KB completed my house in time

We had very few issues with our home build. The local sales office, our loan representative and most of all, our building contractor, Gilbert, made all the difference. They were very responsive and went above and beyond the call. We did experience a few issues with the main corporate office and the "personal touch" could've been better. Paperwork was lost, including our earnest money check. The corporate office said they found our earnest check, but we're still waiting for that refund because we had to come up with extra cash at closing to make up for that. But the home is very well built and small issues like a misaligned cabinet door have been addressed. I would also note that the Studio process of selecting options could be a little more streamlined, less convoluted and easier to navigate. Pricing can be confusing and some options like lighting can be more expensive than just purchasing your own lights and installing them yourself. I would have no reservation in recommending a KB Home to those looking to build. Just be diligent and involved with the process and you should be fine. ... More

We love our home and the neighbourhood. However, I do feel that some finishings and quality of the materials could have been better. I must say that I had to be on top of the construction throughout the whole process requesting improvements and that was a little annoying. Some details like fence materials and landscaping should be improved. Ok the other hand, the variety of upgrade options made us feel we could give our house a special touch.

there was a distinct lack of disclosure regarding the exterior of the home. using kb mortgage was a very good experience.

Everything has been great from the start. Nathan has been awesome on guiding me this first month that I’ve lived in my home answering any questions I have. He has also had minor repairs done for me that I missed during the walk through and etc. Definitely would recommend family and friends to build and or buy a home through KB! I love my KB home and builders.

All and all every staff member was a super helpful

KB worked diligently and efficiently in helping us buy our homes.

Staff at KB homes have been professional, helpful and very friendly, they respond to calls and either fix the problem or lead you to the right people to get the problem fixed..

KB Home's staff were great throughout the escrow process. There were some bumps along the way though no fault of KB, I'd had some financing issues, and then the Covid-19 pandemic hit, but Blake & Charlene kept me informed & up to date despite all the bumps that occurred. I truly felt they were on my side throughout the whole process. Robert the construction supervisor was always available to me whenever I had a question. Well done.

Great company. Really enjoyed the process but the basic house without upgrades is not worth the price and some of the upgrades are a little on the pricey side. We did a lot of upgrades ourselves after we closed. Overall would build with them again.

The experience was very positive until we started dealing with the finance department of KB Homes. We have great credit and credit scores and was going to put a down payment of half the cost of the house, yet the finance department (Mr. Aguilar) failed to be transparent with communication on items that was needed and the request for unusual request for letters for the home purchase was too much. In the end, it all worked out and we went with Navy Federal Credit Union and closed within 3 weeks after our initial visit with the credit union. They took care of care of a 30 year active duty service member w/o all of the unusual letter request to purchase a home in Texas. ... More

KB Homes has been very attentive to ensure we are pleased with our new home purchase. They have responded to any question we had and followed up to verify everything was to our satisfaction. I rate them very highly on a quality product.

Paid alot of money and have alot of warranty items that could have and should have been fixed before closing. Closing was a horrible experience. Showed up at 10am for closing only to find out closing was cancelled and it wasn't KB Homes who told me about the cancellation or why. I had to make alot of phone calls that day to get to close. It was something that could have been avoided with a simple phone call on KB Homes part instead I had to make numerous calls to push the process thru. Double check your process the day prior to avoid any surprises. They won't call you!

good to know things are new but not alway used the best products when getting the Basic features

Buildup materials are very good. Our property model was designed to cancel outside noise. Very quiet inside the house. Quality of workmanship should be double and triple checked for the general contractor and subcontractors. Upon occupancy of the property, we came across items that were damaged and loose fixtures. Painters failed to remove edging tapes, clean their areas, and windows were dirty. KB has a checklist during a walk-through. The company definitely can improve reliability of the subcontractors to keep them at a higher standard. A quality control or a checklist should be performed for each sub’s workmanship. Hello, Just wanted to say how much we love and appreciate our home. It’s everything we have dreamed of and more. There’s a few call outs that I have. 1st being our plumbing had multiple issues the first month when we moved in. We had a blockage in the pipes which created 2 leaks. Thankfully it was fixed with no charge. 2nd we had issues with our sliding door. Thank fully it was replaced but the fact that we had a new home we figured those issues shouldn’t occur since the home and materials are brand new. 3rd : The wood under our island has come OFF!!! We love to maintain and clean our home Atleast 2-3 times a week and we noticed with sweeping and mopping our kitchen floor the wood underneath our island was poorly installed and yet to be fixed since it has happened before our 30 day mark. Overall I appreciate everything but I believe it’s in my nature to make sure I give an honest review so the next customer doesn’t have any issues. ... More
