Although the overall experience of purchasing our first home with KB homes has been pretty good dealing with sales agents and the loan officers, after move in, we have come to realize the quality of work is not great. We have had issues (mainly cosmetic) , but also issues with insulation, a dented stove upon move in, and some plumbing issues. We have been told countless times that contractors were coming out on a certain date and time to fix these issues, and after moving things around to ensure we’re home, no one has come. This is my third new home purchase and without a doubt the worst experience! From communication, false information, poor quality and workmanship to extra expenses due to extensions on completion dates. We have been in the house now for a month and a half and are still waiting on fix it issues to be completed! We have been very disappointed with our KB experience. It's such a shame to purchase a brand new home and have so many issues due to no quality control. I shouldn't have to come into a new home and have to examine literally every little detail to make sure it's done right and acceptable! ...

We began the new build process in May of 2022. In order to purchase the home we had to sell the existing home as we were told they only wanted owner occupancy which was not true. It took over 14 months for the completion. They gave us the closing date but the home was not ready and it delayed us an additional 2 weeks. After move in, we found things that needed to be addressed; however nothing has been done and we are still waiting.

A month before closing we saw issues with the home that needed to be fixed, in order to delay the closing we inquired prior to the walk through. They said all issues would be addressed the same week and closing and be resolved quickly before closing. I closed on 23 June and it is now 11 August and I still have several items from my initial walkthrough that should have been fixed.

Sales rep, very helpful. Several issues with home during walk through, 6 weeks ago still have not been taken care of. Workmanship terrible, last incident, Clothes rack in walkin closet fell completely off the wall. Been 10 days and no drywaller to fix the problem. Issues with monthly house payment, failed to include escrow amount in the payment.

This is my second time buying with KB. The first time was great. This second time the quality is subpar. Just to say that siding is missing and they thought is was a great idea to paint over the 2 pieces missing and not say anything. Thanks for a neighbor noticing and letting us know.

Just in 1.5 months of moving in , I have had multiple reasons to call for fixes and presently my water heater in a brand new home does not work.

I’m appalled at the fact that in the last few weeks it’s either my water heater stops working or my thermostat shuts down or my range shuts down the breaker and I have to boil waters in kettles in a brand new home

I’m not sure if I should feel manipulated, lied to or if I just have to be even more patient. I was told there would be consistent communication, however I don’t get any calls back or returned text messages. I was told that I would be given a gift if I gave a positive review, which I did and still have not received it nor the actual things I’ve paid for. At this point I’m just wondering can I call the vendors myself to get things done because no one else is. This is extremely disappointing.

Poor superintendent. Lied numerous times about things that would be fixed only to see they never were. I felt like I was being yes’d the whole time so I would stop asking question. Cole is a huge violator of this as well

If I could choose a different builder I would. There are so many little things that need to be done which you express to the builders/sales team but nothing gets done and you get no updates. As 1 example, we had a broken cabinet (which we weren't told) they had someone come out and replace it but then left a scratch/dig on the face of the cabinet. I called & sent pictures they told me they will handle it but it's been over a month and haven't received an update. They harass you to give them great survey reviews but there work is far from great.

They were not truthful about the move in date and kept pushing back the date. The quality of the home is not worth the price I paid. There are a lot of defects in the home that needs to be repaired.

I have a long thread of email responses back and forth with the construcmanager, not superintendents, in which I continually pointed out incorrect building of my home. Several issues were sloughed off only to be issues to delay closings. Items pointed out by my private insepcthave yet to be resolved and were pointed out 3 months ago, beforethe first scheduled cloing which the builder missed. The KB lender tried to swindle me out of $17k categorized as points when I received quotes from 2 other lender for zero points and lower interest rates quoted by the KB loan officer. The ...

Buyer beware…Do not buy a KB Home. They are kings of bait and switch tactics. The property was a mess. The house was filthy as if someone already lived in our brand new home. Plumbing issues and scratched windows from day one. Dealing with KB’s customer service has been worthless and I am pretty sure everyone in my neighborhood feels the same way!

Issues still pending that were identified on the final walk. Contractors care very little for the material that is new, they drag cabinets, scratch countertops, force dry wall when curries not fit installed crack bath tub, chalking bad work, home dirty, no pressure wash of garage and sidewalk and driveway. My opinion house over priced for the workmanship. No pride in the work they do. Just waiting to see who calls to text and make right. Good Luck right?

They left splotches of concrete on the driveway ,there are weird bumps in our tile ,they never came to redo our paint , and when they redid our fence the didnt angle it straight across it goes up down back up then down which makes no sense . Brandon has been unresponsive which says alot considering he told me to close on the house and he'd still fix all the issues

I felt rushed to closing and home was not delivered to me finished as promised. items below concerned are not addressed. Tried to contact superintendent and customer service no response still waiting to hear back. 1) Flooring not sealed properly - have Ant infestation since move in around September 10th 2) Photocell lights in front of garage not working 3) multiple outlets not working in house 4) Sink countertop not completed underneath dirty and looks unfinished 5) Crack in garage foundation 6) Cabinets not sealed properly 7) Oven missing one rack 8) Paint needs refinishing

We are having numerous problems with the house. The doors quality is extremely poor. The paint kept chipping off. The hinges were not set properly. Even after the support team coming in and fixing it…it’s still the same. The guest restroom bath tub has been blocked since the day we moved in…it’s been over a month…we pointed out a flaw in the ceiling and the builder Tyler…conveniently said that’s something we need to get done. The tree on the front is replaced twice and both the times we got a dead tree. It’s unacceptable to deliver such poor quality.
