This a great house overall but comes with a lot of issues low quality materials and some really bad details from construction contractors !! Once I start looking around everything I find a lot of ugly things I have being fixing myself since I don’t trust them at all !!

My initial experience with KB was quite good. The sales, design studio, mortgage lending and construction manager would be rated 5 stars to work with but after closing, my experience has been much different. Pretty much, once you close on the house and try to get responsiveness from the warranty department to correct sloppy work completed along the way during the construction of your 'new' home, you can expect at least a month of back and forth to try to get anything accomplished. I was disappointed since I bought my first house here in USA 10 years ago with KB Home so I really trusted this time. Unfortunately since my first sales rep left KB Home in the middle of the process the relationship get very weak until now Seems you are not well prepared for international sales. I bought this house for moving me here as primary house but I am am foreign so as family lost the first air tickets when the closing date was moved indefinitely just 4 days before the written promised date, and although it was somehow compensated in the final price it was a big inconvenient to do travel arrangements again. After closing was finally made I couldn’t receive the house because cleaning was not done even when I already have closed and paid. I found good support in the sales general manager for solving that issue the night before travel back to my born country w/o the possibility of a good checking, but again one more inconvenient. Now that I finally began my moving I found bad cleaning details, bad terminations in painting and carpets joints and cabinets don’t cared during the construction but the most important errors were a broken thermostat that made the AC work wrong and Not leaving a single TV jack point anywhere in the house so I couldn’t get internet service as due because that construction error… The issues keep going because regardless to do the notifications to the construction supervisor they take long for solving, if I dont call for follow up I dont receive updates and suddenly contractors come to my door w/o a previous notification and they lost their time because I am not at home or prepared for let them work.. Better communication between me and my loan officer. Ended up paying more in the closing because my closing date wasn’t specified to me PROPERLY. I would also like to state that I’ve been in the house for a month (the house isn’t fully up and running, minor fixes) and only one of the minor issues have been fixed. It’s unacceptable. Glad I can have a home but as a first time homeowner the whole experience is traumatizing.

Nice floor plans but concerning craftsmanship. Terrible basic options which practically force you to pay extra to upgrade. KB has a long way to go to be a quality builder for the extreme price point.

Not all issues on a repair list completed to date. No clear contact person for support. Community hoa only takes money and fees, minimal to none involvement or keeping oversight over what’s going on. Utility companies are “exempt” from notifying that they do work in front of the houses and act without regard or respect to owners. Poorly arranged and organized for owners to follow. Initially was happy about the house now Becoming more and more unhappy that got involved with this organization after paying premier market value for the property getting mediocre to borderline unfriendly support.

Excess on sales talk less on customer service & delivery

there were several pending issues that were promised to be closed with-in 10 days after closing, but those issues are still pending. Especially dry-wall, has been painted many times rather than fixing it clean.

The initial process was smooth. My rep was very helpful providing info on how to get prequalified and get into contract. The build time was very long as I was told permits were delayed 3 months. I was being pushed to close on property before the build was complete which I didn't appreciate. My initial foreman retired midway thru build process but the superintendent that took over the build was great.

Our GC Jeremy was phenomenal and was always helpful. The overall experience was ok. The workmanship of the trades is sub par just doesn’t seem like they care. It took a year to finish the house but not too bad. KB provides a quality product and I’d say probably the best builder in our area. I really like how they use metal posts for the fence because a lot of builders just go with wood. Once again Jeremy the GC was excellent!

The house has been great so far for the 2 months that I’ve lived here. The warranty process on the other hand has been less than ideal. We’ve had some damage before delivery that needed to be replaced and it was submitted during the first month of purchase and the guy was really helpful but nothing has been done so far.

almost two months after receiving the house I still have a to-do list that no one fixed... It seems that things have changed quite a bit with the importance of the client.

some things were sloppy on the build, wall was not done very well , bricks not aligned some bricks chipped, light on the porch painted over , stucco splattered on the wall of the yard and some splattered on front of the house and painted over. water pressure not very good.

Based on my experience with KB Homes, I would not go with these builders again.

3 months delay caused a closing on a higher interest rate. Finishing wasn't that good. Everything in the house is a standard and you have to pay to upgrade, upgrades only cost me $31k. Little details could make difference and help me save money such as adding a towel hanger next to the shower. But one employee can change your experience and I have to thank the superintendent Bobby who delivered my house, he is super nice and professional.

I feel the final product of the home was rushed. I felt there was definitely a push to close on the house and make the sale in order to meet 2022 goals for the company. Our superintendent did a first time walkthrough and the kitchen island was not yet completed the medicine cabinet was not installed in the guest bathroom. We’ve lived in the home for 2 months and have noticed drywall cracking on the ceiling, gray paint marks on the white walls. I just feel like the subcontractors and laborers were rushed to finish the job.

I am just ok with overall experience ,materials wasn’t as expected but in studio I forget her name but she helped us to choose really good things for home and also our Leander was also very helpful In the interior many more small things left incomplete.they have lot of cleaning issue,

My begining experience was very good but contractor and building experience is frustate. Material for make this house low quality I didn' any kb homes people to toldk about low quality materials and contractor alwys make me frustate . I closed my november 25 2022 but contractor installed blinder and screen fully . Contracotr installed blinder last 1/20/233 and screen last 10 days but not fully and lot of small issue have to fix but contractor don't do another issue contractor use electric wire out of wall on my garage door . it can't be even he didn't use any cover for electric wire. My house back glass door lock is not good . ... More

House is unfinished. Had to claim warranty to fix around the house.

Elaine who sold the home to me was and has been great! Logan as also and has been awesome too. Everything else has been okay. The communication during construction was mediocre at best. It took longer than anticipated in building and the quality control was not there either. During my first walkthrough prior to closing their were quite a few items that were missed. Also with me being out of town 95% of the time just added more to the confusion of when completion was anticipated. A few items to note are that I am waiting on my garage door panels to be replaced. I have had to reschedule in order to accommodate my schedule. But none the less, my garage door was dented and should have been caught in KB Homes walkthrough prior to my arrival. ... More

Take forever to have them come to fix stuff

was forced to pushed to close early for a whole month for no reason (other than looks good on their paper), while they were rushing to finish up the construction of the house. Had to wait for a whole month to get internet because the construction of the next door isn't completed.
