I normally do not like to leave negative reviews, but I felt it was important to share my experience. First, I want to recognize the loan and approval process, which was an amazing experience. Shomari ***** was outstanding from beginning to end. He was welcoming, helpful, and always willing to guide me through the process and answer any questions I had. I truly appreciate everything he did to make the financing side of purchasing my home as smooth as possible. Now for the not-so-fun part. I completely understand that when purchasing a brand-new home that is still being built, there can be imperfections, delays, and things that need to be corrected. However, I believe there is a certain point where these issues become frustrating for the homeowner. I was originally given a closing date that was not met. When the house was finally ready, there were still several minor add-ons and items around the house that had not been completed. While these may have seemed like small things, they were still items that I had paid for and expected to be completed. I also took time off work so that I could fully focus on the closing and moving process, only to end up closing a week after the original scheduled date. After moving into the home, several additional issues came up. There are ongoing problems with both the front and back doors that appear to be allowing bugs into the house on a daily basis. Coming home from work and finding bugs throughout different rooms of a brand-new home has been extremely frustrating. Another issue that has been particularly upsetting is that, even though my home was already completed, the house next door is still under construction. I have come home to find the construction workers using an extension cord plugged into an exterior outlet on my house to get electricity for their tools while working on the neighboring home. I understand that construction crews need access to power while completing their work, but I do not believe it is appropriate to use my home’s electricity without my permission or prior notification. This is something I would expect KB Home and the construction team to be more attentive to. Overall, I still feel that choosing KB Home was a great decision, and the home has met my expectations in many ways. My intention with this review is not to discourage anyone from purchasing a KB Home, but rather to point out areas where I believe more attention to detail, communication, and quality control could make the experience much better for future homeowners. I appreciate the staff who have helped me throughout the process, and I hope these concerns can be addressed so that the final experience matches the quality and expectations that come with purchasing a brand-new home. ... I bought this home entrusting that KB homes will build me a beautiful home and also because you have been around for years. However; my overall experience has been very exhausting and disappointing. My home did not turn out as expected and has had so many issue and I haven't lived here for a month. Now I have been going through warranty to fix the things that I voiced before and during final walk through and it was not done. Still not done. Backsplash is not to the standards I thought, the caulking doesn't match and both ends of my window is cracked. My mom was told it was up to KB standards. End to end service. Made my first home purchase easy and affordable

The service and the rapid and professional respond to any issues the house has.

There are issues that do affect the quality of life with the new build. Loose bathroom fixtures, poor weather stripping for exterior doors letting insects come in at night and rust on the driveway. The privacy fence has warping and the boards are already falling off by themselves. The garage walls have poor mudding that connects sheet rock panels which look unsightly especially on a new build! Delays in the completion of the home also impacted me and add to the frustration, especially when you bring these concerns to the builder and they still haven't been addressed.

From choosing a floor plan, picking out a lot, making decisions about decor, construction, and all the way to the closing, ours was an excellent experience. KB Homes makes the process of buying a home, simple, stress-free, and enjoyable.

Everyone in the team is very nice and responds promptly.

Products used and how they end up show the quality. Grout all different colors, pain thin if you touch it will make mark, paint cracks in corners in less than 6 months, caulk messed up, front door isn't sealed at bottom, nails sticking out the sides of the cabinets scratching my stove. Tile uneven had to be redone and grout as well but after four times they cannot get it right.

KB homes process was easy and as stress-free as a home buying/building process can be. Design studio made it feel so custom and a real experience to see and feel all the materials in person. Then working with my construction manager, *****, it was such a great feeling being able to trust the people and team building your home.
