Our build took 10-11 months and we received several updates that were inaccurate during the process. There were several occasions where work was advised to have been completed but was not. The quality of the build was nothing spectacular and there are plenty of flaws due to KB’s choice of contractors. We have been in the home for two months and we are still waiting for issues to be corrected; such as the lawn being replaced due to dead, weed infested grass being installed. While I am mostly satisfied with my home, KB was not at all responsive to my issues during the construction. It was delayed by nearly a year but they wouldn't actually tell me that. They gave me an initial date and, once that passed, they wouldn't give me a date again until construction was complete (not even an estimate). Everyone I worked with at the start was either laid off or quit at some point during the construction. Our service team was laid off as soon as we closed escrow so we now have no one to go to in response to issues. We are told someone is about to be assigned to us but ...

There are lot of exceptions and issues after our closing. Chris - our warranty manager was extremely helpful in trying to sort out the issues, but still the delay in exception lists are unacceptable. Also, the quality of the materials are not up to the mark.

Overall, we love the property. However, due to delayed timelines, it seems that construction process was rushed. The interior of the property did not go through a deep inspection before releasing it to us. We have several issues that should have been caught through internal inspection prior to releasing the home. The construction team particularly Danny has been extremely helpful. KB Homes has great selection of features for the home. However, everything costs money: you want lights in a room? It is going to cost you. You want lights in the kitchen and living room? It is going to cost you. It does NOT come with lights, only outlets for "lamps". Be aware of the great variety of options available, as they can be costly and increase the home purchase price significantly higher. Overall, so far, great quality home (2 months in). Also, plan for significant delays. If they expect the home to be "finished" by a certain month, plan at least 1-2 months more of delays. That way, ...

The quality of the finished product at final walk through was not as expected. The project manager did not seem concerned that this final issues we pointed out 2 weeks before closing were not fixed the day before we were to close. We had to beg them to get the issues fixed 24 hrs. before closing. We have also had a number of issues after closing. The driveway needed to be redone twice and the roof leaked into the home and things got wet inside. Other than that we like the home and the floorplan works well.

I Had a decent experience. Best part was how consistent the property manager at Carter landing Keri was. She was the best with keeping me informed of progress of the home while it was being built . I didn’t care for how inconsistent the superintendent was. Seemed like he was overwhelmed with his work load. He could use an assistant covering so many communites
