Be Away from this Builder. The construction Quality is very worse. Many Issues with the home. They just avoid the home owner issues after closing. The construction manager is buying the feedback from the Existing home owners, with a small perks like Free Epoxy flooring, if we give 100% positive feedback on All sections. My Home had many issues, with the Paint & Appliances and many more. Some design selections I selected are not installed, they forgot to install them. I have been in the house for two months and it still has many details. The truth is that I would not recommend it to anyone, tremendous sectioning. Put people who are trained to supervise the construction of the houses.

Definitely probably one of the worst experiences I’ve ever dealt with, not a first time home buying process that I felt I’ve received/deserved. Cheap materials, lack of communication, no follow up, rushed process, items not completed, & I have questions to this day that still aren’t being answered or addressed. I would never purchase another home from this builder.

It has been more than two months since closing, and instead of doing the things we would like to in and on our home, we spend our weekends taking care of workmanship issues. In the last two weekends, we removed and repaired drawer glides in the last cabinet installed in our master bath, and yesterday fought off an ant invasion because there are gaps 1" wide between the siding and the foundation. I was threaten to lose my rate if I did not close before my house was completed. I have lived here for over 1 month and my master shower has never been used because it still isn’t completed. My closet has no shelving, I’m missing some gutter on the roof. I still have blue tape that wasn’t fixed that was noted by a kb employee himself. The superintendent sends you nothing but lies about the progress of your home. If you plan to buy from kb anyway I suggest you check progress on your own and do not close until it is 100% completed. The sales people used high pressure tactics and misled us during the purchasing process. They did not communicate with the lender or the design center. We had to check that everything we paid for was installed. We paid for higher end cabinets and they were not even installed correctly. Just found out that the downstairs bathroom is flooding our walls around it and now growing mold. Kitchen sink had construction debris, with a wood chip clogged in the Ling causing sputtering and low pressure to the sink. Misaligned windows are still not aligned. Doorknobs installed in the wrong room and installed backwards and a bathroom missing locks. Kitchen GFI and gas stove on the same circuit tripping the outside breaker when even turning on the oven light.

I purchased a brand new home at the Mattie Pointe community in Auburndale Florida on 10/17/2022. Never in my wildest dreams would I have ever imaged the disappointment I would have on what was supposed to be my dream home in Florida. I am a second time KB homeowner. This experience has been HORRIBLE. I have encountered multiple issues that were pointed out several weeks prior to closing. The issues pointed out, poor craftsmanship, wrong appliances installed, defective carpet installation, wrong size vanity for second bathroom, drywall application and upgraded painting application were all horrendous. I purchased a new home that should have the upgrades and appropriate workmanship I paid for. This is the biggest purchase I have ever made and has resulted in the biggest disappointment.

Several delays in contract preparation, had to be redrafted due to several errors, issues in design studio where designers were unaware of all upgrade options, build time was over three months later than initially promised, moved in with a laundry list of contingencies that have STILL not yet been addressed after living here over 60 days. My 39 day inspection even came in after 45 days. Will not build with KB ever again.

I found 30+ issues with including an upgrade missing I paid for, quality issues, defects, etc. I never got the soft close cabinets I paid for and there’s no urgency to fix this. My door frames to the rooms have warps and gaps so wide you can see to the other side with the door closed. They scratched my tiles really bad trying to install a wall oven pre-closing and didn’t use anything to protect the floors when they set it down and slid it around, etc. the list goes on to over 30+ things.
