Do not do your closing until the house is exactly ready and to your satisfaction they promise to do the outstanding work necessary and never have time once they get your money you are in your own.

I get an astronomical amount of automated junk mail and calls from KB home. Representatives begging for survey scores rather than offering solutions. I get contacted more about surveys than I do from the post sale representative that is suppose to take care of my punch list.

I bought the home while still living in California which was a challenge but luckily I had friends in San Antonio that filled in for me on some important dates the first was the walkthrough on my new home my friends drove an hour to meet with the employees from KB homes they pointed out a few things and we're assured that they would be corrected. I've had a great experience with the salesperson - Joel and the loan originator - Michelle. They were easy to talk to and work with. However, I only got to know the construction superintendent a couple of days before my closing while I should have been in contact with him throughout the building process. After closing, I came to my house and noticed numerous issues such as dirty windows and bath tabs, and paint on the floor. I reported that but no one cared. Sales staff was very nice and listen to our issue and addressed what they could. Loan department seemed to put minimal effort into giving us loan options or providing information about the different loan options, get a realtor you trust to help you. Construction was on schedule but did not repair all the issue identified during home inspection walk and was difficult to work with to address those issue.

I recently moved to vegas and was able to see the build on a regular basis. I identified way too many issues during the build that would have been detrimental if waited until after the final walk through. For starters, I paid to have the entire house insulated, all interior walls also. We had a wind storm one weekend after the insulation was in place causing it to blow out and all over the house as well as outside. This was a struggle from beginning to the end! Terrible workmanship and finishing on the home. The caulking and paint job was so horrible, I’m having to call warranty office every week. I’ve already found a water leak in my kitchen within a month of moving in. My walls were cracking even before I moved in. Waited 37 years to buy my first house with my wife. With the quality of the house, wish I could have went with another builder, somewhere else who has high quality builds. We bought the home 2 months ago and kind of regret going with KB. Quality is definitely not a priority. The house was obviously rushed by workers who just want to get the job done as fast as possible. Not a craftsman home and it all shows.

You hire ppl that do cheap work, you use cheap material and i have been constantly on email having isues being resolved. Thr floors ate damaged and i have not been able to fully furnish my home until you correct them and i have been here over a month. We were so excited to design and build our new home. The sales and design center teams were great. Everything after that went downhill. Our superintendent ignored every single communication I sent, items were installed or built incorrectly despite me regularly notifying the superintendent, and closing got delayed the morning of our final walkthrough, when I had flown back in the night before just for this process. My experience was very bad since the closing was delayed three times without prior notice. When they delivered the house, it had many unfinished things and some poorly done. Communication was very difficult and it wasn't because of the language, as they once told me, but rather because one called and they didn't answer the phone or emails.

You will have to watch everything the construction crews does on the house - be an active home buyer and hold all the parties accountable. Do not sign the ready to close document until all is fixed they way you like it. If you actively involved all the little or big things can get fixed along the way. Don't let the construction crew bully you. It was less than stellar for my family and quite stressful.

A big issue In the house is taking over a month to fix. More issues arise as initial problem hasn’t been fixed. Dealing with our representative is just a pain and an overall bad experience. She doesn’t know how to resolve and de-escalate issues/situations. Would wish to have a more professional representatives and a better built home.

Always be proactive with every move of the building process. If we did not point out things it would not be fixed until it was too late. Gary was a great project Manger once he took over towards the end of our building. This was very stressful and just could but surrender trust with KB because of all the issues with the first PM. Things were not disclosed fully until we noticed things.

The experience during home construction was fine until towards the end. Felt rushed during final home inspection and was promised things would be addressed at scheduled check ins after moving in but never got followed up on. Reps would be incredibly slow to respond. KB home just wants you to buy and after closing the level of customer service takes a nose dive.

Extremely disappointed when I moved into the property. There were so many deficiencies with this new construction. It is evident there was no quality oversight provided.
