Finish at home to manny details, low quality materials, Iam very upset, i have before new home in other builders and the quality is very different

Well............from the time we signed purchase agreement to move in, in between that period it was ok, it's when the walk through came up...I will stop right here because there is not enough space to leave a review for that. Overall, we are not happy to say the least.

We experienced a number of issues, such as bathroom sink cracked, doors can't close, some parts are missing etc...... Some contractors didn't response call for repairs, such as carpet repairman refused to answer phone calls, text message..... Hopefully, things will move faster in 2023.

Most of my issues are with KBHS. Very incompetent. My understanding is that since my closing they fired about half the KBHS staff at the regional office. Been 7 weeks since closing and still waiting for a refund for double charging me for an appraisal. Also still waiting for items that were not completed and have yet to be fixed. Overall the home is very nice and we like the area. Stay away from KBHS if you can. Reason I gave value for the price paid 2 stars is that they are currently selling my model for $20,000 less than I paid.

Personally the people are personable. Questions are always answered and I appreciate that. The quality of my home is not that great. I feel like the home was rushed, even though the home took longer than expected to be completed. Unfinished painting around the home, chips and dents as well. All in all, promises are not kept and quality is not there either. Not a great first home buying experience on their end.

KB home doesn’t have a good customer service, they don’t solve your problems at all after you close your house. So, is a Poot service.

Sales guy was very thoughtful and helpful all the time by the way has been the only one that threat us with respect. Contractors and superintendent make us feel like we're not paying for a quality home and what we're getting is what we got very irresponsible at the time to give us a answer or make and appoinent at this time we still waiting for repairs from our first walktrough and we still without cabinet doors has been a challenge with all our founding in the first walktrough and still are there waiting that someone will show up and threat us with respect and care. Almost two months after closing, we still waiting for window and roof repairs to be done! Had two appointments scheduled, but the KB repair staff was never showed up.

I purchased my new home from KB homes. I was in a tight spot and needed a home rather quickly. This one was available so I bought it. The craftsmanship and materials used were not worth the price paid for the home. Honestly, I would never buy or recommend a KB built home again. Corners were cut, the quality of work was sacrificed, and the materials used were prioritized in order to maximize profits. I understand this and can’t blame them. No one forced me to buy this home. This isn’t a forever home. I needed a home and this was available. I only plan to stay here for 3 years while I save to move into a better, more desirable, home. Had to give a bad review before we could get a response to issues that needed to be addressed. Project Manager and Asst. Project Manager were not on the same page as one would say one thing about the work that need to be done and the other would say something else. They gave you the feeling that when you called about a problem that needed to be addressed that you were only a complainer.

Did care for the loan process. Came into home three months left of building, As someone backed out of purchase. The lay out I have, I don’t care for. Not as functional as it should be. The work was rushed. Not worth the price I paid. In a situation I was in, I was ready just to have a home and I settled. KB could be better, my first home build from them was good. Not this time around. The maintenance supervisor, Glen, watching over the build process is great and helpful. That’s my only positive experience this time around.

Kelly the sales person almost never responded to emails. My realtor, myself, and my lender would send her things and I would have to call several times just to get a response. Timelines were critical, the whole home building process took over a year. Understandable, with COVID there were a ton of supply chain issues, those were communicated to me. The last couple months, the delays were totally in their control. Like ordering the wrong backsplash, ordering the wrong color floor transitions, failing HVAC inspection 3 times. The dates they were giving me to close kept falling through and my lender kept having to unlock my rate (each time getting substantially more expensive to do) and they little to no consideration or compensation. It was almost as if they were doing it purposely for me to pull out so they could sell it for more. On top of that I had to give my apts 30 days notice to move out and they refused to give me a good timeframe. I, instead, gave them a deadline because the Wait and move were becoming increasingly more expensive which was not fair to me, especially when the issues were unavoidable. Doug was the one who communicated with myself and the realtor through the last 30 days. He was responsible and made it happen. He made himself accessible to me, when it should have been Kelly. Doug was very personable, he was very responsive and pretty much did his and Kelly’s job at the end. Roger became rude after I asked him for communication and updates, when he told me to call him if I had any issues. He didn’t have to give me his number. The KB lender was telling people they had to apply with them in order for the builders to honor the purchase agreement. Which was untrue!!!!! Now Al is great, Briana at the design studio was super helpful. Also I been in my house 2 months and still have the wrong floor transitions and my screen was installed torn. They were supposed to finish my transitions on the 29th of June, I’m still waiting. Now I’m being told they had to reorder them. Overall very satisfied with the house, the process was a nightmare. I had to communicate closing with my lender, realtor, title company and Doug. I should have gotten paid as the sales clerk having to do all that by myself. Nobody reached out to me, again I Doug had to call me asking where I was because I closed. Nobody let my team know. I’m still waiting to have my exhaust fixed. It’s more than a month. AC is not fully functioning in one of the rooms. I requested AC people to check it. Until now, KB person has not scheduled an appointment. So frustrating!

Negatives 1)Closing delayed several times required to sign agreement to sell prior home in order to purchase this one. 2)Construction disorganized no quality control measures in place excessive warranty service tickets needed. 3) Made living in active construction area very unpleasant this is my third new build and by far the worst experience so far. Trash bins not emptied regularly even malodorous at times trash and other debris frequently blown into driveway and yard. 4)Trades continually parking behind home blocking driveway. To make it short and sweet.... An overall lack of organization and comunication. Theres no follow through, one issue after another. Two months after move in and theres still things to be installed or repaired in the home. I was hoping for a good experience but sadly KB and its proyect managers did not meet my expectations. I wanted to be in love with my house and at the end I regretted my desition. I would not buy KB Home again.

Home buying experience was at best ok. I would not recommend using their mortgage services, was a poor experience and had 4 different representatives through the process.

If I had to go through this experience with KB Home again, I would quickly decline. From start to finish there was always something going wrong or some kind of delay. I would not recommend this builder. The sales team was dishonest and lacked accountability, the design studio made false promises and the builders just told me straight up lies. The only positive experience I had was the financing part that is did through KB Home.

I expected better workmanship. The tile work looks like it was done by an amateur.

My expectations were not satisfactory, too many construction details that I am still finding, several defects of the house have not yet been corrected, despite being reported. At the time of the closing there was too much misinformation and lack of coordination between the bank and the construction company, causing the closing date to be changed several times. I would like that they could correct all the details to obtain what I initially bought.

I suggest not to close until all issues are resolved. After you close they take for ever to resolved your problems. I closed 3 months ago and still waiting for a cabinet door.

There was a rush to get the closing done without completing all repairs found during the inspection. As a result several are still not repaired 1 month later including a non-working kitchen sink drain which was plugged with construction debris. Does not appear to be an priority placed on getting the repairs since the house has been closed on

Been in my home 6 weeks and I'm still waiting on ceiling fans, bathroom mirror, and the correct refrigerator. Ceiling fans are in. I took a day off work on the scheduled day and no one showed up. Still waiting. This part is very frustrating.

We got our house eventually for a reasonable price and many things are decent. But to be a little more critical, that's what people want, right? A lot of the processes weren't working out for them whether it's financial aspect, construction, communication (with delays regarding covid material shortage and "labor shortage"), the quality of work, etc.

As a first time homebuyer, I was looking forward to the experience but was a bit disappointed with the overall experience. For the most part, the initial process was fine, however, after deciding to utilize another lender the process seemed to deteriorate. The closing date changed a few times and seemed rushed and pressured while the house was nowhere near ready. After closing and signing the closing documents, it was days before I received the keys as utilized a different lender (not KB).
