I work in construction and my jobs are never as messy as the job site was at my new house. Food spilled on the subfloor trash everywhere. I still find trash in my yard from the construction process. Sump pump was in the wrong location, electrical was not correct run, miss matched paint on closet doors, lots of drywall issues, tiles chipped and not grouted, door trim impropriety installed, broken appliances and the house was never properly cleaned before they turned it over. Honestly right now it isn’t going well.. I asked for a brand new house which I got thanks to you guys and we love it!! But the issue right now is the house got done about a month ago and were having bugs issues and there’s nothing really going on to fix the issue. My wife has been waiting for a phone call back since Monday and nothing has happened. A little disappointed.

Need a lot of rework done! Roof leaks floor squeaks on 2 rooms! Stairs sound like there falling apart. Window Not square! Paint falling off out side! Poor craftsmanship done with kB homes! Sad but true!

Some people keep their word others not so much.

Generally a good experience, there was some hiccups, but overall satisfied

Everyone was kind, but the house has many things to fix and several details and they have not communicated or told me when they come…

First we were three weeks past our estimated closing date. So we were expecting the home to be “finished” when we closed. There were numerous items not done or working. Heat did not work for over 5 days. Loaner Kitchen fan not working. Missing outlets in living room and outside. And the house had not been cleaned. They promised touch ups in thirty days, it’s been two months no touch up. List is too long to put here. We’ve had several phone calls with customer service and supervisor. They promise to get on top of it, but rarely update us. They also promise to visit and do not show up. Our neighbors have problems with their homes as well. To be honest, we love this area but would probably not would not have bought from KB. Definitely not recommending KB for any community. ... More

Great support from sales team but poor and slow support from construction, engineering and customer service during and post close.

Is a good experience to buy a house from KB but the quality and the response is very bad overall.

Schedule a pre-drywall inspection in addition to a regular inspection before closing

Responsiveness to issues is zero. They were supposed to have a 10 day walk through with me after packing into the house. They never did. I have called, gone to the sales office and reported issues in the new house and up till this moment nobody has gotten back to me. One of the issues I have is the toilet. It doesn't flush properly, nothing is occluded the passage. Probably an engineering error, I would guess. It's so frustrating that I just packed into a newly built house with just one toilet in a four bedroom house. This is really a bad experience. Closing date was changed several times. No exact dates. After the closing construction crew didn’t do what they had promised to. Hard to get in touch with them. No incentives or anything. No proper house gift from sales rep compared to other builders.

Had I known that KB Homes does not stand by the products in their homes I would never have bought a home. I will never give a positive referral to friends and relatives, as a matter of fact I have told everyone that they should never buy a KB home. I will be going online and making a scathing post about how horrid this company is.

Very bad quality of finish and materials

We have been here 6 weeks and still the house is not complete. Poorest workmanship I have ever seen. Have been promised numerous times for the completion but, to no avail. Front door was to be painted completely blue which was what we had picked out in the design studio. The door is only painted blue on the outside. Paint droppings on all floors. Several closet frames are 1/2 inch different from side to side. Transition molding in kitchen is not secure. Seal on one window is coming off. Sorry we bought into this house. Walk out the back door and you roll down the hill. Not level at all.

Now that we have been here a few months, we are noticing an alarming number of issues. Windows are leaking when it rains, drywall inside is wet, soft and peeling from rain outside (i can literally put my finger through it), windows that wont lock, grout completely cracked open on the kitchen counter which is now allowing water from the leaking window into the cabinets which will ruin them and cause mold, kitchen cabinets not properly installed at the floor, broken patio light, AC did not pass some type of inspection, door handles through out the house all coming loose, water coming in from the bottom of the sliding glass door, not to mention all the cosmetic issues of paint and caulk all over the floors and light switches that we have had to scrape off (and still are), paint stains on the carpets, nails sticking out of cabinets, uneven paint on the walls….the list goes on. Not what you would expect from brand new construction. It is apparent that many corners were cut while building this house. We gave a long list of issues several weeks ago and have yet to be contacted to have them fixed. We are very dissatisfied with the quality if this house and are finding more issues every day. ... Dahlia and Joey were great to work with. However, the underwriter(s) were terrible to work with. They made me feel I had to prove I was giving honest answers to anything and everything. Took them so long to do things that I needed to pay extra to get more time to close

This could've just been the whole housing market in 2021. Four months after signing, our home was still a dirt pile. But weeks later, foundation was poured, the structure went up fast & filled in soon after. The default paint may scrape off easily in places, but everything else has held up well. Maintenance staff has been helpful around the house too.

Overall experience was good. The construction team is excellent and responsive

Communication with sales rep was difficult. Due to shortage and winter storm pushed back move in dates. Great Experience with everyone else, on the KB team. We love our home

the building team was and is amazing. they are the reason I recommended kb homes in the state of florida.

My experience with the builder and Sarah was awesome. They answered every question I had and was able to assist me when needed. My 3 star rating is due to the loan officer, Sylma. As a loan officer she was not knowledgeable and very incompetent. She would give closure dates and not make her deadlines. Instead of her being honest with the changes in the closure dates she would put blame on others. I was told my closure date was changed due to waiting on meters to be installed. Once the meters were installed my closure date was changed again because she was waiting on GSFA to approve me. When I contact GSFA I was told my application was not received. Immediately after I contacted Sylma and told her what was said and who my point of contact was and only at this time she admitted to me she was not familiar with the program and had to get educated on it. Her apologies were not accepted because I had asked her before I went with KB Loan if she was knowledgeable to the program and was told yes. I forgot to mention I had given my landlord my notice to move, so I was displaced for three weeks and had stressed this to Sylma and her supervisor Steve. Both of them promised to get the paperwork done ASAP, but that didn’t happen. It took GSFA a few hours to approve my application, but it took them over three weeks to process and submit a few pages.
