The loan process was a joke! The loan person, Tammy, came up with a loan she wanted for me which was not the loan I requested so now I have to live with an incorrect loan until I can refinance (at my expense) so I can lower my monthly payment so I can hopefully afford the loan I was expecting! I never received a thorough walkthrough or final walk through. The construction manager failed on that end. This entire process has been a nightmare. The process started out great when Dave the manger was in control. Then the process took a down fall once he was removed. Things were being broken in the house, delays due to wrong forms being filled out wrong. The worst was moving in house there were things still not tixed, like the broken concrete in the front of the house side walk, broken windows, no locks on the screen patio door, and the master bedroom could not be use for 2 weeks after we moved in because it was just hanging from the ceiling. My experience with the sales and construction side was great…. However, I advise anyone not to use kb lender they were horrible I don’t care what incentive their offering go with your own lender. They dropped the ball so many times never took accountability. They will go radio silent on you at the end and leave you wondering what’s going on. I didnt have the best experience. My realtor was the only person to assist me with no issues. The construction of my house seems it was thrown together slowly. The trades dont care about other trades. Studs not on center, bowed pieces, electrical dont poorly wired wrong, I have a flood lights that were not installed when we closed and that had constant power. took the electrician about an hour to find where the wire was. No answer when there is an issue. All they really want is your money. Pushes you to sign and do walk thru as soon as possible even with issues present. Once you sign they will ignore you and not answer any phones calls for issues they were suppose to fix PRIOR to walk thru.

Lack of follow through on repairs

Purchased a home for cash two months ago. Was assured several times that need repairs would be would completed. Had walk through with Thomas and his assistant. Both are very competent and respectful individuals. The problem seems to be management has understaffed the construction/repair unit. Defective master bath mirror, stains in master tub, gray paint on white kitchen kickplate, shoddy cracked patched where wire removed from wall, gash in kitchen island. Sorely disappointed in lack of follow through and broken promises.

Issues, issues, issues.

The house looks good on the surface, however there were more and more issues cropping up after moving in. We are sitting here months after move in with holes in walls behind appliances, mice getting in from poor drywall in garage, sinks with stoppers that don't work, nails in walls, and poor out door railing that is so rough you cant run your hand up or down it with out getting a splinter. None of these issues seem to be getting resolved any time soon either since their customer service is slow and unresponsive.

KB builder is worse than what I expected. The quality in every area is not good!! I’ve called for service to fix the paint after moving in and no one answers and no one calls back when I leave a voicemail. Getting things fixed is not their priority because they are still short handed. I’m still waiting for an appointment confirmation for another issue I saw outside. Did I mention the nails that were left on the floor in my garage, the driveway, and the street when I moved in? I’ll say it again, I will never buy another KB home nor will I recommend KB to anyone.

Construction took nearly a year. After the move in, there were tons of issues- The builder did not install the correct window in our son’s room and they had to cut the window out and re-install a new one. They made a mess and it took a week for the project to be finished. The power went out for a 1/3 of our home and it wasn’t considered an “emergency”, therefore was not fixed immediately. Look before you get into buying

Like most builders, they ran months late in delivering. The value for the price paid is low. Poor finishing of the house in the final laps. We had to go after them to get things addressed. It was stressful, time-consuming, and frustrating to deal with a builder that was not customer-centric.

Very regular in terms of maintaining the timeline for the house built up V as in customer have to keep an eye on any issues on in the stage you can figure out Lot of things were broken and you should have caught by the construction manager, but it is not done so be very careful dealing with this guys

Mike the Superintendent were so great in helping me with this house. He made sure things were done correctly and in order. If it wasn’t for him I probably will be talking to an attorney. So many things wasn’t done right and many of the employees that worked for the company seem not to care about how the structure of the house inside and out were being properly built. Mike made sure it was right, thank you Mike for being an outstanding employee.

KB Home does not provide high quality homes. We have quickly noticed all the shortcuts that were taken during the building process after moving in. It's obvious many of the subcontractors they hired were rushing and did not take pride in their work. So much so that they ended up firing the first crew and ended up hiring a new one, but a lot of damage was already done with the previous crew that they claim could not be undone. Everything was going smoothly and satisfyingly until closing approached. After multiple last-minute delays to closing, we felt rushed into forking our money over, and then we were promised that any remaining issues at the home would be addressed shortly with wording like, 'right now', 'later today', or 'tomorrow'. Major construction issues

Most of my home buying experience with KB was great. Including the initial walk-through with the sales rep here at Berry Springs, the design team was very thorough and really helped my wife pick out items that she really loved. Our issues are with the quality of the build. The construction team failed on numerous occasions to respond to emails, texts, or calls. Any issues that we asked to get resolved were met with resistance or they would do a bare minimum job to try and skate by. At this point, 45 days into my home, I still have construction issues that seem to take way too long to resolve.

Our sales person Anthony was great. Brian from construction was very helpful in getting our home finished Lionel loan officer helped us through tremendously. Underwriting needs a new team with compassion towards homebuyers.
