No Transparency & do not care about buyers

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! If you’re looking to get a KB home make sure to come in with your own financing company. The finance department is horrible aside from Lionel in finance who heard our cries and disappointment through the process. Building too soooo king it was months where houses that weren’t sold before ours had already been worked on. We are two months in and still need repairs fixed. If you can elsewhere do so it’s not worth it

Sales started out great, as time went along construction progressively got worse, sales had no answers builder had no answers, walls built where walls shouldn't be, vents were wrong etc. etc., 13months to close and still haven't had issues or promises kept but KB got paid and now here i am still cant open a window due to know screens, counter tops look like cigarette burns, we have back splash scheduled but we will see what happens with that...will not recommend to any one to buy here, my family bought 3 homes here and wish we hadn't.

Through the entire process there was little to no communication unless it was Us reaching out to the Builders of this company. Only time any communication was reciprocated to us is when they needed something, KB really made the experience worse instead of insuring the customer had a wonderful stress free time. We were Hounded and pushed to close when the house was not even complete! Once we conducted our walk through the quality of work was incredibly poor. Foundation was NOT level therefore the flooring was wavy and hollow in certain areas, paint on almost every outlet, un even wall heights and the pillars out front were noticeably crooked. The contractors left debris in our drains causing an overflow in the bathroom that flooded the pantry and the kitchen. Were holes in the walls, door knobs in half the rooms were lose and would fall off. With all of that the communication was still very poor, we reached out and every time we’d make a call no one would answer. We would have to call literally 10 times just to get a text back to call another number. The concrete in the garage was poorly finished with a bunch of Honeycomb and cracked edges. I bought my first home with KB. The process has a lot of loopholes and I would recommend it’s best for folks who put their due diligence throughout the process. Some aspects of the sales process is very scammy and I have discussed the same with my neighbours and they agree. I was promised so many things before the purchase of the home and after the purchase, poor quality products were installed and the customer service representative gave an excuse that they’re not in the business of top quality home building. It’s almost like they were nice and good to the homes buyers until the home purchase is done. And once the process is over, you’re on your own and told the things installed are what they could do in the budget. The houses are definitely priced high and the quality of countertop, doors, garage sensors, elevation in porch is very bad. And these are just a few things to name. The salesman Rey S. made promises that he could not keep. He was at the Title company the day of closing he saw us and never spoke to us. Shows he really cared about us. $$$$$ (NOT)construction date was pushed back Repeatedly( six months)closing was a nightmare (it took 7 hours). I have been in my home 78 days and still have not got a thank you card or anything from sale’s or Kb thanking us for purchasing a home. There are to many people involved in the transactions. If I had not put time, money and effort into this house, I would have walked away. Advice to consumers, do your homework. As all home builders and sales people they are out for the money, they will say what you want to hear to close the deal. ... More

House was not completed properly on due date. Many issues existed that were located after we moved in. Items ordered and installed were not the same as we had selected in the showroom. Everything that needed to get corrected is an order that gets placed and then your at the mercy of the contractor to show up weeks later. There is no quality control. No one is monitoring the actual work of the corrections. Sometimes out of the blue a contractor would show up unexpectedly. The warranty department takes days to answer. In essence, they took our money, an now we are forced to wait for all repairs to get done whenever they get done with no priority for us since it is not an emergency. I was very disappointed with the build quality and with Brian the superintendent who was unprofessional and intentionally delayed and messed up the build, I am very surprised that the Sales team (Tim) who knew of the price reduction forced me to sign the contract for the unfinished, very poor quality deliverable 2 days before the price reduction.

To many issues w house that you wouldn’t think you’d have. After all it is a new home. Paint job is terrible! We got an “upgraded door,” all they did was pain it black!!!

Experience with the home readiness was very bad. Lot of issues has been raised during the entire process but it was not addressed. Loan closure was the worst experience compared to everything. I was expecting a call from customer manager at least with an apology for what has happened but it never happened.

Very poor work and show room experience sucked. Been lied too twice, rude manager

I would HIGHLY recommend using your own lender along and make sure you are on top of them because they dropped the ball A ALOT.

Totally un responsive. inept, csr has no clue what he is doing. Doesn't listen. makes excuses for everything.

Dissatisfaction

Beautiful location, but construction of the home is not worth the price we paid. The craftsman is of poor quality. It is has been a huge headache dealing with all the issues we found around the house. The customer service has been good to send out the different trades to get the issues addressed, but some of the issues remain. The house was built too quickly and the attention to detail was horrendous.

There isn’t enough room here to cover everything that didn't come remotely close to meeting expectations. My advice to prospective buyers, do your research and look for options elsewhere.

KB took shortcuts while building the home, including placement of electrical outlets and number of switches operating the lights. KB repeatedly stated they would fix a mistake, but did not. KB charged lot premiums with no reasonable explanations. KB did not explain all features of the home and property, resulting in purchasing options that were not necessary. Home features are on the low end.

This particular home was not built painted or constructed in the quality and which KB promotes.

Unfortunately we have had a very bad experience with our KB home purchase. Not only did they fall greatly short on presenting a finished "New" home but have lacked any sense of Urgency to get issues resolved. The staff are pleasant and friendly but just haven't gotten it done as of this review. I know people that have purchased Kb homes and loved them so maybe we just got a bad crew.

It has been a nightmare starting with the closing that took 5 hours at no fault of my own- to a pipe leaking in the wall a week after I closed.

I did not have a great experience with KB. I had several problems that barely got resolved. The positive I got a nice house.

Post closing don’t expect much, so make sure everything is checked twice and checked again. No matter how insignificant it may seem make sure it’s done. Addressing issues after close is done at KBs convenience. On 4 separate occasions I stayed how waiting as scheduled and agreed and no one showed up. They did show up at their convenience when I was either working or had something else scheduled, regardless if they are contractors or subs they are agents of KB and should be respectful of your time and privacy. Overall just a bad experience and regret purchasing home, which sucks.
