I had major issues with KB since about half way through the home buying process. I was getting minimal updates and my initial time frame was pushed by months. Finally, at the end, my closing kept moving all around which made getting an appropriate private inspection difficult to do. KB stated it needed to be done a week before closing but when my inspector did come, so much still needed to be done and then closing got pushed. I mentioned from many months ahead that it could not be on a certain date as I would be out of the state, but still that's the time frame they had to do it to meet quarter numbers. Then as we get to that date, it needed to be pushed out once again. We get to walkthrough and while there is a vast improvement, so much still needed to get fixed. We'll, we decided to close anyways. Now, I'm finding things done so poorly that some bedroom doors can't even be closed properly, paint jobs are needed and even caulking near showers were incomplete. While I've had a great experience with the construction manager, he can only help so much while still working on getting other houses completed. Now, I'm trying to go through warranty for a water heater beeping that has been doing on for over a month and while I someone has gotten a hold of me, the person who would actually reach out (my community's representative) has not. So now we learned to live with the beep. Overall, these builders had so much potential to have a beautiful home without any issues if it wasn't so rushed and disorganized, but it's hard to be happy when I'm still dealing with so many issues. ... From the start we had a great experience with sales. We were able to select the lot, elevation and design options we wanted. The design studio was incredibly meticulous and that was our favorite part of the process. The experience took a turn later in the timeline with the building team. We had the incorrect LVP installed throughout our home which delayed our closing date. A wavy drywall in our great room. Our front door paint was botched, thankfully corrected within warranty window. However, now we face another challenge with getting inspection report items addressed. We understand this is not a custom home process however, the quality and standard should still be a priority for KB home. Highly suggest to visit home at least twice a week to ensure all selections are completed correctly. ... More

As a first-time home buyer, KB Homes made the process fairly smooth and easy to follow.

We went through 4 sales people & 3 different finance people. Promises were made that weren’t backed up or fulfilled. It was a fight to even get ahold of anyone to speak to most of the time. Our final sales person, Jessica was excellent, as was our final finance person, Meghan. Gary, our super was great too but by the time they came around we were already frustrated and fed up since it was late in the process. We are moved in now and there are a bunch of cosmetic issues that still need to be fixed, as well as functional issues like the windows not being square. The sod for the yard was laid without any proper preparation so the grass has mostly died. The back yard has a divot that just collects and pulls water. It’s nice to be moved in but I wouldn’t go through this with KB again. ... More

Working with our sales advisor Michelle and with our superintendent, Dustin during and post construction made building our house remotely a pleasure. They communicated regularly at each significant phase of construction, provided trustworthy advice, and are still here to address our needs post closing. Couldn’t have gone better. It’s unlikely we will want to move from our dream home, if we did, we would build with KB homes again!

Our New Homes Sales Counselor Genesis was always responsive, had a positive attitude, and was patient with all our questions, as well as super knowledgable. Likewise, our Project Manager Garrett took time for any questions or concerns at each stage of the building process, as well as after we moved in. Mortgage Loan Originator, Meghan, was also responsive and flexible, and although we ultimately did not utilize the loan through KB we appreciated her willingness to consult when we were experiencing issues at closing with the other lenders lack of timeliness in document preparation. Overall, while home buying is a stressful experience, the staff we worked with were all kind and went out of their way to be helpful and make the experience a positive one. I appreciate them! ... We moved into a Model home which was a sales Office earlier. Prior to moving-in (at the time of purchase), we were provided a lot of assurances but when close to the move-in date, sales representative was not agreeing to none of the items agreed upon. For Ex: the carpet was really Bad and nothing was done to address the issue. Similarly with the doors. The only saving grace was the construction manager Joaquin. He ensured all the defects highlighted on moving-in were fixed. Over all did not have a positive experience and also felt I had paid 20K more than the market value.

everyone was very helpful and from the start, and Stright through to the end and even after the sell they still check up on you. you could call at any time, and they would even call you back. And answer your questions even the dumb ones. You got more information at each step so you could understand everything.

The KB team (from the sales office, to the showroom, to the superintendent, and more) were an absolute joy to work with. Everyone listened carefully to our wants and needs to be sure we got everything we needed and a few extras we wanted, without going over our budget. We are over the moon with the final product. Hoping this will be our forever home, but would gladly work with KB again if we ever decided on a new location.

Buying a home is definitely a stressful time and everyone at KB helped us not feel that way. They spoke with us every other day assisting us move along in the process.

From the start when we meet with Jourdan to look at a couple of properties and finding the move in ready home that we eventually purchased to the when Arturo was by our side all the way to the end at closing. It was an exciting experience to get into a home that we had been searching for We were surrounded by a great team and they made sure we were enjoying the process as much as possible and with the least amount of stress that comes with such a big purchase like a new home

We had to wait on some permits but we loved the whole experience

We enjoyed our experience buying a KB home. It was the first home we bought, so we appreciated the ease and customizability of buying a new KB home.

Gary was great at help ng lead the contractors to do a better job. The end results was a better home.

Our first time buying a new construction, and very happy. KB provided weekly updates on construction, and a frame walkthrough to see what is behind the walls. It was a very unique experience. Also go to choose certain options. WIsh there were more, but we're generally happy with the choices available. No loan process since we paid cash. Everything went fairly smooth all the way to closing. Workmanship was generally very good. Customer service has been great as all issues discovered after closing were quickly resolved.

It is a great company! We had an amazing experience with KB Home. We have been working with Gary, Brian, and Kelly. Everyone who helped us was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. We love our new house!

From the moment we signed our contract to the time we got the keys in our hands, D'Ann was responsive and helpful with questions we had throughout the process. We loved that she provided weekly updates toward the end of the project. We appreciate every one of these efforts! The best part is that she did this with such a heartwarming contagious laugh and smile. Ruben was our SUP throughout our build; our interactions with him were near the end of our new build. He was patient as we walked through our NOO - New Owner Orientation. He was helpful, he understood as a homeowner what we were going through. He took the time to provide any clarities and address concerns that we had. As someone representing KB Homes, he was not shortcomings nor rushed us and put our concerns aside. We have heard horror stories about other SUPs and are so thankful we had Ruben. Jason was our saint. We had an issue with our sink caused by a third party a week after we moved in. We elevated it, and Jason took immediate action to address it. I can't express enough our gratitude and appreciation for this grand effort. This is our first experience with KB Homes. D'Ann, Ruben, and Jason have set the bar high with their exceptional customer service, which I think would be hard-pressed for another builder team to follow. The entire process from initial purchase to final move was average. one major item in our kitchen that we were never told about and was not in the model is the exhaust fan above the microwave oven that just doesn't look right and takes away the consistence I the model had above the kitchen cabinet it appears like an after thought. After moving in we had issues with the bathroom vents in one case water entered the bathroom after it rained and in the other bathroom the ceiling started to form bubbles in both cases the galvanized vents were not installed on the roof tops. The builders team were responsive to our calls depending on the issue we were calling them about. My recommendation to any potential buyer is that all the work is being performed by subcontractors and not directly KB workers thus builders commitment is not as I would imagine or have seen with KB homes in California. If you are planning on buying a home from KB I recommend frequently visit to your new home as it is being built, take picture, report and document everything to the builder that your dissatisfied with. One more recommendation I have for KB leave extra paint with every new house you sell so that the owner can perform touchups to the wall, front door and so-forth. One more request please remove the outhouse that sits across my home, it is disappointing to see every morning I leave my home to go to work. ... More

We love our new home, but we do not like our yard. KB needs to put more effort into how they sod and seed the outside. They left rocks everywhere and the sod is awful

The experience was good but not great. The sales rep Petra was really responsive and was answering questions great until the sale was finalizing. Toward the closing of the property, only information given was delays after delays with no explanation. Had to get construction supervisor involved to get information that was supposedly passed on to the rep. On closing day, sales rep was no where to be found and we had to ask another rep for a sign and take our own picture. It’s been almost 2 months since closing and not a single follow up other than automated emails. For a huge multi million builder, please do better in the sales department and have people who actually care about people. ... More

Danielle is friendly and knowledgeable real estate agent, she gave us good perspective on the property values in Los Angeles area. We are very happy we bought a new home from KB homes at Ponte Vista at a great price. We love the lay out of the house and works great for us. Design studios helped us pick out options via video conference and it worked great for us. Purchase process went pretty smooth and we did all online except signing in person wet signature with notary. Touch up some last minute repair was made timely and we are happy with overall results. We love the amenities hot jacuzzi, pool, exercise room, hiking trails nearby. We also love the blue skies, nice breeze, and fresh air. ... More
