Overall we are happy with our home. Specifically we had a great experience with our sales person James who continues to go above and beyond with communication and service. Our first studio visit was rough. We found out on our second studio visit that the studio rep from the first visit had added extra features we didn’t ask for. Thankfully we caught it before everything progressed to construction. Construction has a few problems. They resolved most of them but a few problems remain. Stipulate your issues from the start and demand contact at least once a week for updates. Do not stand for getting bullied for using your own lender. I recommend Rocket mortgage. After your deposit with KB, you have 30 days to back out, threaten them that there are other builders waiting for your business.

Construction crew was awesome. Sales staff and loan group was less responsive. Once moved in, we have noticed a lot of small issues that seem to be from rushed work.

For the price I paid for my home. I am very surprised of a lot of the issues, that I am coming across. And, when advising of the issues, I am not getting them resolved. I asked, since I am not getting issues resolved, if my warranty be extended. I was advised no.

Sales staff was amazing with helping find a lot and floor plan that fits my needs. After that we took a wrong turn somewhere. Once the slab was poured, I identified an issue missing with a missing the rewire for the floor outlet (contract stated before slab). Brought it to the builders attention, his response was it should be there if it's on the contract. Fast forward a week or 2, they had to cut the slab for wiring, bit it was in. The builders were rushed and did a poor job on details. They wouldn't allow me an additional day. I had to close on August 20th. If they had held off for another month, the issue I have wouldn't exist. The paint job is poor, the cracks in almost all corners in the Master bathroom weren't sealed. Cracked tile in the master bath and instead of replacing it the put grout on it. Wood around the island is not flush, it puckers in the corners. Beautiful home

The home is absolutely beautiful. The entire staff from the construction team to the sales team are professional and friendly. There are some issues with its corporate management. They are non-responsive. Happy with the home but not happy with how certain concerns are handled or should I say ignored.

Matt, Peter and Roger are great at what they do and very pleasant to work with. They are the team that build your house from ground up. Unfortunately for them, the sales team and K.B.H.S, fell significantly short in providing satisfactory customer service. Craftsmanship, damaged cabinets, caulking, damaged drywall, damaged wall trim, unfinished garage was agreed on but the drywall was damaged. Planks on the brand new fence were popping off the rails. I spent time and money repairing items in the a brand new house I paid over 330 thousand for. I didnt expect this from a brand new home, maybe I expected more. They were not super responsive after the contract was signed. Also, once the home closed, the responsiveness dropped to 0. There was no guidance on whom to contact in case of unforseen situations. However, it's been just a few months since the home was ready. Let's see how things go as the home ages.

Noticed crack in bedroom window. Informed salesperson, who stated the replacement window was on order. During homeowner orientation, noticed blinds were placed over broken window. The Superintendent of construction was not aware of the issue. So, who ordered the replacement window? Was not made aware of non-delivery of mail. The process was pretty simple and the timeline that was provided for our new bill to be finished was accurate. The sales office was always accommodating and welcoming, and honest about different questions we had including upgrades. Once the final walk-through was complete and we moved in, that’s when he realize the quality of work and craftsmanship left much to be desired. Overall, we felt slightly disappointed after moving into our new home. However, these are usually single-family starter homes so somewhat to be expected.

I like my home and most of the process was good. However, when an issue arose, that KB had not disclosed to me in a timely manner, it was made clear that I was not as important as their bottom line and that "Business was Business" per Jerrod in Management. It was 3 weeks before I was due to close. I think Jerrod would have been happy if I just walked away.
