The process took several months longer than discussed when signing the contract. KB refused to commit to a completion date until the day of closing. I do not like "estimated" and "we're hoping for" to control my life. We heard a lot of "possibly", "should happen", and "we don't know" as answers to our questions.

We really liked Bud. He was our initial contact with KB and unlike other builders we went to he was very down to earth and genuinely friendly. The Design studio needs to learn some things from him. Our experience with them was one that felt rushed and inconvenient to them after we were pushed a month because it snowed and they did not open for just that particular morning of our initial appointment. You should not get to treat someone as they have inconvenience you when you guys closed. Regardless of the reason. As for the actual construction process we felt it went as good as it could go with all the issues of COVID and shortages. However we did feel like the subcontractors got careless and lazy to finish out the house. I understand they were trying to get us finished up to meet our closing (which got pushed anyway) and maybe it is because of the year long warranty. The finish out just felt rushed and very much like the feeling "just get it done and if we have to come back during the warranty period we will". We get that and have been using it. But it felt like a lack of caring. Now that being said Kevin and Derek have rocked getting anything we need done. They both have been awesome and you should do what you can to keep them happy. communication is a huge issue. There were several times when valuable information was not passed over to us as home buyers (like the closing date being moved). I understand delays due to shortages and labor but I expected to be told about them. Also, it seems that after you close you are on your own. We had an issue with water coming back into the house after the water softener drainage pipe had become backed up. The warranty rep told me to get some towels to clean up the dirty water that had saturated my carpet. I tried to reach his manager and got no response. Would not recommend KB.

During construction there was a lot of rain Mud tracked in on lumber also, could have subs or punch people did not clean off caked on mud Its a great house. More cleaning during Build

They are very attentive and willing to help in any way to make the process go as smooth as possible.

Eventhough I had hit a few bumps along the way building the home, Elysia my sales advisor helped me through every step. We were able to fix all the issues in my home and she kept the communication going. I'm very grateful for her help and now I get to enjoy my very first home! Thank you all KB workers for helping my home get to my expectations.

Building process took longer due to COVID and shortage of materials and workers. Overall we are happy with our new home. KB employees were absolutely fantastic!

We looked at a lot of different builders and if you're looking to build a home, KB Home should be your first, last, and only stop.

Very happy with our home.

We’ve already had several work teams come out within just a month of closing and still need so much more. Plus when they did come out, they used the wrong color grout. Have had a replacement window for over a month and no one to replace it and our attic door doesn’t even shut. Would not buy from KB again.

This is our first home and it hasn’t felt like a joyful experience at all. Our yard was horrible. The sod laid was defective and dead and our yard was embarrassing. The yard is still it complete and we’re four months in. The driveway has holes and multiple marks, missing items still, paint marks, and uneven floors. The trades hired had poor workmanship and our home displays that. We’re honestly heartbroken and ready to sale. If you do build with KB in Texas please avoid the builder Gill, our first home is a disappointment. All was good from sales to the loan but the problem I had was getting the answers I needed from the construction team when the house would be ready so I could move out of where I was living but my loan officer Jason was on point to get all my questions answered even though it was not his job

Really Had a bad experience with the KB home builder. There was an issue in my AC unit and drywall cracked in the living area. While on final day closing we collected keys directly from Austin Tile and we didn’t set the temperature to 69 inside the house. In return the builder is blaming us you are responsible to your house. After closing I never been at the house, then how can I responsible. It’s their responsibility to set every thing properly and currently when submitting keys to Owner. And how can they expect the Owners has to move when there was a drywall cracked in the living room. We closed in mid September and planned to move on 1st week of October, then got to know there was a cracks in drywall. But still the builder saying we have to move and it’s our fault. I felt really irritated and had a very bad experience after closing the house. Before closing they were like making fast to close immediately and now they literally took one month to fix that issue and saying if it happens again we need to pay for all the expenses. The builder was very attentive and understood that the house represented not only a monetary but also an emotional investment. He responded to my concerns accordingly.

From signing the contract to moving in it was an overall great experience! All the team members worked together to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction! Great job KBHS!

The team at KB was great.

The building team and the Abel, the superintendent were great, ready to fix any issues. The sales representative Amie was excellent.

Delays have to be expected, due to the materials shortage, plus too many constructions at the same time. Two months behind schedule is likely to happen. Besides that, communication flows constantly from sales and project managers.

Took three months longer then we wanted but happy with the end product

Love how great my house look and how they payed attention to every detail to the house and how I want. I really like on how they always send me updated of the house it felt like I was there. I just can’t believe I finally bought my first house and the KB home help me build my dream house to which I wake up everyday just being so thankful .

KB fullfiled all of my expectations. It was a great experience. The whole team was great to work with.

For the most part the homebuying process was easy and timely however there were supply shortages that we’re not the builders fault but there are still issues with things working in the home that I haven’t gotten fixed yet. mainly because I’m waiting for the contractor to replace a fan. The warranty team is very efficient and responsive it’s just getting the contractors to step it up.
