Homes are very Pretty. They tell you that their homes are special and all the different things they do that others don't (supposedly). They told us the sub-flooring is laid down a special way so that you never get creaky floors, but we have only been in our house for a month and already the floors knock and creak. Also if you have children, do not let them in your backyard until you have a chance to get it fixed up looking how you want it. Their construction crews leave nails everywhere and the yard dirt is filled with them. The home warranty program is a nice touch since they know they cut some corners during building and the customer will have some complaints/issues after moving in. Overall the houses are very nice looking. I would recommend that anyone purchasing keep an eye on your home every few days as it is being built. We found numerous incorrect things done in our house along the way that we had paid extra for and had to make them aware of it so that they were corrected before walls had to be ripped out to fix them. It's your house and you know how you want it. Make them aware of issues along the way during the building process and don't let them blow you off. You are paying a lot of money for your home, make sure it is done to your standards not theirs. ... More

We bought our home because we loved the model homes and really loved the huge backyard space. We are very happy with our new home.

I wish KB homes was more flexible and agreeable to minor design changes.

We build a KB home in Forest Grove. We could not be happier with the outcome of our home. We were informed every step of the way and any concerns or issues with addressed immediately. When we moved in we had multiple electrical problems that were not found until wenhad an electrician install fans and GFI's in the garage for us. We also found problems with the plastering job when we were painting the interior of the house. We found paint/plaster on the underside of multiple doorknobs. The construction manager was quick to respond to the issues but still.

The sales staff was knowledgeable, prompt follow up, listened to my "want list" , explained the process and easy to get a hold of. KB upgrades were fairly priced, good selection. The home buying process is organized and they keep you well informed on a routine basis. Lending was able to work with me on options to finalize my purchase. Everyone from start to finish was accommodating to my busy schedule.

Underwriting ruined the whole experience because VANESSA never knew what she was doing and constantly requested duplicates or conflicting information.

Generally speaking, all the personnel are very kind and helpful. The only thing made me somewhat upset is your loan company was not very efficient, Jose is nice but the whole process is not a pleasant experience.
