House is nice and construction seems good in general, but 1 month after I purchased it, the Zillow estimate for my home dropped over 10% !!! The estimate first agreed with the purchase price and the appraisal also agreed. How could it devalue 10% in 1 month unless it wasn't worth the purchase price to start with. Buyers Beware of the valuation at the start or you will feel scammed too, like I do. KB Homes installs vents for circulation from each bedroom to a adjacent common area in the house. These vents in each of 3 bedrooms are directly opposite each other, creating an open window effect. ...

Daniel came over a couple weeks ago and we scheduled a time to have some repair work done. I took off work for the appointment which was 1 week later and no one showed or bothered to call me.

We have been in our home almost 2 months and talked to the warranty twice and have emailed them and no one seems to care. I am very disappointed.

Home wasn’t even finished when we closed (rushed to make their nov. 30th deadline) paint quality is terrible it’s comes off with the slightest scrape, closed almost 2 months ago and still don’t have a screen door, asked for a fence quote 3 times and never got one. And home was filthy after closing, had to ask for it to be cleaned. After talking to neighbors it seems like we’ve all had this same experience so it’s not a 1 time fluke.

Sales and design ppl were great. However, construction manager T was not on top of ensuring house was built to standard. Many times he ensured me home was ready for my inspector, though it wasn't ( utilities off, major fixes needed, etc.) I had to put off closing many times cause of this. When I did close their were still issues needing repair. Building manager rushed me to sign ppwk so I could close, ensuring me the items would be fixed that same day. They weren't. It took almost a month for all things to get fixed, with me having to take many days off from work. Moral of the story, ...

The drywall, paint, landscapers, and tile/flooring companies are NO GOOD!! Plumbers & electrical are exceptional! AC company is ok. Brand new build my roof is already leaking due to the ridiculous open vents on roof. Do not allow them to put these open vents on your roof. Every time there is wind and rain you will see water leaking from your ceiling inside your home!! BEWARE!!

KB Homes builds the houses their way even after providing upgrade options. They replace the displayed material with cheaper material for cost savings. They do not care to fix that even upon customer's request. As you are locked in contract, you become liability.

Seems like they finished home in rush and had some issues with home. Took them forever to fix the problems and there are still some that I had to fix it my self. Never had frame walk when they were building the home. Had few concerns during building process that we aren't sure if they were fixed or not because no one got back to us.

Within mere 2 months of moving in the new built home we have already faced so many issues in the working capacity of the house. Listing a few here - patio screen door came off, no electricity in the laundry room, kitchen cabinets are coming off, master bedroom door lock is installed opposite way , 2 bulbs are plunging out of the wall, and so on. We put in work orders and only 1 work order was done and rest all are remaining. TOTALLY DISAPPOINTING. We bought 625,000 home for this,????? Need answers.

The start of the buying process was great, everyone was nice, friendly, and communicative, but once we moved into the house, people stopped communicating with us and now we have to deal with a jerk who is our rep named Brett. I requested a new rep and the response is that we can't have anyone else. That's great customer service, make us have to deal with a jerk who has no interest in actually helping us or answering emails. Many of the trades did poor quality work. Now we are 2 months in the house and still waiting for them to come correct the mess they made. Extremely disappointed in this. I'm still looking for reasons to love this house, but it's been a struggle. As of right now, I would not recommend a KB home.

The sales experience was good. During the build, some issues were brought up and were either VERY slow to address or never addressed at all. Clearly the sub-contractors rushed through their work to go on to the next job at the expense of sloppy, mediocre workmanship. Attention to detail is lacking. Communication was poor, to include nearly non-existent follow-up. Maybe this is all KB specific, or maybe it is industry wide with all the big builders. Either way, KB could do so much better by simply hiring a construction manager who was competent, organized, and communicates often and well.
