The loan process was very stressful and the communication between us and loan officer was stressful. They need to work on better communication

Customer service was nice and friendly. We weren’t given the options to upgrade anything. We were given a 30 minute notice to close on the house. There are things that are still broken that were brought up in the walk through. Trimming on the house is peeling off the walls. The back and front yards are nice and big.

Just glad to be done with it. Hopefully my home doesn't fall apart and I can improve it from the initial build.

Everything is OK (overall)! I really like the location but I had many experiences with construction side where I did not like their service.

Was not happy with the craftsmanship put out by contractors. Sub par at best

I received my house on September 27, 2024 and to date they have not fixed all the defects that my house has. The last repair date is for next November 20, 2024, I hope they finally finish with all the details they left in my house

KB is great, but unfortunately not so great at correcting deficiencies. I have been waiting for several issues (i.e. siding, tile, plumbing, fence, gate, garage floor detailing, drainage) to get corrected. Some issues were (partially) corrected while others have been completely ignored. There is a need for better quality workmanship. Terrible work on the backyard fence and gate. Drainage is not a thing to KB. If you buy from KB I strongly recommend you get all issues resolved before you move in. Otherwise, issues may not get resolved. Once again, I love my home but not the quality of the work. It seems as if contractors are in a hurry to get done and move on to the next project, sacrificing the quality of the work. I think is unfair to KB as their contractors could do a better job inspecting and making sure workers are not doing what I consider to be "Extremely messy work". ... More

Do not fill out any surveys until at least 30 days after closing. I emphasize do not fill out that survey at closing. Project managers need accommodate buyers working schedules and meet after 5pm and possibly weekends just like sales. Buyers shouldn't need to loose pay to schedule fixes to poor workmanship and sub standard materials

Excellent attention from the loan officer and the VP throughout the process solving doubts and looking for the as if, unfortunately, a great area of ​​opportunity with the seller, construction and customer service, will improve.

Honestly right now it isn’t going well.. I asked for a brand new house which I got thanks to you guys and we love it!! But the issue right now is the house got done about a month ago and were having bugs issues and there’s nothing really going on to fix the issue. My wife has been waiting for a phone call back since Monday and nothing has happened. A little disappointed.

Communication with sales rep was difficult. Due to shortage and winter storm pushed back move in dates. Great Experience with everyone else, on the KB team. We love our home

Marcell, our salesman was nice in person but at times not very responsive and seemed to lack knowledge of products and building procedures. He was also rude to our agent a couple times. Once we finished that part of the process working with Joey was a far better experience. He was super responsive and went put of his way to help us and explain anything that needed to be explained. He was flexible with scheduling and didn't mknd going the extra mile.

Jeff, Daniel , Paula and Belinda turned a frustrating buy into a very good buy due to there professionalism and caring attitude towardsour needs. They completely saved the day when they took over our loan. I"ve never had anything but good things to say about these four individuals.

This was our first time purchasing a home and to say it was stressful would be an understatement. Nevertheless, the team here at KB had our back especially the builder Jeff.

Make sure you view construction carefully. A lot of issues still with house. Some areas are not even. It’s been a month and still trying to fix issues.

I was given a couple of closing dates. May be a lack of communication

Price, options, and the builder Adrian was the best part of the process, we didn't have to chase him for answers, dates, etc. and he even helped reach out on our behalf for the closing date and time since the seller and the loan officer were not responding and assisted changing those times when the original times were not approved or even discussed with us. Hope y'all keep Adrian and give him a raise for sure. The loan officer, seller, and closing were all a pain. Loan officer and seller never reached out and we had to chase them for any answers we needed for months, it got so bad I rather just contact Adrian (the builder) and have him help me with any questions I had about anything than chase the other 2. At the closing they told us it would take an hour but due to our papers being incorrect (names and address on multiple papers) we had to stay for 3+ hours. ... More

PROS: The home seems fine and we're happy to be moved in. Most everyone was nice that we worked with. CONS: The building process was exhausting and painful. We were originally told it would be 6mo from initial contract, which turned into 1 year and 2mo. A lot of headache and frustration could have been avoided if there was good communication and expectation management. Unfortunately, last minute communication and delays led to mistrust and frustration. We had to extend our lease twice due to continued building delays and misestimated completion dates. KB generally "made it right" in the end but it was not without a lot of "fighting for what's right." One might blame it on COVID or material delays, which is understandable but the communication and projected completion of each stage was very poorly executed. Towards the end, we were pressured to close before the home was fully complete and that felt like a low blow just for KB to meet numbers for the month. Easy to read between the lines and not a good look. There was also poor communication b/t KB and their preferred lender. No one was on the same page for closing dates which made it nearly impossible to make an informed decision on when to lock a rate. We also had to change our closing date 4 times due to construction delays - a very poor use of everyones time and energy. Craftsmanship, damaged cabinets, caulking, damaged drywall, damaged wall trim, unfinished garage was agreed on but the drywall was damaged. Planks on the brand new fence were popping off the rails. I spent time and money repairing items in the a brand new house I paid over 330 thousand for. I didnt expect this from a brand new home, maybe I expected more. We are going on 2 months in the house and I cant tell you how many work orders were put in for repairs on top of the work I put in. I also had the sprinkler system break and now I have a 2000 dollar water bill KB is trying to deal with. I just dont know what part of that bill I'm going to be stuck with. It's just stressful to deal, especially with such a busy personal life. There are other things, such as no mailbox setup,etc that just makes me shake my head. ... More
