Very good company to know

Great staff very attentive and helpful

The KB Construction team very awful, very nightmarish. They are not very communicative, not cooperative to give the KB-promised quality. I am still very disappointed because of construction. The home could have been better • The bay window was lopsided by 1 inch on the right, .5 on the left. They built and set the window crooked. • The bay window itself was replaced 4 times because KB kept placing broken windows. • 4 windows and 1 mirror had scratches • The moisture barrier was missing for almost 8 months • Construction failed inspection twice, there were 3 broken truss and 3 unsecured joints. KB Construction was not fixing it until I almost cancelled my deal. • The closing date was pushed 3 times, total construction time was 10 months (much longer than expected) • I wasn’t provided a closing date, my bank told me • The garage roof has a hole that lets car gasses in. • The fence is not spaced evenly and the wood is molded • The front door was not adjusted properly • The windows were not draining water appropriately, there was water stored in the walls • The ground elevation was not accurate, water pools in random places • Most cabinets were broken and not replaced. • There were no weekly meetings or updates, I had to go EVERYDAY to see progress • Our kitchen upgrade sink is scratched and pools water • SherwinWilliams said KB gave a lower quality wrong color paint for the exterior there’s a few more things for structure integrity, still was not to what KB promised. Troy from the Warranty Team is very attentive and good, he’s been trying to improve everything Construction has ignored. I am very thankful for Troy and the Warranty Team. Overall My experience was Good from beginning to End.

I had a great experience. Everyone was so responsive to any questions or concerns.

We still have so much work left to do, we have a whole framing work in the front, a shower door that still needs to be replaced, cabinet replacement, floorboard work upstairs, floor work downstairs, and plugs not working in multiple places. These are big projects to fix after we moved in, especially since they were supposed to get fixed before when we had an inspection done. I first praised George for helping to give us a garage for the opener and helping with the move-in date. But I can't overlook to constant issues and I have been disappointed. I have always heard things about KB Home or houses similar to KB, proving the rumors right. I am a first-time buyer and I would not want an experience like this for anyone. ... More

Each employee and person tried their absolute beet to give us a custom built home and make the process as simple and special as it could be. Very happy with the value and purchase of home

Overall not so good experience buying home at KB.

Not all options were disclosed at studio appointment. But other than that everything was great!

KB Homes is really affordable homes

So as far as quality of materials and workmanship the only reason I am giving it a 4 stars instead of five is for three reasons. I really wish you had an upgrade option for sheathing to be real osb (t-ply was used). I am a builder I know it would be very easy to cut a hole in hardie and get into an unoccupied house. The second would be the paint. Painters are one of the hardest trades to get right imo. Runs, holidays, and drips happen I get it double checking these is extremely important and correcting them as well. The third would be drywall. I am just getting use to the knockdown drywall that is so prevalent in texas offer a level 4 drywall as an upgrade option. It makes all the hard work show in your homes. Our superintendent was very professional and knowledgeable. He worked tirelessly to make sure my family and I were satisfied. Caesar did a great job accommodating me and I will definitely refer my friends and family to you guys from now on. Amie was great she absolutely made sure through the whole process we were updated and informed she is a valued assets to your company.
