Great product and people to deal with.

Good overall experience

Ask a lot of questions about your new home,don’t be shy they’ll answer all your questions!!!

Before signing on the closing day there were several issues that were done at last minute like the grading on the left hand side in between houses. By now KB home had worked on this matter several times and stilll not resolve. Also, the were a crack on the ceiling by the dining room area that three different people have tried to fix. The biggest issue is the Grading in between the house. I keep being told that has to do with the city. I know it doesn’t has to do anything with the city. The last crew that was here broke the cable for spectrum and taped it together and didn’t say anything about it. I really like to have the grading done right. ... More

The construction and buying process was fine. Mike and Janette were responsive and kept me updated regularly. When concerns or issues came up, both Mike and Janette were quick to resolve them, they are true professionals. The closing process was a joke. Amanda at the closing office made this part of the process more difficult than it needed to be. Lack of communication, unprofessional communication, lack of follow through and lack of partnering with the mortgage company were just a few of the issues. The crew that builds your home to include the supervisors on the job are fabulous to work with. The after build help is not responsive and frustrating.

The staff was amazing, knowledgeable, and answered every question we had. The weekly calls were so nice to have every step of the way from building to closing. We’d definitely build with KB again in the future but hoping to not move again.

The garage is way to small and not smartly designed to maximize space

I LOVE my KB Home! This is the third home I've owned, but my first new construction. I was always a little wary of what that process would be like, afraid that home builders may not be worried about looking out for my needs. Working with KB Homes couldn't have been further from the that very wrong assumption. The entire process was so easy and the sales team consistently communicated with me, making my move into the home seamless. Once I moved in, the house has been amazing and the KB team has been incredibly responsive and helpful with any questions I've had.

The contract signing is too complicated.

The final product is decent but to get there you have to spend a lot of time walking the house and working with the superintendent to get things corrected. It takes multiple times requesting corrections before they happen. We walked the houses around us that were not being checked up on and the quality was pretty poor. As long as you can stay on top of the build, the final product is a good value for the money.

From start to finish all staff at KB were very friendly, knowledgeable, and will always answer any questions and concerns that homebuyers would naturally have. The quality of the home build got the highest praises from my agent and 3rd party inspectors I had come to the property. After moving in any damages, issues, will be addresses by KB promptly and professionally as well provided that the issues were not directly caused by occupants intentionally. Highly recommend people looking to consider KB homes!

Amazing

Reason I give 3 stars in materials and workmanship is I notice things on moldings and kitchen cabinets little cosmetic things..but besides that Kb home seller Jason, and construction Managers,Supervisor and Team is on top of all. Kb Home Mortgage division on the other hand was horrible handling issues, process and communicating with me. It was a blessing I got mortgage loan with another company cause the experience, communication and expertise was totally different.

From our sales rep (JT) and construction superintendent (Mike) they were both excellent from beginning to end! :)

The builder was really informative on the process and kept us up to date on any delays. He also responded timely to questions we had making this an overall good experience

Miss Elaine is the best!! She made the whole experience a positive one. Even when I would get frazzled she always knew how to keep me positive and keep moving forward. It was so much fun getting to design the house and watch it build. I would recommend KB to anyone and everyone. We looked around at several other builders before choosing KB and I’m glad we did.

Best to deal with

We looked at all the new homes in the areas and cities surrounding where we wanted to move, and found KB Homes the BEST quality standard builder by far. From the loan process to moving in, they worked with us, and our needs and budget. We loved that we could go to the design center and pick out so many items and "customize" the interior of our home! The design team was wonderful to work with! We upgraded almost everything as we wanted to have our new home ready when we moved in. (Do upgrade your medicine cabinets . . . the standard ones are very cheap.) The follow-up after we moved in was amazing and much better than we've had with other new home builder companies! Everything we upgraded has been exceptional quality and workmanship! We love the upgraded sensor light switches, outdoor lights and bathroom fans. And the tankless water heater saves so much time and water! (But increasing the water temp. can be interesting.) The only things we have had a few problems with have been a couple of the standard items we didn't upgrade. Our main problem was the thermostat. We couldn't get it to work no matter what we did! KB Homes graciously agreed to replace the one that comes standard with the home for one we like and reimburse us for the cost! You can't get better than that! Overall, we would definitely recommend KB Homes if you're going to move in to a newly built home. ... More
