The studio selection was all a money grab. I kept being told how I wasn't spending enough money, and I should spend more. We chose to add a gas line to our home. When we started looking at gas stoves for possible upgrades in studio, we were taken to the Lowes website. KB was trying to charge us roughly $200 more for the same stove that large hardware stores sale. Not only would I have to pay more than if I purchased directly from that store but KB would keep the electric stove that was built into the home price and not give me credits for it. We opted for the gas line only, and chose to keep our electric stove. The appliances KB provided were comical! We bought a home that cost well over $300,000 and received apartment grade appliances? Rather than let KB keep the stove, we donated it and purchased a new gas stove from the same hardware store that was shown to us in studio after move in. We were not told what the foundation height, of our home would be built at until construction was about to begin; had we been informed at the time we chose our lot we would have chosen a different lot to build on. We have six stairs and two landings in the garage going into the house. While our neighbors who have a similar height home have concrete stairs in their garage, we were first told building code did not allow them to build concrete stairs in our home. After consulting with an engineer as well as the code compliance department, my research showed that this was not the case. Concrete stairs could in fact have been built. When I came back with my findings, I was then told KB no longer used concrete when building stairs in garages. We almost did not close because of this. I find this to be a safety issue, especially for my daughter. We have not lived here two months and already my daughter has had several splinters and I am constantly having to remind her not to walk into the garage without shoes on. I do not feel like we should have wooden stairs in our garage for the price we paid for our home. Our driveway, sidewalk, and garage floor have also started to have cracks and chips. Our attic door does not sit flush. I find it hard to believe that this cannot be fixed when the attic door in the 19-year old home we sold had a flush door. Beside the fact that this is not ascetically pleasing, we are concerned about heat loss from the attic. We have reported this, and it has been looked at but the end result is the same. The AC that was original to the home we sold also cooled more effectively than the one in our new home. Overall my home buying experience was great. The initial steps involved were super easy. Everyone involved made it as easy as they could in order to accommodate my busy schedule. Whenever I needed something they were there to help answer my questions. When I had concerns they were there to help fix anything I was not happy with. They continue even after my home has been built to address any problems that may arise. I am very happy with my home buying experience with KB Homes.

Awesome customer service

The process of buying a new home is very daunting. I would suggest talking to other other people first to get some insight. Not all home buying experiences are the same. Make sure your finances are in order because, you will be required to offer up a lot fo information. I also, suggest reading the home buyer 101 guide you can find online. Make sure your builder stays engaged with you. I think the most important thing to do is read and ask questions. I have to admit I did feel rushed going to the studio. That is one of the things that I hated about this experience. I hate to be rushed especially when it comes to my money. It's not not just a house it's your home. Don't let anyone rush you or try to tell you what you want. I can't really complain because, I had a great realtor. So, my experience was not as bad as I've heard other people say it is. Great staff, amazing home & wonderful experience.

Our house seemed rushed and not complete. We paid lots for an incomplete house. Cole was helping us get everything taken care of, then they let him go leaving us with people that did not take customer service as seriously as he did. Now that Cole is back, which we are sooooo relieved by, hopefully things will get corrected for us. Our original salesman Scott has been awesome as well. Cole and Scott were the only ones that cared about us.

Good help and they worked fast

Everything has been great from the start. Nathan has been awesome on guiding me this first month that I’ve lived in my home answering any questions I have. He has also had minor repairs done for me that I missed during the walk through and etc. Definitely would recommend family and friends to build and or buy a home through KB! I love my KB home and builders.

The journey of building the house was awesome. Being a first time home buyer the staff made it as smooth as possible. Very happy with how the home came out.

From Day one when our Realtor Tyler took us to Medio and meet Marvin it was a fun almost stress free experience. They both kept us up to date and tried their best to make it as stress free as possible. Happy to be in our new home....and Extremely happy to have met Dalton our Superintendent who has GONE above and Beyond to make our home perfect
