Honesty, integrity absent. Felt unrepresented, our fault should have not trusted our sales agent. Things discussed not honored due to not using KBs rude, incompetent Lender. Some $$ towards house taken away from us. Was told by sales “oh no, you can use your own lender and still get $2500 regardless, but not the $5000”. We understood, KB also took that $2500 away, feel a punishment for not using there lender. “ Oh it’s in contract you could lose it”! So was say will receive regardless of who we use? We sign the contract September after 1 year almost ready to be closed, we was ask to closed even though we know the house is not complete because the sale person and construction was very nice to us and they need to submit the quota to corporateans also promise to finish the house in 30 day so we did a Favor by trusting but boy we are so wrong I moving in 2 month my house still not complete yet we have submit multiple warranty and have a construction supervisor know they alway come up with excuses and promise but never do anything. So disapointed and upset at the same time.

Our KB home experience was terrible. From the sales team, to the finishing touches on our new home, our overall experience was one of the worst. Our sales rep showed little to no support or effort during our building process. Her knowledge of timelines and the overall process was lacking. Our Head contractor and Lender were awesome. However, since we have moved in, the individual in charge of repairs has done little to nothing, and we have had to hound him just to get fixes completed. Overall quality of workmanship is poor. Especially the paint job. The floor is covered with paint drops. Nothing was fixed after 2 walk through. Get the run around and excuses. Windows are getting discolored. List is too long. The list was emailed to KB representatives.

The not exactly approach

This experience was our first time building from the ground up but not our first time buying a home, thus we were very excited in the beginning. However, lack of communication, delays, stuff not working upon move in, things still not working months later, and noticing finishes in were haphazardly put together does not push us to want to purchase another KB home.

Alan and Don were great communicating with us from the beginning to the end, we run into a lot of issues from grading of the lot to constructions issues, in fact, we closed about 2 months now, I have not moved 10 days ago, we are still seeing issues with nails poping out, a few items pending from the last walk through before closing. our backyard keep getting flooded everytime it rains, and they are planning to regrade it again.. while I have two car garage, the drive way is so narrowed that I can only park one car ..

I have owned the home now for over a month and still have not moved in due to horrible workmanship. I will be making my second mortgage payment on a house that has carpet peeling up. Paint that is two different sheens on the same wall, damaged tile, broken baseboards. The superintendent disregards all customer concerns and just shrugs his shoulders and says”It’s just the subs…” I would never buy another KB home and can’t begin to explain the frustration and disappointment.

Moved in 2 months ago and still do not have a handle on the bathroom drawer. Three ceiling fans are not the ones ordered, and the list goes on and no one calls or comes by to see if your issues are handled. Once you sign you are really on your own.

Hime looks nice but I wouldn't recommend a family or friend to KB HOME. Materials are cheap.. only been a month had to call for maintenance at at least 10 tomes. Walls feel cheap, boiler/Hot water went out 3 times. New floors I payed for out of POCKET have stains, Carpet is not installed correctly. When we did walked threw didn't really pay attention or can notice any of this until moving in. They installed cabinets doors month later. I was promised several incentives that were not put in contract, then told it's not in contract so too bad. Also construction was supposed to finish projects that were promised, as well as coached me what to say at closing. I did what he said but he didn't hold up to his end of the agreement. Floors are unfinished and walls unfixed. Caulking was unfinished and paint also.

Completely DISAPPOINTED with the quality of the work done on my home, and the quality of the appliances provided, quality of the materials(carpet, drywall boards, dry wall cement/paints, ceiling materials) was used for the construction. I also see lot of cracks in many areas of the house. I personally feel that it is not even worth the 3/4th of what I paid for it.

Everything is varying degrees of slapdash. Once they tell you the home is done it's a monumental battle to get them to come fix the things they said they'd fix before closing.

The sales and design team were great, we designed a home we were looking forward to. We got word of our closing date and would have the new home orientation the day before and the home was not finished with many issues. We were asked to come back the next day before our closing and we were promised the house would be finished with a final clean completed. The next day we arrived to much the same home. KB Home and its subcontractors did not install the flooring and portions of the baseboard in my new home correctly, within industry standards or within manufacturers recommendations/specifications. Throughout the build process the original superintendent and regional supervisor were dismissive and patronizing. Supposed to have a 1 year warranty on issues but there is no point of contact, the buying experience was horrible and they locked me into not using a realtor. The floors are warped in several homes in this community, the irrigation and land sloping is not bad. Constant issues, I wish KB just followed through with their promises.

Poor Customer Service

Customer service has done a poor job on fixing a simple landscaping that I have had from the moment I moved into my new house. The company that KB does their landscaping with has damaged some of my property and has failed continuously to resolve a simple issue. I am going on two months in living in my new house and have yet to fully enjoy my yard. My experience in purchasing my first house has been stressful and disappointing.

You have to beg the warranty department to respond to you

I still have issues in my home that have gone unresolved. Warranty refuses to answer my calls after complaining about a shower that continues to spew water out of my walk in shower because of poor quality craftsmanship. They said they fixed it but only said that just so they can buy more time and let the Warranty run out so they don't have to deal with my home. Beware when buying from this builder you might also find unwanted things in your basement bedroom should you decide to finish you basement with KB homes.
