I am happy with my purchase for the location I bought my home in. Only complain is about the finishing of my home. For the price I paid, I expected better value in things like thermostats, a very cheap COR thermostat is offered, and that cannot be changed if you don't want to void the warranty. Another thing I didn't like about KB is that, lack of hook ups for ceiling fans and in built speaker wiring system. This doesn't cost a lot, but we were not given any choice to upgrade too, as we bought the home little late in the process. I think such things should be included in a home which is ...

There are indeed problems with the quality of the house. Many areas need to be repaired. The lock on the door has fallen off many times and the door is damaged. The main problem is that the house will tremble whenever a large car passes by!

The loan processor and agent Corey were helpful and responded to all my questions timely. The sales agent Susan was great as well. The issue is dealing with warranty. I have paint that is cracked, baseboards that are damaged, missing caps on the rain caps on the roof, scratched sink…the list goes on. I submitted these concerns in October and none have been resolved. I was given an in person appointment October 11th so I guess we’ll see how that works out.

Home is beautiful, however, there were a lot of little details that did not meet my expectations for the price paid. Cabinets had issues, crown molding had issues, flooring seems uneven in some areas.

Overall, the experience was subpar. Everything was going great in the process up until the point we signed our purchase agreement. After that, we went to studio and picked out all of our upgrades. Options were mispoken for, for ex: sprinkler system/gutters not included and were told they were. We upgraded to all gas appliances and upgraded appliance options and somehow they mistakenly did not include gas drop ins for our most important appliances such as the dryer and double connvection oven. Mr. Chavez is phenomenal and once he temporarily took over the Harbor Dunes community, everything started to positively progress in the right direction. However, I’m still missing a bunch of items and no details on when those items will come in other than it’s on back order. Still waiting on several items to be fixed as well. Lastly, the subcontractors that KB Home hired to build, install, paint, etc… were very sub-par. While we are overall happy with our home we are tired of hearing ‘that’s an issue with trades’, sorry the manufacturer is not helping you with that. 3 months into our home and the wrong size blinds, the broken cabinet and the dishwasher that will not dry remain a problem that the builder can’t/won’t fix. The builder hired the blinds company, the cabinet company and selected the manufacture of the dishwasher. Time for the builder to take responsibility for getting things fixed.

Take your time to check everything carefully before signing off. My brand new stainless steel sink has been scratch, also my counter top. The paint on my garage still showing streaks of white paint, My front doorknob has a different color paint than my stain door. At the bottom of my front door I can see daylight . The builder was great. The sub contractors work was rushed and not well done. Had to have workers come back multiple times to fix things that should have never been an issue. We are still waiting on things to be fixed after almost two months. We were told items would be fixed before we moved it and they were not. Now that contractors are busier it’s taking 2-3 weeks to get anyone to come back and do repairs. Even the guys sent for repairs aren’t completing the job. Materials like the upgraded paint and the standard countertops are poor quality
