Buying a KB home was easy. The only problem we ran into was the Losn office.

the only bright spots in the entire affair were the builder and our third loan officer. Everything else was horrible. We received 13 different closing dates and were cancelled 3 times by letter. Our original loan officer was terminated and our second got sick, the third saved the day.

SALES REPRESENTATIVE - NAZ is responsive until we completed our sale but KBHOME credits were not given as expected and upon checking lookslike policies were changed after initiated our talk so we thought like KB HOME should have stick to their words regarding the closing credit. LOAN ORIGINATOR - DERRICK is helpful and provides us required details upon checking with him whenever needed. Construction Manager - Always responsive and provides us the updates quickly

Having asthma and allergies to pollen I had in my Sales Contract not to plant any trees or shrubs that produce pollen. Construction supervisor has continually promised o supply me with the plants he had landscaper plant in my front yard months ago. I have continually requested this info to no avail. He keeps saying he’ll request it and forward to me. I need the info to verify they don’t produce pollen, and also to care and maintain the plants. He never follows up on my numerous requests and I’m really frustrated with his non-responsiveness.

Dahlia and Joey were great to work with. However, the underwriter(s) were terrible to work with. They made me feel I had to prove I was giving honest answers to anything and everything. Took them so long to do things that I needed to pay extra to get more time to close

The new home was reviewed & things pointed out that needed fixed. Painting not completed, saw marks in siding, floors not clean & needed acid washed after moving in. Screws missing out of hinges. Furnace filter up side down. Over all not cleaned. Light dim & flickering in bathroom. So while I was gone getting more of our belongings the superintendent RJ bribed my wife with giving him 10’s across the board & he would give us a glass front door. When I did not give all 10’s he would not give her the door. He did nothing for us except to fix the things that was needed & their responsibility. The only thing RJ did was painted our porchs. The other guy (Superintendent) that was here during our guy gone had our fans place in & placed garage door openers in do to the mix up with not able to sign while we were there in Florida. Bribery is not the way to do business when you want a bouns from your company because of an Evaluation, that only had fact in it!! ... More

Had an issue with the oven. After only a few uses, the starter switch broke. Didn’t have an oven for a week.The shower leaked onto the baseboard due to poor workmanship. The refrigerator was scratched and had to be replaced. Seems as if the trades people are lacking an attention to detail. Too many major or minor repairs. It’s frustrating.

I was really excited with the completion of my home but upon moving in, I feel the house was cheaply built. You can hear water going through the pipes when the bathroom and toilet is used. Some of the phone and cable wiring wasn't completed they just left it out. I have only one phone and internet port which was in the bedroom kind of ridiculous. The design studio should do a better job explaining upgrades. I would have loved to have higher ceilings and a bigger entry way rather than the standard to make moving furniture and appliances easier. Also main office team do not want to engage you in negotiating how you would want certain aspects of the house done if you have concerns. They just delay and dodge your emails for days. I really wish I had a better experience. But I must say the building supervisors have really nice personality but they are restricted to how much help they can offer you. ... More

Builder visit my house last month he say he come back next week and he never comeback for the repairing

I had a very good experience from the builder’s to the top people in KB. They were all ready and did help me. I really believe they all wanted me to have my house. And we’re willing to go the extra mile for me. Thank you all I appreciate you.

I loved the simple and quick home buying process KB Homes has developed. I was quickly approved and in my new home within 6 months. That is from locating my lot to having a beautiful completed home all done and looking amazing.

THE ONLY ISSUE THAT I HAVE NOW IS THE SWITCH FIR THE GARBAGE SHOULD BE UNDER THE SINK FOR EASY RATHER THAN 3 FEET AWAY. IT JUST IS A VERY UNCOMFORTABLE WAY TO HANDLE THE USE OF THE GARBAGE DISPOSABLE.

Everyone - sales agents, building supervisor, customer service rep - was extremely helpful. We had lots of questions and lots of special requests and these were all answered quickly and thoroughly.

Great experience. Completed the home as I expected. Great follow up and help with some minor issues so far. Jeff and Will have kept me informed. Will has got help on some minor door and lighting issues. The front door had some gaps as well as the door to the garage. The garage door has a gap on the north edge. Will knows about it. I think a piece is ordered.

As with any escrow there were some minor issues that came up. The big problem was the closing. Everyone at KB knew from day one what my drop dead move out date was for the home I sold and I was told no problem. Then I was told on the last weekday before closing that if I provided the closing statement and full down payment by Monday that I would be able to close late Monday and pick up the keys. I provided what thy asked for before 9am on Monday and was told everything was going smoothly. A couple of hours later I was told I may not be able to get the keys until Tuesday, which I could live with. We had taken Monday off in order to be available to sign paperwork and pick up the keys. Once they confirmed that we wouldn't get the keys on Monday we went into work. Shortly after I arrived I received a call saying that things worked out and we could sign and get the keys, so I headed home so we could drive up to Corona (an almost 2 hour drive for us), then the calls started coming in about every half an hour to 45 minutes changing from we can to we can't and back to we can again. This continued until about 2pm when I finally decided we had better start driving just in case we can complete everything. When we were about 15 minutes from the escrow company I received a call from them saying that they had been copied on all of the emails from earlier in the day and that they had no clue why they were telling me it would close as they still hadn't received the paperwork and nobody was communicating with them about it. I was told that the earliest they could do it was Tuesday and that we wouldn't be able to pick up keys until Thursday (Thursday is 2 days after I was to turn possession of my home over the the new owners). We turned around and started heading home while also calling KB who told us that we were definitely closing today and to ignore what escrow was telling me. So once again we turned around and started heading for escrow. Just as we parked in their parking lot I received a call from KB saying that we can sign the paperwork, but won't receive the keys until Thursday. Had we know this we would not have driven to Corona to sign as the original plan was for KB's notary to come to our home to sign everything. It was a little before 4pm when we arrived at escrow who closes at 5pm. I then had phone calls with the KB home loan rep, her direct supervisor and a couple of other people from KB who all refused to turn keys over as promised. I had been told the reason I couldn't get them on Tues was because it was too late and that I couldn't get them on Weds because it was a holiday. I found out later that the real reason was because the sales agent had already gone home for the day and that Weds was her day off and apparently nobody else at KB knows how to turn keys over) Finally the manager of the escrow company offered to call KB corporate office and get someone who could help as I was refusing to sign and was ready to back out of the deal altogether if I wasn't getting keys as promised. Went back and forth with that person for a while who was also refusing to guarantee I could get the keys. About 4:45pm I told him that I was walking out the door unless he sent me an email stating that if I signed the paperwork that I could pick up the keys and he said that I had to sign before he would. I then told him that if I signed that I lost any leverage I had of getting the keys and he said I already had lost my leverage as it was almost 5pm. I then reminded him that this particular home had already fallen out of escrow once before we made an offer and that while I realized I would loose my earnest money that I would still have plenty of money from the sale of my current home to purhase one from one of their competitors. Great experience. We moved from 3 miles away to this community. Our sales rep and home design rep were great to work with. Our superintendent we spent the most time with was easy to communicate with and adressed all the little details pointed out for fine tuning. I would recommend friends and family for sure.

Our first NEW home and we couldn’t be happier. The people at KB have been so helpful, friendly and welcoming. We love our new home and community!

Wouldn’t recommend using there financing, they gave me the run around completely and never were honest on where I was at with my loan. I ended up just using my financing instead and everything was done within 2 weeks.

Overall satisfied with the out put of our home.
