Thomas was great to work with and very responsive to our needs and concerns Others should know that build time did not meet times that were promised

Builder was best part of the process, the rest of it was underwhelming at best.

Price, options, and the builder Adrian was the best part of the process, we didn't have to chase him for answers, dates, etc. and he even helped reach out on our behalf for the closing date and time since the seller and the loan officer were not responding and assisted changing those times when the original times were not approved or even discussed with us. Hope y'all keep Adrian and give him a raise for sure. The loan officer, seller, and closing were all a pain. Loan officer and seller never reached out and we had to chase them for any answers we needed for months, it got so bad I rather ...

Building Process was Painful

PROS: The home seems fine and we're happy to be moved in. Most everyone was nice that we worked with. CONS: The building process was exhausting and painful. We were originally told it would be 6mo from initial contract, which turned into 1 year and 2mo. A lot of headache and frustration could have been avoided if there was good communication and expectation management. Unfortunately, last minute communication and delays led to mistrust and frustration. We had to extend our lease twice due to continued building delays and misestimated completion dates. KB generally "made it right" in the end ...

Pleased but with issues

Craftsmanship, damaged cabinets, caulking, damaged drywall, damaged wall trim, unfinished garage was agreed on but the drywall was damaged. Planks on the brand new fence were popping off the rails. I spent time and money repairing items in the a brand new house I paid over 330 thousand for. I didnt expect this from a brand new home, maybe I expected more. We are going on 2 months in the house and I cant tell you how many work orders were put in for repairs on top of the work I put in. I also had the sprinkler system break and now I have a 2000 dollar water bill KB is trying to deal with. ...

I like my home and most of the process was good. However, when an issue arose, that KB had not disclosed to me in a timely manner, it was made clear that I was not as important as their bottom line and that "Business was Business" per Jerrod in Management. It was 3 weeks before I was due to close. I think Jerrod would have been happy if I just walked away. It left a really bad impression and undermined all of the good things and good people that work for KB. Kudos to Darin, Sarah, and Tom. They were great. Amanda in closing was slow to respond which made doing a cash deal really ...

Kudos to: Ms. Whitaker, Mr. Jackson, Mr. Willis and Sandra (Alamo Title). It was a long build to completion and I felt like I really had to push the last month or so to get a confirmed completion date. Once moved in, there were multi issues with asthetics. Paying more than $300,000 for a home ($700,000 in 30-yrs) I felt like the craftsmanship should have been closer to perfect. We had painters out several times for doors/trim, had our counter tops buffed (scratches/devits), one mirror was scrattched, cracked base boards replaced, etc......

The overall experience was bumpy… we started the process oct 2021 and didn’t close until Dec 2022. Which, in that period of time had no contact with anyone to update on the status of the home process. And, the closing date was moved multiple time. It took me driving by the house everyday from the time the slab was started until it was basically close to completion. Then I started getting updates that weren’t updates, they were pictures from old work. I dove by and walked through the house everyday getting my own updates and seeing progress. The process of getting the loan finalized and ...

Workmanship doesn’t match house price

Unfortunately we purchased this house at the end of 2021 during an intense real estate market. Meaning, we paid an excessive amount for a house that would have been 100k or even 150k less a couple of years ago. You’d hope that with the insane cost of this house that work would be done well. We have so many workmanship issues. It’s hard to blame KB for all of it because we do understand it’s hard to find good trades. But geez it’s been one headache after another. The construction manager has been very responsive so it’s nothing against him. However our older home never had these issues of ...

A lot of amenities weren't fully adjusted. Some doorknobs have become loose and needed to be screwed back in, there are a lot of minor things that still have not been completed yet, like missing paint, broken cabinets, and response time to fixing these issues has been slow.

The home buying process in the beginning was straight forward. There were some delays during the build phase and communication could have been better. We have been in the house for 3 months and we’re finding signs of port craftsmanship. Trying to get things fixed can be frustrating.

KB Home - I enjoyed my home buying experience.

I enjoyed my home buying experience. Our sales representative was very attentive. I have voiced that the workmanship needs to be better. A multiple cosmetic and other issues have surfaced after closing on home. I would recommend hiring an outside inspector. Also, if you don’t rate the construction team a 10/10 after the closing survey, they call you and belittle your survey response.

KB Home - In general, the experience with you has been relatively regular.

In general, the experience with you has been relatively regular. I think it could improve if you pay more attention to the reports that are made to the construction personnel, since they do not resolve the damage reported in a suitable time. The quality control of the people who make the house is bad since they have to do the same repair more than twice. There is no website where I can make my damage report and I only depend on the construction superintendent answering my call and scheduling my repair within two three weeks.
