Long process but helpful hands make it easier

My husband and I recently purchased a move in ready home in Sanctuary Ridge. Prior to closing, we were told that our requests would be completed quickly. After being in our home now for almost two months, we still have incomplete work items and we cannot reliably get in contact with our representative. When we are able to contact the construction superintendent, he frequently dismisses, does not follow through, or won't provide timeframes for work completion. Construction work & material is very unacceptable. Wall cracks within one month. Nail inside carpet is too bad for resident's safety

Westley was knowledgeable, prompt, helpful and kind. Financial part was stressful but now it’s done and glad it’s over. The house overall is great. Love the layout and neighborhood. We are about 2 months into living in the house and still haven’t had some issues addressed that we’re acknowledged in walk through. Hoping to get them taken care of soon.

I loved the communication throughout the entire process. Sales representative, superintendent, loan officer were all in contact and willing to assist.

The builders need to pay more attentions to the fine details. The use of some known brands seems attractive but not practical. double handle instead of single handle on faucets. Drain handle hide behind and set way too low for good looking but you need long and slender fingers to pull it up. missing screws etc. defects on the quartz counter top, punch thru brat nail tips at the base board almost cut my finger, toilet seat fastener cover automatic pop open due to engineering defects, hot and cold water outlet from wall to the pedestal can be seen while sitting at your toilet. we do not expect every single cement block be perfect but paying half a million dollar home, a few corner chipped cement block is not that expensive to pick a good looking one and safe the defective one for your home art works. front walkway bricks came off as you walk and step on it, near falling disaster on my mover. over all, KB has done an excellent job. Builders need to pay more attentions to detail, fine details; that is what I call workmanship or craftmanship. Top brand names may not mean top quality craftmanship. Enjoy. ... More

The home was built mostly while I was away. KB home kept me informed of every step of the construction process. Very happy with the results. Will definitely recommend the company to friends and family.

Homebuying experience was fair, could have been better in my opinion. Quality of workmanship & materials are not the greatest. I've notice a lot of paint overspray around the house and especially on my floors! I don't have time to be scrubbing paint off my new floors! I've noticed cracks and nicks on my cabinets, and nicks on my shower doors as well. The list goes on... I don't believe the house is worth for what I paid for it.

I honestly do not know where to start! From the moment I decided to make this move from the West Coast to the East Coast having purchased a home in the past of the same company, I could not resist. I have had such great moments and was very satisfied with my home I purchased from KB in the past. I can’t thank Eli my Broker, my Realtor Ingrid and the hard charging go-getter Chris and all the faculty members involved, I thank you! With every phone call that I’ve made, and every request I have put in, everybody worked as a team to put it all together for me to have a smooth transition from West to East and to knock out those little items that needed attention.. Pleasant experience and quick responsiveness to any financial issues.

My home-buying experience was long and stressful, yet so worth it in the end. The quality of my KB home is not great or the worst just ok. There are a lot of things I feel could’ve been put together and/or installed differently or much neater. The experience from the loan department could’ve gone much better as well. More education and follow ups regarding the loan process and expectations of the timeline would have been very helpful and nice. Overall, I’m satisfied with my home and KB’s service to fix any lingering issues.

We didn’t have any problems buying

It was a roller coaster ride of back and forth but in a good way!! Overall experience with the team was great. Thanks to the whole team for making the experience wonderful.

I expected some problems when building a new house but was shocked at the subpar craftsmanship and communication I experienced during this process. I still have many items on my to-do list that I brought up before closing that haven't been addressed four months later. After moving in, I was rushed to take my 30-day survey early and pressured to give a good review, even though one was not deserved, and then literally forgotten about. This whole time, I have been patient and understanding as I know they are busy and overworked, but sadly, that has only gotten me pushed around and overlooked.

The entire process from purchase to move in was very streamlined and efficient. The home construction reflects high quality and value for money. The KB homes team was focused on the process at all times and super responsive. In a market where new homes typically come at a premium and used homes typically reflect value for money, KB homes offerings are very competitive and their service, support is an outstanding addition for busy families.

This was the worst home buying experience I’ve ever had. I will not recommend KB homes to any one of my friends, family or even my worst enemy. No one should ever have to deal with a lazy, unorganized, unprofessional group of people ever especially when buying a home. Buying a home is suppose to be an enjoyable experience this however was far from it. I’ve been moved into the home for 3 months and stuff is still not finished yet. They do not keep their word even if it’s on paper as contract. Worst company to deal with
