I’ve dealt with in my “brand new home”..... Some of the bedroom doors don’t lock - need to tell Damon. Carpet issues - repaired! Fence detached - notified Damon Dented garage - replaced and painted. Damon is working on that. John our sales guy is awesome! The issues we have faced is with the problems with simple things: with windows that aren't straight, knocking in the walls, cement that was broken never being fixed or scheduled to be fixed. We have been called, but the repair team is awful. Our specific guy has not communicated well, when we have told him issues he has said, "that's just the way it is." When he has scheduled things often times we were at work and we had told him we couldn't be there. When the crews came to fix the issues they have done a great job, unfortunately we still have at least three issues that haven't been fixed. ... More

Not bad. Just be sure about your closing date

There is no clear demarcation between homes which will help to maintain. There were some extra materials in garage during home walk through but later it was taken away. I asked multiple times but no response.

Experience was pretty good. I think the builders can pay more attention to detail on items inside home (back splash, base boards, arches, tiling). All the items I mentioned were off and never corrected. Sod was laid over rocks, carpet has a rock or hard item underneath it in the bedroom. Once we moved in it was hard to get in contact with anyone about our issues. Some issues still haven’t been resolved.

Nobody wants to help us

The buying process was smooth when it came to actually dealing with a sales rep and closing. The building process though is not amazing and if you cannot go by every day and check on the work being done then I caution you. KB Home's motto in my neighborhood was build bigger for less and nothing could be more than true. The quality of work is spotty, no one is checking the trades peoples work the day they do things. Mistakes are made but rather than the construction crew in charge calling it out, I am the one that has to send pictures and bother them to fix it. I’ve had several issues that were promised to be fixed and have not been fixed with no updates or responses.

Purchasing my KB home had highs and lows. The highs was my loan officer and sales person. I had a really good experience. The lows where the changing in superintendents and lack of response. Even now the warranty repairs are taking such a long time to address. It is really frustrating. Jeremy and Antone are pretty good but Jeremy came at the end. I appreciate his efforts. But my family was really hurt by the constant delaying of closing. At one point we had 3 days to close and then the close was pushed. That creates an homeless situation for my family and I.

Be ready ,be patient and flexible

Great experience with the Staff at the Sales Center. our home was delivered with some incomplete issues. the response was quick in addressing the issue but action to correct the issue was unsatisfactory. to date we still have issues that are not completed not sure when this will be addressed.

Ensure all corrections are done prior to closing.

Yes for the value today I think they could put a little more into the building process of the upgrades probably could have offered more and with this only being too much into the moving process it really takes the first year to see how the house holds up so what I would like to see is this survey to come back after a year and then I could really give it a good evaluation

Sales Process was amazing! Kimberly was so helpful and was always around for each step of our hole being built. The builders side of the experience was not the best. After we moved in we started to notice paint chipping outside of the home. The base boards aren’t straight. We felt a little rushed on our final walk, where it felt like we didn’t get to look closely at our home before closing and the builders would mention they would be around to assist if needed. What an adventure getting into our new home. There were a few bumps but we manage to get through it. Just wish we could of locked in our interest rate sooner. Sebrina and Nora were great to work with. Sebrina sent picture updates as things were getting done. Nora, resolved every lending issue and communicated with us often. Looking at our home from the outside was everything we expected. But during our walkthrough there were many flaws I noticed and some after getting settled in. With the time KB took to build our home these issues should have been seen and fixed. We've reached out to KB warranty the issues will be looked and hopefully resolve. Overall my home buying experience was pleasant. However I have closed on my home over a month ago and construction is still not completed. I am waiting on cabinets, painting and bathroom countertops to be completed. The warranty department has been very helpful l, however I should have been notified by construction not to expect my home 100% completed at closing

KB Home has a great reputation name but at the Mockingbird home the sales staff, and Office staff, we had a horrible experience. I would never buy another home from KB.

Overall my experience with sales and finance were great. However the workmanship and follow up are very poor I still have issues with my home that should have been addressed prior to closing.

Attention to Detail was not very good at all! Response time to issues that were supposed to be addressed before move in were not completed and had to constantly call and get the same run around.

Overall I cannot complain, my home is beautiful and in a beautiful neighborhood. Pros: beautiful home, beautiful neighborhood, nice price and great location Cons: During the process was promised weekly updates from Frank in the beginning. Communication with him was very difficult and far from weekly. After the build there has been several issues that need to be fixed my weeks have been filled with appointments and people come to do the same thing or put a bandaid on an issue. Example, all doors in my home need to be replaced and someone has come to take pictures 3 times and doesn’t seem to have communication of what the next step is. The workers are excellent in customer service but I’m frustrated I can’t fully move in because they haven’t fixed what should have never been broken. The warranty person is nice and responsive for the most part but I feel like slightly aggressive if I can’t answer a call right away. I work night shift so it’s difficult.
