We, and all of our neighbors were pressured into giving a good review. Our closing date was changed on a Friday at 445pm to the following Friday evening, when closing was supposed to happen Monday morning. When we told them that we already had made plans to move out of our apartment and would be homeless on Monday, they said the only way for us to close on time was if we said we were 100% satisfied with the house, even though there were tons of blue tape issues that still needed to be addressed. Had they told us about closing getting rescheduled just 2 days earlier, we wouldn’t have been compelled to lie on our closing survey. Not a good experience!! Would never refer anyone to purchase a home from KB!

Horrible experience. Where is the info regarding the media panel? Where is my mailbox? Why are my gate fobs not working? Where are the paint cans you told me I’d have? Why are your employees not responding? You guys need to learn how to provide a full packet at settlement. Instead of spreading out information in sixteen different places. Your customers legit hate you. Get on the Liberty Facebook page and see how angry your buyers are. Never giving you my business again.

everyone was pleasant to me. the quality of work for the tile and flooring was poor

This is the worse decision I've ever Meade in my life, starting from the sales person as he did not listen to me or what I said I wanted to, instead the pretty much push me to buy the house/ nightmare I am living in, then getting a call from the same person asking me why did I only gave him seven stars? He should be thankful that I gave him seven. After him, one of the construction managers telling me to give him a 10 thinking he deserved the 10 instead of letting me consider what to give him follow by my closing date, bringing my stuff that same night to put it in the garage, it seems like the cleaning crew from the last walk-through decided that my house was the perfect one to leave the dining area windows open to escape from there stealing my griddle and a personal dolly. That's the beginning of my nightmare, followed by my AC, not cooling at all, or blowing any air in the bedrooms, only in the living room, dining and kitchen area, As well as the she wrote people covering the outlets in the guest bathroom and then cover it with the mirror, causing my master bath, not having any power in the outlets, also have water leak in my master bath, kitchen lamp, and laundry area, I have a roofer hammering my roof. I don't know exactly for what reason because instead of fixing a problem now I have holes and the top of my roof by the attic all this contractor supposed to come certain times and dates making me wait for no reason, I also have the worse patio because my grass is full of patches like they never even water the yard now I've been buying expensive products just to grill my grass and see if it could grow healthy, I have promises and promises as I waited over a month for my griddle and my dolly to be deliver. This is the worst. It seems like KBH, it's more about quantity and productions and not quality. Honestly honestly I am very upset and disappointed by this builder and I have a lot to say I am ready to write a nice and ugly letter to the corporate and post it on the BBB As I am not satisfied, and I'm not happy in this house for many reasons as you can see, and I could go on and on and on. besides, I have the warranty guy telling me not to post anything on the portal when that's the way to do it. It's the only way I have proof of every single report I have made instead he asked me to call him or text him. I'm sorry, sir, but I am Customer and I didn't bought a home or a three dollar house I invested and I was expecting the best but honestly, I feel discriminated denigrated probably because of my ethnicity and my sex as I am a female, If it's for me, I will not recommend anyone to purchase a home with KBH. I have moles in my bathroom, kitchen and laundry if me of any of my family Members get sick do to mold Mind you I only have a month and a half living in this house so be ready KBH!! The house wasn't ready by the dates that I was told and the conditions that I received it were not the best.

Not very satisfied with this newly built home. This is our second home but the first newly built and the first KB home. From the final walk to move in to now, there are still things that are not completed and we moved in March 9th, today is April 25th. I was lucky to at least have the Warranty people come out and give me a date to fix remaining issues. Overall, I would not buy a KB Home if I could go back in time.

The salesman was excellent, but I'm having too many issues with the house and having difficulty getting them resolved.

Do not let a woman named Sapna P. gets anywhere near your loan.

Withholding of information regarding the homes status and buying process was blatant . Materials in the home are not sturdy and already breaking. Cant withhold weight.

There is just to many things to itemized. The house upon completion looked like it was completed with out supervision. To the point that when I was on the final walk through there was a picture of a Man's Private Part drawn on the Garage wall and it was unseen by the project manager. Then they ask you repeatedly if you can give them 10's on the Construction manager survey over and over even though they know it is not deserved but you feel compelled to or the stuff you need fixed in you newly bought home will not get fixed or it will be done with a grudge. I do not plan on getting another KB home after this experience and I am telling everyone I know that even if they can find a home that is smaller but cost more than a KB home go with the smoller home that is better quality. All you get with KB is more sqft for the price. But then you have to question what problems am I going to have to deal with after I get in the home because the home was so poorly built. ... More

Warranty group is has responded slowly or not at all to post closing issues

Waiting for completion and repair of fencing (overall- poor execution) miscellaneous broken items inside and outside the home. Lack of response and therefore attention to these matters is unacceptable

I waited on doing this review for things to get fixed but Im just constantly let down. Appointments missed, appointments where people come out with no materials, craftsmen coming and making more of a mess, I am just not happy at ALL.

I reported the sliding door is damaged and installed backwards, someone came to look at it and I never heard from anyone again. I had an access panel to space under the stairwell installed and found it was completely full of scrap sheet rock. That just screams we don’t car … why not properly discard scraps instead of leaving them hidden in my house, what else is hidden in my house? I dare not look in the attic. Overall the workmanship in my opinion lacks pride. My opinion has gone down since I moved in.

Still having major issues with the home. And small issues. Calls were never returned notes were never updated or taken a very confusing process poor customer service. They would say they were going to do something but then go back on their word multiple times.

This was not the experience I was expecting when purchasing a new home built from the ground up. Too many issues. Not enough communication. Too many issues after communication. No one seemed to be on the same page. Sales or construction supervisors. Had multiple supervisors the right hand never seem to know what the left was doing.

It was a terrible mistake to buy from KB home which could not deliver in a timely matter with below standard workman ship. Unlike what the company claims that they are number one, I learned the hard way about them with loss of over $20,000 during one year of waiting and responding to unrelated requests for loan documents which was ridiculous like writing essay for marketing properties. I am still waiting to hear from them about some outstanding issues.

Lack of presence of of the promised appliances on the day of walkthrough like No Stove range, no Microwave. Lot of small issues needed to be addressed and it took almost 45 days after forcing the buyer to close on the property. I had to make repeated requests to make repairs and customer service is NOT customer oriented team at all. KB homes threaten buyers to close on the property when it is NOT move in ready. Very disappointed that as big as KB Homes building umpteen number of homes in the area, conducting in this unprofessional manner taking the joy of owning a new from the buyers. I heard the same complaints from other home owners in the locality. Simply disappointing and frustrating and KB Homes won’t give a hoot and won’t budge in to compensate either. Will never buy another home from the builder I must mention that Scott the sales person and Construction supervisor Chris were professional and nice but my complaint is about the builder. ... More

The entire experience is one of the worst I have ever had and this is the third home that I’ve built. The completion time was twice as long as I was promised, and the quality of the work is mediocre at best. It’s almost impossible to get things resolved off your punchlist. I have been in the house for two months and things that were supposed to be resolved after my 10 day walk-through are still not resolved. It’s only recently that I started dealing with Mike one of the people in charge of this development that I have been able to get things addressed, he is great but the entire experience has been horrific. ... While at the end of the day we are happy with the home we purchased, the process to get here was a nightmare. The gross majority of the information received from the KB sales staff and superintendent was inaccurate. Everything from being able to upgrade to St. Augustine grass, to the size of our lot, to lying about when permits were submitted, to assuring us that we would have reclaimed water for irrigation, and the list goes on and on. The construction quality turned out OK, but only because I was at the home site almost every single day and pointed out the very obvious issues and code violations that were included in the initial construction. If I was not there everyday to identify these issues, they would not have been fixed. Anytime we brought up an issue the response from KB management was, "You're welcome to back out of your contract and then we'll resell the home for more than you paid." This is KB's attitude toward their customers. Our home was over 7 months behind schedule. We signed the contract in Dec 2021 and didn't close until April 2023. The delays were due to mismanagement, not supply issues. We found KB completing other homes in our neighborhood that were not under contract until MONTHS after ours. When we brought this up they stated that they mixed up the paperwork and our got pushed to the "bottom of the stack". In the last month of our build - KB brought in the superintendent's manager to take over the completion of our home and working directly with this manager resulted in us getting the home completed. ... KB subcontractors do not pay attention to details, appears they just want to finish the job. I found several problems for a new house, heater was not working, gutters were not sealed and leveled correctly when I talked to subcontractor to repair them was reluctant to do it. Roof was missing a tile and some other were not aligned properly and same situation subcontractor did not have disposition to fix the problem I had to insist the roof had problems. More over one window not finished outside is missing a piece, main door entrance not sealed properly, found problems under kitchen island, the list continues. Appears that the house did not have a good inspection by profesional inspectors during construction. Stressful, arduous experience building a new home with KB - sub par contractors - sub par Project Managers who didn’t know how to manage a job and the result is a sub par home which I will have to already update and renovate. What should have been an exciting time in my life turned out to be anything but with me having to micro-manage them and beg for the job to be done right - mistake after mistake cost valuable time - took 15 months to get into the house.

Ingrid was terrible, nothing she said or promised was correct. Communication between KB Homes upper management and the individuals listed CAN NOT be worse or those individuals are simply pacifiers to incompetence and cover-ups. Chris however appears to try but is always out of the loop. He should be up to speed on EVERYTHING!
