Price per square feet is lower than the market, therefore good value for the money.

Overall great company to work with. They do need to work on there communication and timing . You can tell they rushed to get the job done

I love my house. I plan to live in it some time but if I were to buy again I definitely go with a KB home.

Overall, the home was constructed well. That said, greater focus on small details would have made it better. One example is the placement of the water pipes underneath the master bath sink. The placement takes usable space away from the interior of the cabinet. On the positive side, Rory and CJ have been great in quickly responding to issues.

Home should have been inspected for issues prior to my walk thru. There was a obvious electrical issue with the fireplace ( live wires laying inside the fireplace) that was a safety hazard. Was not fixed until we were in the home for 3 weeks.

the foam outside is terrible and the plants were not very well taken care of, but overall the house is fantastic.

We were not thrilled with our realtor as the updates were always 2 weeks behind, we didn’t receive our mailbox keys once we closed and then I had to drive out of my way to get them to avoid my power being turned off, and we initially had to change lots from our original pick which put us a month behind. Our superintendent was awesome and really helped with our experience. He always addressed all of our issues and never seemed annoyed with questions or concerns. He kept us up to date throughout the process as well. Overall quality of home was good and I’m happy for the price, I was not thrilled with the tile in the bathroom shower and paint on doors; thankfully we didn’t upgrade our bathrooms and planned to do it in the future. ... Not quality craftsmanship.

KB does build with some quality materials like the ZIP system and the flexible water piping. However, most builders include 9foot ceilings as standard and walk in showers as standard but KB does not. Walk through was not handled as well as it could have been and the home wasn’t ready to close despite numerous reminders of outstanding items but had no choice but to close on closing date.

KB really needs to do a review of the landscaping subcontractors. Too many weeds in the sod, sod placed with gaps in between. It will eventually grow together, but will take a couple of growing seasons. Each home is elevated, which is good in case of flooding, but leaves a water-logged trench between the homes, after a heavy rain, which takes days to dry out due to sunlight only hitting the areas for a short time due to the zero-lot-line layout of the development. So far, I am very happy with the construction of the house.

expected better finish than delivered. Ok, but not great. small things not up to par. Need someone on site before closing to review the complete structure for finish - paint, flooring, install etc. House was not up to standards or readiness and cleanliness. Jess saved the day at closing.

Very happy with my new home. After moving in we have found minor details and same were noted by our Engineer, Joey and all were taken care of promptly. Very happy with the attention given on matters.

As a first time home buyer the process was very smooth. Doug in sales was very helpful with assisting us in getting exactly what we wanted.

I do not recommend buyers to go with KBHS lending. They are awful to work with. They do not communicate well with the home buyer to the sales office to the Title company. It’s hard to reach them and only via email. From sales office to customer service to construction, they were great to work with.

I would refer KB to a friend or relative with the caveat that they must stay alert and involved during the whole process. If you don't understand something, speak up. There were several errors along the whole buying/building process. KB was responsive and corrected the issues after I noticed and mentioned the errors. Of note, I found a lack of transparent deadlines for making buyer decisions, with a then all of a sudden immediate need to finalize choices with a very short lead time. I had done my research early into the options I wanted (both within the KB design center and outside resources), and so I was thankfully prepared to make the choices. If I had not been ready, I could have been forced into making decisions that might have been mistakes. Buyers...stay involved in the process and speak up when something is not right. Home is in good condition, there are details in the house that could have used some extra attention.

Very Good

KB Home met and exceeded many of my expectations. But it seems like you deal with too many different people during the process and it can get extremely confusing. I did feel as though some of my upgrades were too expensive.
