The mortgage piece was terrible. After move in , had several repairs, takes a lot of my work time. Used my electricity to build the neighbors house. The stucco walls are not flat.

Choose your upgrades carefully, they can really raise the price of your new home! Make sure to get the wiring for fans, better value at the time of building than later! The granite in the kitchen is of a lower grade, and stains very easily, also was not sealed at the time of move in! Still stains even after being sealed! This might be a good upgrade at the time of purchase! Faucets in kitchen and bathrooms are lower grade, but those can be upgraded at a later date!

The sales office was great, the design studio was great, the construction manager was great at first but then. I don't even want to get into how terrible my process was and the lack of attention to detail and lack respect as a customer paying nearly 300K for a house and someone blowing off my concerns and acting so nonchalant about things towards the end. Not a great experience. So many issues with the construction. The subcontractors were terrible. This house has been one gigantic punch list. I have had to hire my own people to fix issues because I do not trust the subcontractors who would have to come back and fix their poor workmanship in the first place.

Everyone I worked with one-on-one at KB Home was kind and helpful. This would include my sales agent, interior design specialist, loan processor and construction manager. But these kind people where not the ones assigned to do the actual physical building of my home. On a good note, My home seemed to have a solid foundation, sturdy frame construction, plumbing and electric that were up to par.. But after that the cosmetic work on my home left a lot to be desired. As a general builder, my KB Homes experience was good. Great salesmen. Very personable and knowledgeable. The experience was not the same after the closing. The lack of communication was the most frustrating part. With mw knowing how the work with contractors can be, it was exhausting trying to get things resolved because of the lack of follow-through. The only saving grace was the salesman (Jim) having to get involved to try and assist in coordinating things to be resolved. If it wasn't for him, I would give KB a zero!!!!!!!!!

The quality of the finishings in the house is quite poor! The interior walls are of very poor quality, and the backsplash finishes are of very low quality!

Workmanship is not good at all. There are many poor quality works that we have found at many places of the home. Even when we asked them to be fixed the persons who came to fix did the same kind of poor quality repairs making no difference. At the time of closing we noted some issues that needed to be addressed. But due to closing timeline, we were told to go ahead get them fixed by warranty. Model homes looked great, but after moving into the actual home, I realized the quality of KB Home is not top notch. You can tell people who painted and did the construction didn’t pay attention to details. You can hear impact noise from your next door neighbor. KB Home’s frontline employees (sales, superintendent) are great, but sr. leadership must drive quality for the whole company so it can trickle down.

At first, Kb Homes was great. So much communication. It was great. However, towards the closing, I was worried. They rushed us to close by the quarter deadline saying that they’ll fix the things later. Well, I’m still waiting: floors to be relaxed because of scratches; a fridge to be replaced because it is dented in two places; 1/4 of my sprinkler heads don’t pop up; my garage door just broke; my shutters need to be punted; and I never received my Wi-Fi AC box that I was told was standard.
