Problem with drainage still working on it. Not happy with HOA company; Slow respounce

Construction was horrible. Communication was horrible. Lender was perfect.

The overall workmanship needs improvement. We were hesitant to close on our home, but was assured that these items would be corrected once workorders were submitted. Our lawn has drainage issues on one side of the house, which we were told would be fixed, but hasn’t been. Doug, our sales rep, has always been great with checking in on us and making sure we are okay. I would give him 10 stars off we could.

KB is a good builder.Contractor will work with you.Make sure and know all that you want and install before you purchase and visit the home frequently during the build.

Okay for low budget

The experience was very positive until we started dealing with the finance department of KB Homes. We have great credit and credit scores and was going to put a down payment of half the cost of the house, yet the finance department (Mr. Aguilar) failed to be transparent with communication on items that was needed and the request for unusual request for letters for the home purchase was too much. In the end, it all worked out and we went with Navy Federal Credit Union and closed within 3 weeks after our initial visit with the credit union. Everyone I worked with one-on-one at KB Home was kind and helpful. This would include my sales agent, interior design specialist, loan processor and construction manager. But these kind people where not the ones assigned to do the actual physical building of my home. On a good note, My home seemed to have a solid foundation, sturdy frame construction, plumbing and electric that were up to par.. But after that the cosmetic work on my home left a lot to be desired. The paint/caulking, trim, carpet, tile/grout and landscaping where overall a sloppy sloppy disappointing mess that soured the joy and usual personal satisfaction associated with building and buying a retirement home. There was over spray on cabinets. There was split trim and short cut trim with half inch gaps that were filled in and smoothed over by fat fingered caulking, Caulk and paint was smeared over dirty surfaces and even onto and into the carpeting. Poorly laid carpet had fraying gaps and holes. The new carpet was soiled with mud stains to the point that all the carpeting had to be steam cleaned. I think it should have been replaced. Both painted and stained surfaces had runs the size of an 18inch ruler. Over-all I paid hard earned money, saved over my lifetime, to KB Home who built me a new house with a"janky" interior. My yard looks like a sod remnant sale. There are two or three different kinds of grasses patched together from the front to the back and from side to side. When asked what type of grass is planted in my yard, I simply say in embarrassment, "it is green grass". Like the inside of the house my lawn is also a sloppy "janky" mess. In closing, I should mention that my home loan was originated through KB Home Loans. and I was constantly finding errors and mistakes in documents that had to be corrected and reworked throughout the process. Seller’s agent Tanika had been great but I had some bad experience with a couple of others after discovering a water leak with about a week after moving in. I picked KB because of some friends who had a good experience at another city. Maybe it was the pandemic, the supplies shortages, the shortage in workers but they could really do better.

Material used for home are cheap. Blue tape was taken lightly and not fixed appropriately. Claim calls have been great! Response has been fast.

I think they need better supervision on the house works especially at the terminations that's ones are very bad

I get an astronomical amount of automated junk mail and calls from KB home. Representatives begging for survey scores rather than offering solutions. I get contacted more about surveys than I do from the post sale representative that is suppose to take care of my punch list.

Our experience with KB wasn’t the best I do hope you guys can work more in the area of communication.It’s always very hard to reach out to the administrative staff.The field staff is ok as a matter of fact Mr Christian is a wonderful man,you can always reach him anytime you want and he keeps you updated on the building progress. I believe KB is using cheap materials for the building construction the concrete the whole building is on is not of good quality we have been seen holes everywhere.

The workmanship is one of the major keys that makes the house not worth the price. Everything was so thrown together and now we have to deal with asking them to fix several things that appear to be KNOWN issues but overlooked just to go ahead and secure the sale.

Long time we waiting for this house and the price increase to much from the waiting time

Not the best experience, definitely makes me doubt reusing kb home services in the fut

Decent home. Seems like hires crews rather finish work quickly than provide quality work.

Home still has a few things that need to be fixed: Garage does not work. Patio ceiling fan does not work. Faucet water smells horrible

I wish I could have given a better rating but I have to be honest about this review. In my opinion, the construction material is not the greatest quality. We noticed a few things since moving in, such as our front door does not feel secure. A corner of the front door near the lock is cracked, and someone used something like clay to patch the crack. The front door pops open a little even when the door is locked. The lock does not turn completely to assure the lock won’t reopen. The front door feels like hard plastic instead of real wood. The door in the master bathroom does not close unless you try lifting the door. Also the kitchen outlets does not work. Most door knobs lock counter clockwise which drives me crazy because I want to turn the locks clockwise. I gave home buying experience a 3 because there was a lot of miscommunication throughout the home buying Process with the financial department. They left splotches of concrete on the driveway ,there are weird bumps in our tile ,they never came to redo our paint , and when they redid our fence the didnt angle it straight across it goes up down back up then down which makes no sense . Brandon has been unresponsive which says alot considering he told me to close on the house and he'd still fix all the issues

Disappointed in some ways but yet happy.

Was told things were fixed after move in but they were not

Still waiting for superintended to finish details that were left incomplete in my home!
