Our experience has been a nightmare. There is not enough room in this space to properly explain all of the problems we've incurred. Pushing sales people, uncooperative staff, mismanaged build, delays, delays, delays, inspections not passed, poor trades work, very poor and upon moving in after two months work still needs to be completed. Newest development is finding possible mold in our attic and having to WAIT for the warranty department to get back with us. In the meantime, we are living in a house that may or may not be safe to live in. I will guarantee you that no one at KB Homes lives in one of the houses they've built because they make enough money to buy something with quality and good workmanship. KB Homes has sent me 10 emails asking me to complete this survey and also numerous texts asking the same. Feels a bit like harassment. KB Homes wants us to have patience and understanding while we wait for their warranty department to get back with us. That is long gone now. KB never sent us our AC warranty. When we called to address the issue they just said it had expired even tho it was their fault for not sending it. Now we have no AC warranty. The tree in the front was dead before moving in and never replaced it. When I called they just said they cant do it. Our garage door has been defective for 3 months. Three mechanics have come and still haven’t fixed the door. The quality of the work is horrible and cheap. Pipes are made of plastic and not copper which means they won’t last long before they break or leak. The exterior stucco is already falling off and the exterior paint is already patchy. Baseboards and door frames are cheap, out of angle, and chipped. They claim the interior paint is flat alabaster but it feels like cheap primer and gets dirty by just looking at it. Smoke alarms go off for no reason sometimes even with brand new batteries. Not a single window is leveled and the have mud bumps which causes gaps thru my blinds allowing light to get thru. Stairs handrail is not the color I paid for and superintendent said it was even tho I showed him a picture of what I ordered they push you to believe that you’re wrong so you keep the product. There were defectively stained cabinets which I paid extra for, but the superintendent said he could not replace them and we had to keep them. I’m never buying from KB again and can’t wait to sell this cheap house. I feel like I’ve been robbed/scammed. Customer service is horrible and nobody has answers. Delayed closing date, so I had to close it quickly without inspecting a house thoroughly. There were a lot of flaws that a 3rd party inspector couldn’t see. Moreover, No follow-up care after closing.

My experience with KBHomes turned horrific right after giving my deposit. Our home was to be ready in about 8 months but 2 weeks after my deposit we only had 2 weeks to make decisions on upgrades which in my case turned out to be $45k which i also had to make another deposit on top of the earnest money. which turned out to be over $53k from there it became a nightmare i was at their mercy i could not cancel they had me . They don’t care about the quality of their work , they rush and it’s all about the mighty dollar. Their designs sucks my bathroom door on the first floor hits the toilet seat incredibly you would think this guys would avoid that but they just don’t give a crap. Their stupid studio they call does not have what they display we had to choose a different tile color and size, i had no choice i didn’t want a sink with cabinet on first bathroom i wanted a pedestal like i have at my home and these idiots force me to get it which cost me more money. walk thru we had to do 3 so they can get it right paint all over my tile, scuffed marks on the walls i finish with this . Sold me a lot then built guest parking on part of my property. Awaiting what they are going to do, otherwise need to take legal counsel. Didn’t even have on the lot map they were adding guest parking near my home. Who wants strangers coming and going outside their doorstep? Contractors constantly over due to faulty and incomplete construction. All promises things would be fixed. Still dealing with humidity problems, AC problems, plumbing problems, electrical problems. No one cares. Never ends. Already contacted a realtor to sell my home but KB dropped sales pricing and offering better incentives now, 2 months after close, so looking to loose a ton. Stay away. ... Would never buy from KB again. Poor quality and workmanship. Their subs drink on the job. They cant seem to get it right the first, second, or third time. Service after wards has not been any better. Had an oven door damaged at installation. It’s been 3-4 months and it’s still damaged. Floor already started buckling. They started the repair and have not come to finish.

We purchased a KB Home in Las Vegas and had a great experience. We purchased a more expensive home in Florida and it has been a total disaster from the day we got here.

This is a waste of my time. I wish I could take back the 5 star review regarding our supervisor Stacy. I have nothing positive to say here.

Worst experience, would never buy again from here. Stay away if you can.

This was the worst experience I've have with buying a home, closing pushed back 4 times after closing issues with plumbing.

The most bizarre people to buy homes from. Warranty manager Mr Matt never picks his calls or responds when you have an emergency or issues with the home to discuss. They just ignore you. Absolutely terrible!

My home buying experience with KB was terrible—the worst experience I've had. I felt mistreated so many times. They took almost two years to build my house. Communication was non-existent, and when I reached out to talk to them, they acted like I was bothering them. I was unfairly treated regarding the interest rate, closing costs, and even the location of my home. If I had the funds, I would have considered legal action against KB Home. I wouldn't wish what I went through with KB Home on my worst enemy.

This was the worst home buying experience I’ve ever had. I will not recommend KB homes to any one of my friends, family or even my worst enemy. No one should ever have to deal with a lazy, unorganized, unprofessional group of people ever especially when buying a home. Buying a home is suppose to be an enjoyable experience this however was far from it. I’ve been moved into the home for 3 months and stuff is still not finished yet. They do not keep their word even if it’s on paper as contract. Worst company to deal with

Had a major issue issue related to crawlspace and still it exists, wood work is not proper throughout the house. For 30 days they bluffed that they are going to fix a wood work issue and on the day of closing they mentioned that it cannot be done. Literally no response from KB Warranty team, need to follow-up multiple times on any issue. Very high price.

WE HAVE BAD EXPERIANCE WITH KB HOME FINANCE AND STUDIO .WE MISS A LOT THING BECUASE OF THE STUDIO AND WE WASTE OUR TIME WITH THEIR FINANCE IS NOT APPROVED WITH THEM FOR 7 MONTHS AND THEN I WENT WITH ANTHER LENDER APPROVED WITHIN 20 DAYS .THE SALES MAN IS GREAT HIS NAME IS BRANDEN AND THE SUPER ATTENDENT LORENZO ,BOTH ARE VERY HELPFULL .

Material is so bad in my house

From the start to the end was awful. I regret signing off at the walk through as I was promised areas of the home would be corrected and still have not 2 months later. I have called and text several people with no response.

This has been, and continues to be, the most frustrating encounter I've ever had with a builder. Despite having a year and a half to construct the home, the same issues were repeatedly brought to their attention. The repairs carried out by KB were subpar and haphazard, resulting in the need for multiple returns, and the situation deteriorated with each attempt. We invested significant time to fulfill our obligations and be available when required, only to find them unprepared and tasks incomplete. Despite asking multiple times for confirmation of completion before our arrival, KB consistently deceived us. As two professionals with demanding schedules, we sacrificed valuable time off based on inaccurate closing dates. Additionally, we incurred financial losses due to missed rental opportunities and payments to third-party vendors engaged for necessary inspections. We closed on the house with outstanding items that remain open! What should have been an exciting moment was stolen from us. We closed on 10/6/2023 and still waiting on repairs to be coordinated. Warranty is unresponsive, does not reply in a timely manner, does not follow through with agreements in place, work orders were completed incorrectly, people are showing up without the proper resources to complete tasks, showing up unscheduled, and work completed is mediocre often times leaving more things to fix and clean up. Staff is condescending and tries to manipulate the customers into completing the survey with scores that are not merited, offering upgrades for higher scores. Home buying with KB is the most worst experience ever. Doors coming off the hinges, air vents installed backwards, Defective drywall, wrapped door frame. Home was never Cleaned on mover day, items that needed to be fix was lefted undone. I can go one put it's pointless.

The quality is really really bad!!!!!!!!!

We were very excited when we made an offer for our first home with KB home in Tesoro Viejo, Madera, CA but our excitement got ruined when the bulider doesn’t meet the expectations. First of all, it started with the sales management. Through our whole home buying process, their sales agents were keep on changing so we had to work with 3 different sales agents in 6-7 months and there was lack of communication and transparency. The first sales agent, we started working with, didn’t clarify all the upgrades and standard things when we made offer. It was frustrating when the home was almost ready and we didn’t find the things we were expecting in the home as we even weren’t aware of that ‘those were part of upgrades’. When we brought this issue to the Sales management, they didn’t respond for almost 3 months about the issue because their sales department doesn’t want to accept their fault and tried to blame us (the customer) for all that mess they created. Even though KB home’s design studio wasn’t aware of those upgrades. When we double checked with KB home’s design studio about our concerns they were also not aware of those upgrades. But the worst customer service they provided on that time when KB home’s management respond us with negative response about those concerns after 3 months that if we want those things, we have to pay for those and it was totally irritating that how come a Builder is asking to pay for something which is not customer’s fault and didn’t mentioned to us while we made the offer. Instead of accepting their managements faults, they tried to blame us for each and every mistake they made. Because of KB home’s unresponsiveness and being irresponsible of their mangement’s mistakes we have to pay extra interest rate on our mortgage as we were not able to move forward with our closing until we get any response from them. Finally, when the time comes for closing they messed up with the upgrades for what we paid for and they stepped back and didn’t fix those by saying that “Its right according to us”. I paid alot for my upgrades but the quality of everything is compromised by KB home according to the price they charge us. Our overall experience with KB home was the worst experience we ever had with anything else. KB home was treating us like they are giving free home to us so they don’t care about the customers satisfaction. I will never ever recommend anyone to move forward with KB home if they are willing to buy their dream home. They totally ruined my first home buying process.
