Great experience wonderful staff

This by far was the quickest home buying experience my wife and I have ever had! The home builder, loan company and all involved worked so hard to get us in by the first of the year! We love our home and LB has been great making sure everything was as we wanted!

Sales staff was amazing with helping find a lot and floor plan that fits my needs. After that we took a wrong turn somewhere. Once the slab was poured, I identified an issue missing with a missing the rewire for the floor outlet (contract stated before slab). Brought it to the builders attention, his response was it should be there if it's on the contract. Fast forward a week or 2, they had to cut the slab for wiring, bit it was in. During the build had typical issues that were address prior to closing, normal finishing issues. Moving on to closing... So we had a closing date scheduled and there was an issue with the carpet padding that prevented my final walk through, I was not notified until the day before the walk through that it would have to be rescheduled. Keep in mind these walk throughs are during my normally scheduled work day, which the builder knew I had to take the day off to attend. Move forward to the second scheduled walk through, they tried to cancel the night before yet again because the builder had a scheduling conflict, not sure why because he chose the date for the second walk through. My agent talked them into letting us do the walk through with the selling agent and have our inspector do his inspection. Inspection was good only a few minor issue they had already identified to be fixed, horribly laid sod and cosmetic issues which is not surprising since it was a new build. Addressed concerns with the builder and he was happy to "take care" of all the issues. Due to these issues they tried to push my closing date over 30 days due to a total of 4, yes 4 scratches. Glass was scratched in the shower and 3 scratches on the cabinets. We worked through it and closed in a reasonable time, but the lawn doesn't appear to have been fixed, there are large gaps in the sod which I am afraid could injure my kids ankles or pets. Figured I will end up redoing the entire yard so not a big deal. Now that we are moved in I receive a notice that I have a very minor HOA fee that is past due and will begin to be a big problem if it is not paid in 30 day. The information at closing was incorrect and that the closing agent, title company, or finance company someone from the builder provided incorrect information and all fees were not paid at closing (not a big issue, and very small amount of money but it should not be an issue at all since the people who created the closing contract either work for or are contracted by the builder's company). That is what happened to me and may or may not be an isolated iincident,I cannot speak for other residents. KB was always willing to go out of their way to accommodate us. They were also very transparent with us during the whole process. Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a new build.

Need to improve on design studio appointments and flexibility

This is my first experience in buying a new home - but I will say that the value of what I received for the price was beyond that of what I saw on the market. Your people are wonderful, accommodating and responsive - and helped me navigate thru the experience. My only “issue” was that there were some misses that I thought should have been caught - but once identified the situations were rectified quickly. I cannot speak highly enough of the customer service, and genuine kindness shown to myself and my mother by Ikaika, Jose and Jeff. Builder response to issues really slowed down immediately after closing, but would buy again.

Successful construction of a new home requires a partnership between the purchaser and the builder. KB Home starts with a balanced, well-priced product offering, and they follow up with reasonable and prompt response to the unpredictable problems that inevitably occur in semi-custom home construction. I was thoroughly satisfied with the result.

From David our salesman to Amy at the design center back to Joe our supervisor for the build, we could not be happier! Matt also helped out when Joe was not there. This is the 3rd house we have had built and by far the best experience!

KB homes team that worked with us were wonderful, even though we were not local during the buying process, we were constantly informed about the progress of the construction. The finance team were equally great. We would recommend them again and again!

Great experience

Sales staff was truly outstanding & could not have had a better experience with them. Financial rep was just as excellent as the sales staff and worked through the year end holidays to get the purchase done on time. Both reps (sales & loan) answered any & all questions I had, which were a lot with me being a 1st time home buyer. Construction supervision went on a detailed walkthrough of the house prior to closing & also could not have been friendly. Overall, highly recommend KB Homes. Homes are excellent and they stand behind there product. They have an excellent group of professional that will help you with all your questions and processes of you home. We are extremely happy with our purchase. If we had to do it again it would certainly be a KB Home.

I had the plumbers miss the hot water pipe to my washer machine and after a week of moving in, my daughters closet flooded. I was miserable and I started hating my house so much. Everything was fixed a week and a half later. It was a very stressful experience. I’m slowly starting to love my house again since that has been repaired.

We have been searching for the perfect home to downsize, and have been looking for the right property for well over a year that had a number of amenities we wanted. View, private yard, single story, location, etc...On our way to sign a purchase agreement with another builder, we happened to take the road less travelled and saw a new development and stopped by. The first model we entered had both of us smiling. It was exactly what we had been looking for. Single story, large inviting great room, accordion door option, outdoor living option, and the perfect floor plan for us. Checking with Jeff in the sales office, there were a couple of available lots with privacy and views. Needless to say we found the ideal lot. That was just the beginning of our journey with KB Homes. While we had heard some negative things about the company a number of years ago (under different leadership), we took a chance. Needless to say we have had one of the best home buying experiences ever. Every step of the way we met with amazing representatives. From the initial sales team, the interior design team, the construction super, and the post move-in team have been nothing short of exemplary. The home was built with care and with all the tech-modern enhancements. I have even walked the entire house with a lit candle to see if any leaks/drafts around windows, doors, etc. and it's bullet proof. The monthly savings of an energy efficient home was important to us, and by our calculations we will save well over 15k a year (yes, seriously!) over our last home. Upon move-in we found a couple minor paint issues that were resolved in a few days (they gave us the can of paint if we ever need it in the future)...All in all we are completely satisfied with our decision and look forward to many years living here. ...
