We were so excited to design and build our new home. The sales and design center teams were great. Everything after that went downhill. Our superintendent ignored every single communication I sent, items were installed or built incorrectly despite me regularly notifying the superintendent, and closing got delayed the morning of our final walkthrough, when I had flown back in the night before just for this process. My experience was very bad since the closing was delayed three times without prior notice. When they delivered the house, it had many unfinished things and some poorly done. Communication was very difficult and it wasn't because of the language, as they once told me, but rather because one called and they didn't answer the phone or emails.

You will have to watch everything the construction crews does on the house - be an active home buyer and hold all the parties accountable. Do not sign the ready to close document until all is fixed they way you like it. If you actively involved all the little or big things can get fixed along the way. Don't let the construction crew bully you. It was less than stellar for my family and quite stressful.

A big issue In the house is taking over a month to fix. More issues arise as initial problem hasn’t been fixed. Dealing with our representative is just a pain and an overall bad experience. She doesn’t know how to resolve and de-escalate issues/situations. Would wish to have a more professional representatives and a better built home.

Always be proactive with every move of the building process. If we did not point out things it would not be fixed until it was too late. Gary was a great project Manger once he took over towards the end of our building. This was very stressful and just could but surrender trust with KB because of all the issues with the first PM. Things were not disclosed fully until we noticed things.

After a 16 month build process, I closed with a list of items needing completion by the construction team. While we had progress with some, we are at a standstill with other basic tasks. After involvement of local leaders through escalating the matter, it is clear that my concerns are not a priority for them.

The experience during home construction was fine until towards the end. Felt rushed during final home inspection and was promised things would be addressed at scheduled check ins after moving in but never got followed up on. Reps would be incredibly slow to respond. KB home just wants you to buy and after closing the level of customer service takes a nose dive.

Extremely disappointed when I moved into the property. There were so many deficiencies with this new construction. It is evident there was no quality oversight provided. We wore surprise how KB install products that we didn't order without our authorization such as toilets and stove. If we don't notice no buddy mentioned. At this time, we still wearing for KB to replace a cabinet that apparently was damage during installation not to mention how poor are the kitchen cabinets terminations. Plus, we close in February 28,2022 and as of today April 30, 2022, we also still wearing for toilets replacement, range replacement and gutters installation.

The workmanship is one of the major keys that makes the house not worth the price. Everything was so thrown together and now we have to deal with asking them to fix several things that appear to be KNOWN issues but overlooked just to go ahead and secure the sale.

process was inline with expectation, in regards to the time it took to build the home and close. The closing process was messy and a lot of back and fourth between KBH and title company due to errors in the paperwork, it was very stressful. I was unware of the large slope in the backyard which takes away half of the backyard, 20 ft vs 40 ft. Additionally, the tree in the backyard has not been removed as promised even though its on my property and was supposed to be removed prior to building. Cant get anyone in KBH to give me a straight answer as to when it'll get removed. Somewhat regret ...

GIF in laundry room pop whenever you do laundry. Lawn sprinklers don’t work and my lawn looks dead. Large hole on side of house that we were told would be fixed but still hasn’t. Worker came to fix garage door opener and proceeded to hit the exterior of our house with a ladder and put two holes in the stucco. We caught the worker trying to paint over the holes instead of fixing that stucco. There is no power to our doorbell. Furnace just stopped working tonight. Very frustrated and disappointed.

Our house was 2-3 months delayed due to 1 person. Our lawn is the worst lawn I have ever seen due to a bad quality sod product and install. KB Home seems to think the problem will go away on it's own and are sitting on their hands.

I dont feel like they genuinely care about their costumers. They will ignore most of your concerns during the construction. You will not be compensated for the money and time lost because of their faults. They only care how much profit they can make without using high quality workmanship.

We signed our contract in January and we closed on our house November 5th. Communication was a nightmare! I had to reach out to them to ask what the status was each week. Unfortunately, we were lied to about a lot of things including the corporate office/permit department dropping the ball on ordering our permit. After the key turn over I inspect the house and hvac drip line was not completed, water over filled up on hvac over flow tray. contractors left bottle waters and a mess in the attic(unprofessional workmanship). Still haven't heard back from Carlos who works for KB. Says he is the one we contact for all issues over the next 2 years but we rarely get communication back and when we do it's to tell us a false date and time for the contractor he hired to fix our backyard as it continues to worsen and dates keep getting pushed we have yet to have anyone come out to offer resolution or even assess the yard for what needs to be done.
