It is like jumping through hurdles to get someone to tell you what, when and how to repair something. There is so much red tape. You go through many people trying to find out if your issue is even in the pipeline. If your issue is a small fix, the repair is sloppy, causing other damage. Make sure every little thing is fixed and checked prior to closing to avoid these unnecessary headaches. I am still waiting for the new working keys to the front gate. It is a shame, as I like the property.

Not a great experience as a FTHB. Salesman just wanted to make a sale and at times was not prompt in answering my questions or concerns. The project manager was worse. Unprofessional and unwilling to work with me until it was nearing closing time. Pushed back closing more than five times and I was very patient about it but the project manager wanted to blame me. Thankfully my loan officer understood how this particular KB PM worked and helped me out so I did not have to pay for a rate lock extension. Would look elsewhere if you're a FTHB. Heidi our customer service rep has been great. She lends an attentive ear to the issues and has been able to get things corrected. Some examples were the hammer valve under the kitchen sink started leaking when we used the dishwasher, then the cabinets needed re-skinned due to water damage from leaking water, had the missing clothes bar installed in the bedroom closet...... Contractors are a little slow to respond. Construction Managers Cleaning crew, if they showed up did a very poor job cleaning. While many of the folks we’ve worked with throughout the buying process (from sales, to design, through building, to closing & post-move in) have been WONDERFUL.. our overall experience has left much to be desired. Disappointed with the quality of appliances - even though we purchased the gourmet option and upgraded appliances). Back office loan folks were rude and disrespectful. Many projects were rushed as the longer we are there the more we can see uneven title, cement not completely used underneath tile which led to cracking. Show doors/door way unevenly done. Dish washer was immediately broken day one of move in (heating element), appliances are cheap and not well made, will have to repaint as flat white paint used, list goes on. I did my closing on August (two months ago) and I’m starting to have issues with the home pertaining to roofing, walls tearing out and breaking, squeaking floors on the second floor, loose toilets. Definitely not satisfied with KB Home, they rushed at the end to closing and for this reason I will not recommend this home builder. Comparing with other home builder that I’ve seen, KB have lower construction standards by far.

the buying process was good minus issues related to the lender. After moving in, I have noticed a lot of poor building. Builders cut a lot of corners thus requiring things to be repaired after. The front door was not aligned properly thus the door will have to be reset, the shower drain in the master bathroom was installed improperly and thus the drain is off by about an inch. Inside the kitchen cabinets, their are screw protruding through about a quarter inch. Finance through the entire process was a nightmare, zero communication. I’m a first time buyer and they just uploaded more and more documents with ZERO explanation of what I was supposed to be signing. We closed on the home April 20 and I let the builder know that they had 3 weeks to fix the already existing issues until my family moved in on May 12. When we showed up to the house 3 weeks later the house was unfinished. The same issues were still not completed. The house wasn't even cleaned and ready for us to live in it. There are items that we paid for that aren't installed on the house and vice a versa.

Had worst experience with KB. The build quality is poor. The things they promised were not done before closing. Now we will have to follow up and wait on things. We felt like as if we are buying an old house. Lots of textures and paints were not properly done. Lots of damages to cabinets. If we asked them to fix before closing they were not ready to do it and we were forced to close and get them fixed after closing. Really not worth the price we paid for.

Mary, Brady, Tim and Mark were a great team working WITH WHAT THEY HAD. We started this process in November 2021 and moved in October 2022. Process was painful, expensive and stressful. Tom was good at helping me with my walk through. He also was patient in answering all of my questions regarding caring for items in my home. As for the rest of it- I wish my buying experience only on my enemy or my ex. Everything is a RUSH! Politeness is out the door when questions are asked. I did not design my house, but I love it. While we are happily moved into our new home, the process to get that was frustrating and did not represent KB Homes well We rarely were communicated with, or given proper information, even when emailing and calling almost every day at some points. We worked with a lot of people in the process of building our home. The office people we first met were great but only get you so far with questions and concerns. It was so difficult to get into our home and get things done and fixed because we felt forgotten and taken advantage of. I can’t imagine what other people in our new neighborhood are dealing with at this point. I will not be recommending KB to anyone nor will I ever plan to build with KB homes again.

We liked the design of the house, but had many issues during build and completion of the home. The completion date was more than 2 months longer than the latest "finish" date....a problem when moving from out of state, selling a home, and arranging for movers. The house was not finished at the time of the closing, and the cleanliness of the home was unacceptable. The trades' workmanship was sub-standard and sloppy. We have been living in the house for about 2 months and we still have repair people coming in to properly finish the house. It was a very poor building experience for us.

The beginning process was very good. They answered all my questions and kept me Posted along the way. However, I decided to go with KB’s finance department and it was the worse experience ever. Just one month before closing, they decided to not approve me after all and the agent who was handling my loan lied about the reasons why all of a sudden didn’t qualify. The quality of the work and materials are subpar. Poor craftsmanship and attention to detail. Generally sloppy and unsafe at points. They rush the builds using the cheapest subcontractors and it shows. Thoroughly disappointed.

My biggest issue with the home is that there is not enough space in the garage--to the point that they had to saw off part of the brackets they used to attach the garage door frame to the building, causing the frame to be slightly warped and uneven. When I spoke with the garage door installer, he said that because there wasn't enough space in the garage, he had no choice but to do it this way for there to even be a garage door. The home loan closing with KB showed complete incompetence. No one knew if we were in a flood zone and I paid twice for flood insurance and I have not received a refund still. They did not answer any calls or emails at the end and delay after delay after delay. No transparancy at all. The closing process was terrible. Thank goodness this our last home. Even if it wasnt I am not sure I would choose KB again because of the terrible customer service with the loan department .
