Homebuyers should keep in mind that they are not just buying but building the home of their dreams. As much as there is a Purchase Agreement, homebuyers should be more aware and should have a full understanding of what the terms truly are. There are provisions based on a timeline. However, if you are not 100% decided nor are you 100% satisfied with the product, you do not need to accept or agree with anything.

Overall the sale manager was the best experience; but as a customer we didn’t have the option to change certain aspects of the house to make the overall experience rememberable. Experience was overall basically you buy as is; which was unsatisfactory

The overall workmanship needs improvement. We were hesitant to close on our home, but was assured that these items would be corrected once workorders were submitted. Our lawn has drainage issues on one side of the house, which we were told would be fixed, but hasn’t been. Doug, our sales rep, has always been great with checking in on us and making sure we are okay. I would give him 10 stars off we could.

Construction team lead by the superintendent was awesome I would give them 10/10. Sales team I would not recommend. One of the workers were not knowledgeable on the models and seemed to just say what we wanted to hear. The Mortgage lending process could have been a lot more efficient. One of the staff would never answer her phone and seemed to be unorganized.

I was happy buying a new home but now after a couple months I am feeling somewhat discriminated, there was options which was never offered or told I could get, I did some research with a few neighbors and found out they were offered those options to them.

The salesperson we dealt with was not forthcoming about the true price of the home or the options we would be getting in the home. Our concerns were not addressed properly until we reached out to higher management on our own as our sales agent would not do it. Once we tried to be made whole and expressed the concern to her manager, there was nothing done about it and we were made to feel like it was our fault and we were stuck. As owners we have had to deal with numerous issues, from paint , drywall, cabinetry, hardware, and electrical. It has taken a lot longer than we think it should have to resolve these issues. We're also lucky that we have somebody in the house to be there for all of these various appointments that have had to be made to take care of these issues. If not, either my wife or I would have missed quite a bit of work to be at the house.

While some items weren't immediately noticeable, we have quite a few issues with floor levels, improper installation of fixtures, chunks missing from door frames, loud air conditioner that vibrates bedroom wall despite adding additional insulation, landscape died before move-in, etc. We were supposed to be contacted for a 10 day and 30 day after inspection and never were. We had issues that were basically going to be ignored if we didn't push and are still awaiting fixes.

After choosing to go with KB Home to build my very first home, I must say that this experience could have been better. The property looked good until my family and I moved in. There were a few inconveniences inside the home that had to be fixed. Plus all the midges or blind mosquitoes that were inhabiting the house when we moved in. And don’t get me started on the untreated pond behind the house. The experience was very positive until we started dealing with the finance department of KB Homes. We have great credit and credit scores and was going to put a down payment of half the cost of the house, yet the finance department (Mr. Aguilar) failed to be transparent with communication on items that was needed and the request for unusual request for letters for the home purchase was too much. Overall I think KB Homes are good homes to buy. This is my second time buying a KB Home. The first home I purchased was in CA 30 years ago. Great experience! This is my second KB Home. It is in AZ. Not a great experience! I was mistakenly expecting the same customer service as my CA experience. I will only mention the major problem because of time. The home I purchased was completed in June 2019. I looked at the house in December 2019 and decided to purchase it. We moved in at the beginning of February 2020. My only complaints have to do with the quality of the build. I've had trouble and continue to have trouble with the white tile flooring that I had installed. There were red stains all over the house (and there still is some), but I just gave up after the 5th time they sent someone out to clean it. Also, our dishwasher and washer have already flooded the house causing damage to the floorboards. There's patches in the paint on the exterior and paint in some of the outlets inside. Other than that, it's just been minor fixes, but easily prevented issues.

House construction was delayed by 4 months, which is understandable to some extend but it wasn't easy dealing with temporary place to stay and having your mortgage rate lock expire since KB kept sending inaccurate closing dates. The home quality itself is ok. For being a new home I was expecting better quality in terms of finish. To mention a few things: nails sticking out the middle of the carpet, some gaps between floor and wall base, uneven layout of floor tiles that make a room look like its longer on one end than the other. We had a lot of issues with the house when we moved in, our Central air and heat did not work, we had electrical problems, paint clean up, exterior of the house was missing paint, just to name a few. But Gary our warranty guy made sure that we were taken care of right away and had all of these issues fixed. But we did expect the workmanship to be way better, to many unfinished details for a new built house.

We had an outstanding experience with all KB staff, however the quality of craftsmanship and care of construction was very poor in our first home build experience. We had trash left in our walls and behind HVAC units, carpet laid over debris, flooring laid incorrectly, missing electrical components, missing plumbing components, and more which has led to an unpleasant month of constant repairs and fixes after moving in. KB offers affordable model homes, with decent workmanship. I did not give it 5 stars, because there was no transparency upfront about the additional costs involved in building the home like the lot premiums, or what was involved in the basic model. Their mortgage company was also difficult to contact and get a hold of.

As the saying goes, you get what you paid for. There are a lot of issues with the home and their employees seem to be let go pretty often. This has been frustrating as I was promised something only to find out someone was let go and I have to start the process all over again. Their worksmanship is horrible.
