Be careful when buying one of these houses. The KB reps will do everything in their power to let you know that issues discovered during a house inspection is typical and not something they can fix. There warranty phone number and email is also not reliable and they say they will respond in 24 hours but that has not happened on multiple occasions. In fact, it requires multiple time to call and follow-up with them. Buyers beware.

Worst experience ever don't buy a home from kb

The process was ok. The homes are builder grade nice, but can really be outstanding if you upgrade certain things. The staff is nice. Everyone is kind and friendly….understanding and patient. A good company to work with. The made a first time home buying experience go smooth.

Absolutely not happy at all and no one really gives a care. Cheap, nasty materials and even worse workmanship. Actions speak louder than words...still waiting for action. KB Home decided to push to have home site completed 6-8 weeks early. I voiced my concerns about corners being cut immediately. My concerns were not unfounded. Now, I'm expected to take time off of work for each individual sub contractor/vendor to come and fix what should have been done correctly in the first place; this is very costly. I have already paid a fortune for this house, why should it cost me more for it to be fixed under warranty??? Step up KB, and give me a delegate/representative that can escort the sub contractors/vendors for the repairs/warranty work that's necessary while I'm at work...or, do Saturday repairs. Put your money where your mouth is and make things right. ... More

Before we sign the contracts for the new home we told the KB agent that we will be adding a second name to the tile and was told that we could add that person during the signing at the title company. When the signing day came was told by the title company that KB has to amendment our contract. So we went back to the KB agent told them what happen and was told by the agent that they can not provide amendment or change the contract. Which will create additional cost for us to hire a lawyer to deed our title . Also we were require 50k in earnest money deposit compare to our other home purchase that was 7-10k by a different builder. We have to tell KB during the walk through there are lots of crack 2x4. that needed fix. ... More

My home is well built with lots of energy saving features. It is a great floor plan with careful thought given to the amenities. The onsite realtor, Girlie, went out of her way to get me into my home in less than two weeks after viewing it. Chen, the customer service guy, has taken care of all the fixes that needed to be done, in a timely manner. Nothing was too much trouble. I have bought several new homes in the past and KB Homes have been the absolute best by far! They most certainly put the customer first.

Easy experience and the quality work.

Communication in the beginning could have been a little better, however, overall I feel I made a good decision. I love my new home.

KB Homes has been diligent to respond to the items found by my home inspector. They did not argue about any of the findings. I agree with the appraiser that this home is of average build in quality. My loan officer and project manager have always been available to address my needs. They represent KB Homes very well.

After 2 outside services calls for the fridge, onsite construction, doing everything they could, replaced it but it’s still just the standard fridge, kind of cheap with an annoying hum. One of the 3rd party service techs explained, they don’t make em like they used to!

Angela and Seth we worked directly with the most. They are amazing!! Super responsive, helpful, professional & kind.

The construction Manager spent a good amount of time wth us on the final walk through and after getting moved in tp acwuaint us with the new home and its many functions. He was of great assistance.

There were a few bumps in the road getting our deal done, but it all worked out. I only have 2 real complaints about the build. #1, the price to add a cover over a mere 10x10 square and the price to extend the patio just 5ft is way too high. The patio cover was out of our price range, so we considered extending the patio another 5ft. But due to the building restrictions, we couldn't do that and would have to extend another 10x10, even though the price sheets gives you prices by the sqft as though you could just get a few feet added. Since we would have to get another 10x10, that priced us out of our budget. #2, the grass. Our home was built/completed in July/August, while Houston was going through a drought. As you can imagine almost ALL MY SOD WAS DOA. I was there the day it was laid, and most of the grass was already dead. Even after we moved in and I asked for replacement pieces, we were still in the drought and they just brought more half-dead sod. Since our grass isn't covered by the warranty, it would be nice to ensure everyone gets fresh/green sod. I'd rather move into a house with the yard not complete, than to move into a yard completed with dead grass. Advise to buyers, stay on top of the things that the warranty will take care of. Save your handler's number on your phone! Other than those 2 things the build process was fairly smooth..my building supervisor Michael was easily available, Darrell was also a great help at answering all my questions and easing my concerns. ... Other than wait time on home delivery, everything else is good

She is awesome! She was great to deal with during the home building process and addressed the issued I had after settlement quickly.

We have moved many times over several decades and this is our 4th newly built home. Best experience of all. Great quality for the price. KB staff was great to work with through sales, loan process, design, construction, and post sale warranty. Our construction manager, Hector, was especially responsive to our requests. Minor issues pointed out during the and after the construction process were promptly addressed. I recommend that people looking for a quality home at a reasonable price consider KB.

We had a great experience with being led through the home building process step by step. The design studio had lots of options that allowed us to upgrade as much as we wanted and customize our home. Our sales rep, Sherry, helped us with our paperwork, helping us submit our big options just the right way, answered thousands of our questions, sent us weekly photos and updates, and followed through to and after with our back landscaping, keys, etc. Our construction superintendent was amazing. He went over every detail of the build with us, answered all our questions no matter how silly, found and fixed issues quickly, and went way beyond 100% in his efforts to make this a great experience for us. Beyond all, Wes was genuine and really cared about the quality of the job and our satisfaction. That was such a refreshing experience to have someone really care about their performance and not just a paycheck. The house is beautiful, comfortable, and most importantly feels like home! ... More

My purchase of my new gone was great. Katrina in sales was outstanding and made my new home dream possible. Cindy in financing and the escrow team did a great job and made the process easy thanks to Jimmy for making sure everything inside my home was in great shape. KB make everything very easy for first time buyer they always try so hard with you to make sure your loan is approved and love their maintenance team that always respond you when you call them and go to your house right away to fix your problem

Great experience from talking with Susana the sales agent at the beginning of the process to the walk through with Derek near the end and even after closing and moving in with Bill. The whole team is amazing! Responsive, kind, helpful, just spectacular!
