We did our first walk through and we found some things ( scratch tub, wire sticking out of stucco, roof tile missing nails, dead plants and some texture and painting issues). Also the superintendent showed up 30 min late. He said that he would add trim in the garage for being late. A week later was our closing date and it rain 2 days during that week. We had another walk through and the only thin was fixed was the paint and texture issues. He said the they can fix the issues while we are living their. Our sales Rep Warren was amazing. He kept us in the loop the whole process. He gets a 5 star. The lending/processor/underwriter were terrible. Lacked communication, follow up, made promises and commitments that were never kept. Do not use KBHS.

The process was exhausting. Although everyone had excellent personalities and reached out, there was a comedy (and by comedy I mean incredibly Frustrating & unprofessional) of errors that gave us anxiety, stress & ended up costing us money due to delay. Although the home is beautiful now that it's complete, I would find it difficult to provide a recommendation in the future.

Poor quality and slow to fix

KB is quick to force you into the new home before it's ready, then takes forever to resolve issues under warranty. We wait weeks for resolution, as things get pushed back or no one shows up for scheduled repair visits. Extremely dissatisfied with KB currently.

Material used is cheap, upgrade is limited and expensive. Not very good build quality either.

I bought a house in Feb/March 2025 and moved in on May 1,2025. The seller took a lot of time to reply and help during the process. Stefano was on vacations, sick or day off when I need it. He did not help me when o need it he was more interested in new customers than the one with contract signed

seems like anything that could go wrong with this builder did. biggest issue is the poor workmanship an distrust that things would get corrected in the right way. it was a struggle to get anything corrected or installed correctly

The build and workmanship is awful. Since we moved to our new house, people from different companies are in and out from our home to do repairs. I guess, i should have taken a house from Lennar!

Wouldn’t recommend using there financing, they gave me the run around completely and never were honest on where I was at with my loan. I ended up just using my financing instead and everything was done within 2 weeks.

The loan process was a joke! The loan person, Tammy, came up with a loan she wanted for me which was not the loan I requested so now I have to live with an incorrect loan until I can refinance (at my expense) so I can lower my monthly payment so I can hopefully afford the loan I was expecting! I never received a thorough walkthrough or final walk through. The construction manager failed on that end. This entire process has been a nightmare. The process started out great when Dave the manger was in control. Then the process took a down fall once he was removed. Things were being broken in the house, delays due to wrong forms being filled out wrong. My experience with the sales and construction side was great…. However, I advise anyone not to use kb lender they were horrible I don’t care what incentive their offering go with your own lender. They dropped the ball so many times never took accountability. They will go radio silent on you at the end and leave you wondering what’s going on. I had to put my foot down and threaten to call corporate. The contractors they use are subpar. Once you move into the home getting someone out to fix anything is a nightmare. I didnt have the best experience. My realtor was the only person to assist me with no issues. The construction of my house seems it was thrown together slowly. The trades dont care about other trades. Studs not on center, bowed pieces, electrical dont poorly wired wrong, I have a flood lights that were not installed when we closed and that had constant power. took the electrician about an hour to find where the wire was. No answer when there is an issue. All they really want is your money. Pushes you to sign and do walk thru as soon as possible even with issues present. Once you sign they will ignore you and not answer any phones calls for issues they were suppose to fix PRIOR to walk thru.

Lack of follow through on repairs

Purchased a home for cash two months ago. Was assured several times that need repairs would be would completed. Had walk through with Thomas and his assistant. Both are very competent and respectful individuals. The problem seems to be management has understaffed the construction/repair unit. Defective master bath mirror, stains in master tub, gray paint on white kitchen kickplate, shoddy cracked patched where wire removed from wall, gash in kitchen island. Sorely disappointed in lack of follow through and broken promises.

The house looks good on the surface, however there were more and more issues cropping up after moving in. We are sitting here months after move in with holes in walls behind appliances, mice getting in from poor drywall in garage, sinks with stoppers that don't work, nails in walls, and poor out door railing that is so rough you cant run your hand up or down it with out getting a splinter. None of these issues seem to be getting resolved any time soon either since their customer service is slow and unresponsive.

KB builder is worse than what I expected. The quality in every area is not good!! I’ve called for service to fix the paint after moving in and no one answers and no one calls back when I leave a voicemail. Getting things fixed is not their priority because they are still short handed. I’m still waiting for an appointment confirmation for another issue I saw outside. Did I mention the nails that were left on the floor in my garage, the driveway, and the street when I moved in? I’ll say it again, I will never buy another KB home nor will I recommend KB to anyone.
