Our experience has been a nightmare. There is not enough room in this space to properly explain all of the problems we've incurred. Pushing sales people, uncooperative staff, mismanaged build, delays, delays, delays, inspections not passed, poor trades work, very poor and upon moving in after two months work still needs to be completed. Newest development is finding possible mold in our attic and having to WAIT for the warranty department to get back with us. In the meantime, we are living in a house that may or may not be safe to live in. I will guarantee you that no one at KB Homes lives in one of the houses they've built because they make enough money to buy something with quality and good workmanship. KB Homes has sent me 10 emails asking me to complete this survey and also numerous texts asking the same. Feels a bit like harassment. KB Homes wants us to have patience and understanding while we wait for their warranty department to get back with us. That is long gone now. Multiple issues with the KB house after we moved in. You have to file claims to fix these issues and it takes long time for the construction problems to be fixed. All appointments are scheduled during my work hours. Do I need to quit my job or hire a house sitter to be at home for all these after purchase repairs? It was the worst decision of my life to buy a new construction/KB home

KB never sent us our AC warranty. When we called to address the issue they just said it had expired even tho it was their fault for not sending it. Now we have no AC warranty. The tree in the front was dead before moving in and never replaced it. When I called they just said they cant do it. Our garage door has been defective for 3 months. Three mechanics have come and still haven’t fixed the door. The quality of the work is horrible and cheap. Pipes are made of plastic and not copper which means they won’t last long before they break or leak. The exterior stucco is already falling off and the exterior paint is already patchy. Baseboards and door frames are cheap, out of angle, and chipped. They claim the interior paint is flat alabaster but it feels like cheap primer and gets dirty by just looking at it. Smoke alarms go off for no reason sometimes even with brand new batteries. Not a single window is leveled and the have mud bumps which causes gaps thru my blinds allowing light to get thru. Stairs handrail is not the color I paid for and superintendent said it was even tho I showed him a picture of what I ordered they push you to believe that you’re wrong so you keep the product. There were defectively stained cabinets which I paid extra for, but the superintendent said he could not replace them and we had to keep them. I’m never buying from KB again and can’t wait to sell this cheap house. I feel like I’ve been robbed/scammed. Customer service is horrible and nobody has answers. Delayed closing date, so I had to close it quickly without inspecting a house thoroughly. There were a lot of flaws that a 3rd party inspector couldn’t see. Moreover, No follow-up care after closing.

My experience with KBHomes turned horrific right after giving my deposit. Our home was to be ready in about 8 months but 2 weeks after my deposit we only had 2 weeks to make decisions on upgrades which in my case turned out to be $45k which i also had to make another deposit on top of the earnest money. which turned out to be over $53k from there it became a nightmare i was at their mercy i could not cancel they had me . They don’t care about the quality of their work , they rush and it’s all about the mighty dollar. Their designs sucks my bathroom door on the first floor hits the toilet seat incredibly you would think this guys would avoid that but they just don’t give a crap. Their stupid studio they call does not have what they display we had to choose a different tile color and size, i had no choice i didn’t want a sink with cabinet on first bathroom i wanted a pedestal like i have at my home and these idiots force me to get it which cost me more money. walk thru we had to do 3 so they can get it right paint all over my tile, scuffed marks on the walls i finish with this . It was one of the worst experiences of my life and now that I have moved in there are even more issues

Sold me a lot then built guest parking on part of my property. Awaiting what they are going to do, otherwise need to take legal counsel. Didn’t even have on the lot map they were adding guest parking near my home. Who wants strangers coming and going outside their doorstep? Contractors constantly over due to faulty and incomplete construction. All promises things would be fixed. Still dealing with humidity problems, AC problems, plumbing problems, electrical problems. No one cares. Never ends. Already contacted a realtor to sell my home but KB dropped sales pricing and offering better incentives now, 2 months after close, so looking to loose a ton. Stay away. ... Quality is very bad. What they sell is very different to what they deliver. The only important thing for them was closing the sale no matter what. Quality the worst of all the builder I have purchased from including Lennar, GL Homes., Horton.

Would never buy from KB again. Poor quality and workmanship. Their subs drink on the job. They cant seem to get it right the first, second, or third time. Service after wards has not been any better. Had an oven door damaged at installation. It’s been 3-4 months and it’s still damaged. Floor already started buckling. They started the repair and have not come to finish.

We purchased a KB Home in Las Vegas and had a great experience. We purchased a more expensive home in Florida and it has been a total disaster from the day we got here.

This is a waste of my time. I wish I could take back the 5 star review regarding our supervisor Stacy. I have nothing positive to say here.

Worst experience, would never buy again from here. Stay away if you can.

This was the worst experience I've have with buying a home, closing pushed back 4 times after closing issues with plumbing.

Agent disappeared after her name was on the contract that got her the commission. Senior leadership supported her behavior and defended it when questioned .

Terrible experience with building team and sales. Not a builder who keeps the customer in mind since everything done is always rushing the customer. Mistakes were made by builder yet customer has to pay the price. Unable to trust Tami, Nick, and Al.

The most bizarre people to buy homes from. Warranty manager Mr Matt never picks his calls or responds when you have an emergency or issues with the home to discuss. They just ignore you. Absolutely terrible!

My home buying experience with KB was terrible—the worst experience I've had. I felt mistreated so many times. They took almost two years to build my house. Communication was non-existent, and when I reached out to talk to them, they acted like I was bothering them. I was unfairly treated regarding the interest rate, closing costs, and even the location of my home. If I had the funds, I would have considered legal action against KB Home. I wouldn't wish what I went through with KB Home on my worst enemy.

Unfortunately we have had a very bad experience with our KB home purchase. Not only did they fall greatly short on presenting a finished "New" home but have lacked any sense of Urgency to get issues resolved. The staff are pleasant and friendly but just haven't gotten it done as of this review. I know people that have purchased Kb homes and loved them so maybe we just got a bad crew.

This was the worst home buying experience I’ve ever had. I will not recommend KB homes to any one of my friends, family or even my worst enemy. No one should ever have to deal with a lazy, unorganized, unprofessional group of people ever especially when buying a home. Buying a home is suppose to be an enjoyable experience this however was far from it. I’ve been moved into the home for 3 months and stuff is still not finished yet. They do not keep their word even if it’s on paper as contract. Worst company to deal with

The builder appears to have hired contractors who offer rock-bottom pricing but deliver subpar workmanship. Since moving into my new home on February 15th, I have uncovered numerous issues and defects in the construction. The most glaring example is that even something as basic as installing a wall oven was done incorrectly. At this point, I've given up trying to get the builder to address and resolve these problems, as repeated attempts have proven futile.

No one show up in the house for the 10 days walk nor the 30 days walk. I had a list of items that need to be completed the house drywall paint doors are damaged. Locks are not working properly bathroom problems and still no one showed up. I reach out to the construction manager. I left them a voicemail. I text them the information they get they send me the people that wrong. I still have problems in the house has not been fixed. I would highly recommend it. Anyone from future resident of KB Homes . Do not sign the closing until you have everything completed in the house to your satisfaction

Had a major issue issue related to crawlspace and still it exists, wood work is not proper throughout the house. For 30 days they bluffed that they are going to fix a wood work issue and on the day of closing they mentioned that it cannot be done. Literally no response from KB Warranty team, need to follow-up multiple times on any issue. Very high price.

It has been a nightmare starting with the closing that took 5 hours at no fault of my own- to a pipe leaking in the wall a week after I closed.

WE HAVE BAD EXPERIANCE WITH KB HOME FINANCE AND STUDIO .WE MISS A LOT THING BECUASE OF THE STUDIO AND WE WASTE OUR TIME WITH THEIR FINANCE IS NOT APPROVED WITH THEM FOR 7 MONTHS AND THEN I WENT WITH ANTHER LENDER APPROVED WITHIN 20 DAYS .THE SALES MAN IS GREAT HIS NAME IS BRANDEN AND THE SUPER ATTENDENT LORENZO ,BOTH ARE VERY HELPFULL .
