It took time to finished the house. (Signed the contract April 2022 and closed June 30, 2023). I was told that someone will come or call to follow up 30 days after I occupied the property. So far nobody showed up and got no phone call. I emailed the warranty services but got no response yet. Overall though I like KB homes, you can personalize your own design along with their own design team.

I had a very professional experience and would highly recommend purchasing a house from KB Home.

Since the start, purchasing my home from KB, was not a good experience. The day of closing turned out to be a week of closing. Now that I’ve moved into the house, doors were not hung properly, the carpet was not tacked down correctly, it lifts from most of the corners in big sections. The living/ dining rooms tiles were not installed correctly. The tiles were uneven. I’ve been sitting in a construction site for a week and it looks like it’ll be longer. I feel like I’ve made a mistake buying this house. I’m so frustrated.

With this being our 2nd purchase with KB and communicating the concerns and issues we encountered with our first purchase, we assumed this experience would be different. First, we had issues with the lot on which we put our good-faith deposit. We were told the lot reserved for us could not have the plan we selected built on it due to city regulations. We were then given the option to have a different corner lot, and the build would be faster (February) because the city permits were already complete. This meant we had to accept options we did not want but agreed to because a faster build date is what we needed. Foundation was poured without our knowledge, and regarding the weekly touch bases with our project manager, that never happened. We had to reach out to get updates on the build's status. We had an independent inspector check the house as it was being built to ensure it was done to standard (several items were noted on the report(s) and went not being addressed/fixed). Fast forward, we were set to close and confirmed the appointment the day before. We show up and were told we have not signed off on the "completed home" and that the home closing would not happen. We sat there for over an hour, waiting for someone to tell us what was happening and what would happen. We have been in our home for a little over a month and are still waiting for repairs/corrections to be completed. The lack of communication is still an issue. The responsiveness and care I was given exceeded my expectations! The project manager was always available, kind and professional. This is my first home purchase in Texas and couldn't be happier!

This a great house overall but comes with a lot of issues low quality materials and some really bad details from construction contractors !! Once I start looking around everything I find a lot of ugly things I have being fixing myself since I don’t trust them at all !!

Communication is lacking in my opinion. Lots of last minute things causing more stress. Construction did a great job and communication was good with them. They were on top of getting repairs scheduled timely. Getting the home move in ready inside and out was not completed to my satisfaction. It could have been mowed and cleaned up better.

I reported the sliding door is damaged and installed backwards, someone came to look at it and I never heard from anyone again. I had an access panel to space under the stairwell installed and found it was completely full of scrap sheet rock. That just screams we don’t car … why not properly discard scraps instead of leaving them hidden in my house, what else is hidden in my house? I dare not look in the attic. Overall the workmanship in my opinion lacks pride. My opinion has gone down since I moved in.

Less than average experience so far in this new community.

After we picked the house we wanted, nothing was good or great after that. Mortgage company was horrible. We did a walk through previously with blue tape and signed off. When we moved in, nothing was fixed we had marked. Trying to get them to fix anything was like pulling teeth and we had to do some of it ourselves. When someone spends over $400,000 on a brand new house, the buyer shouldn't have to do quality control in the contractors job. Do not recommend.

I have been in my new home for almost 2 months now and I'm very happy with my home. Darin and KB have been great addressing any after move in issues. Not one complaint as of now.

Our sales manager and building manager were the best and most reliable understanding helpful out of everyone. They seemed to actually care about us as people not just trying to make a sale or be done. They continued to check on us days and weeks after moving in, we’re responsive to questions or recommendations and friendly at every turn.

KB Homes is not the cheapest, but they have fantastic value when you factor in the energy saving features and size of the home. Canyon Crest is a great location far enough away from the city to be quiet and close enough to get things done.

I did not have a great experience with KB. I had several problems that barely got resolved. The positive I got a nice house.

The subfloor on the second floor is completely loose, whenever you walk on some spots you can feel it moving and making noise cracking. When we moved in, we have bees right above our front porch, 2 months pass they still trying to figure out how to remove them. Small details they are fast to fix, but some more complicated problems they take time. Poor job on details. Food materials

I love my house but it’s low quality work

We were able to move in due to the prompt response of Jacob to fix most of the things that were wrong. Still issues as of right now but we are living on the house.

The entire process was excellent and all issues were addressed by the constitution foreman.

I recently had the experience of building a home with KB Home, and overall, I was very happy with the process. I would say our experience was up and down as first-time home buyers. I do think the process was interesting. You need a lot of patience as it took us almost a year to build. I do think that they would have clear contact information once you move and the communication could be a little better also who you need to contact for what since you have a warrant on the house?
