As first-time home buyers, we found KB Home's overall support and responsiveness unreliable and poor. Particularly, the communication from the sales team did not seem professional, and wasn't as informative as they had promised (weekly updates were promised but nonexistent; we had to follow up each time). We had a pretty good experience with warranty support after the sale. While there were a few (easily addressable) issues in the home, we really liked the home design and construction quality.

They are quite good to deal with but would consider the construction to be middle of the road. Not having landscaping included has been beyond frustrating as the side and back of the house are all clay that sticks to your shoes and takes a lot of time to get off of everything.

Things aren't perfect but nothing in life is. KB Home in Falcon Landing, the staff makes every effort to go beyond what is expected to make things right. Relationships you make are what makes life worth living. The staff from sales to builder and subcontractors everyone involved in the community make every effort to make things right. Thanks KB

Watch for Contractors, that there tools could damage any Wall , Bathroom tubs , Incomplete Wall Groutings , Holes on Lights fixtures, , Irrigation Water Tubes are damage ...

I have lived in a KB home all my life. My parents have owned two KB Homes and when given the opportunity to purchase my very own KB Home came about, I was excited. Unfortunately, the experiences I have had were not the same as my parents. I expected more from a long time and reputable builder such as KB Home. For the amount of money I have paid, you would think the workmanship would be at the ultimate highest level. What was even more disappointing is the "talking out of both sides of the mouth" that occurred. I was told things probably just to appease me and then there was no follow through; totally "ghosted". What made matters even worse, one customer service person tried to coerce me into giving a dishonest review, when I only spoke the truth from my experience, and because of that review, I was told they would not be doing something they said they would do, which I ended up having to come out of pocket for. Furthermore, I have taken to managing the "fixes" needed in my "new" house and currently working with a great person from another department to get things taken care of. ... More

Our first home-buying experience was ok in the end, but not this 2nd time. We had a flooring issue the first time that was resolved before we closed. Through that experience we feel that the rating system is off in our opinion. We gave a 9/10 due to the problems with the floor, but had the construction manager at our door pleading it be changed to a 10. We thought 9/10 was pretty darn good considering the flooring headache. Otherwise, that first experience was ok. Now we move on to this next experience. It has become a nightmare. The home is way way way more expensive than our first KB home, but the quality of workmanship is worse(the materials seem ok though). The workers seem to not be skilled in their respective roles (painter, carpet installer, etc. All except the worker that installed our backsplash, who gets an A+!). The construction manager is a nice fella & seems to try hard, but has way too much to do and continues to make promise after promise. The home closed with several problems being promised to be resolved later. We either get put off and put off, or the fixes are horribly done or cause worse problems. Most of our neighbors have experienced similar experiences, and some are waiting even after nearly a year. We are all disappointed and worn out. But, given the rating system issue, we are not really allowed to rate anything less than a 10 for fear folks may lose their jobs. The pressure to rate a 10 is through the roof! Though the build manager promises to fix things, many fixes are worse than the original problem. We are exhausted and worn from cleaning paint off floors, trying to schedule repair folks to come fix problems several times over, managing the manager, etc. etc. etc. I knew it was KB when I began, but was hoping it would at least be as good of an experience as our first KB home despite the problems then. It is way way worse in this community. Sales guy is AWESOME, but the rest of our experience has been beyond exhausting. Beware this Community...the neighbors are nice, but the build process and horrible workmanship and need to have things fixed over & over & over is a nightmare. :( Overall, KB seems just as fine as other builders in it's price-range/caliber. But this community...ay caramba. And with the rating pressure for a 10/10, what recourse do we have? I love my floor plan, which is why we bought with KB a 2nd time, but I am worn to a frazzle and quite disappointed with the build process & quality this time around :( :( :(. Thank you. ... More

I like my new house and in general it's well built. However, I've had a couple of warranty issues that have been open for more than 2 months without being resolved.

Bought a newly built home from KB. There are 3 steps involved. First of ,the construction process was great. The superintendent and the construction manager kept us up to date and were receptive to our complaints and concerns. The home was delivered with minor cosmetic flaws which were fixed. So, we are definitely happy with that. However, the sales person who sold us the lot and floorplan was either not knowledgeable or just plain deceptive. We were told things that proved to be false. I requested several times if there were any model homes for our floorplan at other KB locations for us to visit since this particular subdivision at the time has no model homes to show for. We received no help there. Seems like the sale was in the bag and we're left on our own. We had to look for ourselves few presentations were made to us and our realtor proved to be false. Next step, the design studio. The person at the KB design studio who took care of the home upgrades was omitting critical info. For instance, we upgraded our bathroom which included a huge clear window. But this was not relayed to us. Who wants a big clear window in the bathroom??? So, the decisions we made was based on incomplete info. Make sure to ask what other changes come with every upgrade! ... More
