They're just trying to get you into a house

So if you're a 1st time homebuyer with no options, then this may be the right builder for you. Here's my process from beginning to end. Go into the sales office and take a look at the houses and decide if you want to buy or not. After that you get put on a waiting list where their mortgage officer takes at least a whole month to reach out to you after being told week after week from your sales rep that someone should be reaching out to you. Finally, the mortgage officer sees if you're qualified by giving you a ridiculous loan that sticks with you till closing day (so go with another lender). ...

Our dream home disaster

We closed in late September. That same weekend our entire kitchen and most of our LVP had to be ripped out because of water damage caused by a faulty dishwasher setup. We were in the house for nearly a month, then found out we had mold. We have since been removed from the home awaiting remediation. This has been an absolute nightmare, but we are working through the remaining issues. Additionally, the overall build quality was average at best with some areas still needing repairs or rework. All of this after almost two months after closing. I wouldn't do it again.

I paid cash for my home. I let myself be rushed instead of making sure the issues with my home were taken care prior to closing. I have paint splatters on the lvp flooring; on the concrete outside my home; paint on the carpeting; hot water heater didn’t work, and though I let the super know it took a bit for it to be repaired by the plumbing company; the cabinet in the master bathroom was not repaired; the cabinet molding was not replaced; all the bathtubs are scratched; the cultured marble in the secondary bathroom is chipped; the kitchen sink is scratched like it was used by the builder ...

Overall Terrible experience

Nobody really knows what’s going on most of the time. They claim to be very good with communication, but the communication is solely through spam and automatic emails. We had countless issues along the way that were pushed off and were told “it’ll be fine don’t worry” to include our house being done 3 months early and them trying to force us to move in or lose the house. All of the issues we had could have been avoided with communication on their end between themselves and their higher ups. They know we aren’t happy and have tried to give us things to make sure we don’t give bad reviews or ...

the builder was the only bright spot in the entire experience.

the only bright spots in the entire affair were the builder and our third loan officer. Everything else was horrible. We received 13 different closing dates and were cancelled 3 times by letter. Our original loan officer was terminated and our second got sick, the third saved the day.

Worst experience ever

At first things were good until our lot was sold from up under us twice. No notification or idea it had happened until when it was time to get a date for the studio. Then once that was sorted, studio selections were double selected by a neighboring house which caused some reselections without compensation. Once that was figured out, when it came time to close on the house multiple credit checks within a month mixed up identity from loan officer and closing agent and once we got to the final hour KB denied me a loan. It was all too peculiar, like KB didn't want to sell the house to us. But I ...

I’m dissatisfied with the quality of cheap materials that KB Homes put into the building of the homes. Although they build the homes in great locations. Still the quality needs better performance, design and selection.

Many things did not go as planned with building our home. When a change needed to happen or something was prolonged it took for me the buyer to ask questions and find answer and no one ever knew what was what.

Not very happy with KB Home, and their loan officers and management. Loan officers never properly communicated with us. In the end we had to find a different lender. After the closing when we entered the house, there were things needed to be fixed. Here we are trying to get settled in the new home we were still calling the contractor to get the stuff fixed inside the home.

After we picked the house we wanted, nothing was good or great after that. Mortgage company was horrible. We did a walk through previously with blue tape and signed off. When we moved in, nothing was fixed we had marked. Trying to get them to fix anything was like pulling teeth and we had to do some of it ourselves. When someone spends over $400,000 on a brand new house, the buyer shouldn't have to do quality control in the contractors job. Do not recommend.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! If you’re looking to get a KB home make sure to come in with your own financing company. The finance department is horrible aside from Lionel in finance who heard our cries and disappointment through the process. Building too soooo king it was months where houses that weren’t sold before ours had already been worked on. We are two months in and still need repairs fixed. If you can elsewhere do so it’s not worth it

The salesman Rey S. made promises that he could not keep. He was at the Title company the day of closing he saw us and never spoke to us. Shows he really cared about us. $$$$$ (NOT)construction date was pushed back Repeatedly( six months)closing was a nightmare (it took 7 hours). I have been in my home 78 days and still have not got a thank you card or anything from sale’s or Kb thanking us for purchasing a home. There are to many people involved in the transactions. If I had not put time, money and effort into this house, I would have walked away. Advice to consumers, do your homework. As ...

The sales man was horrible, the title company and closing was horrible. The window washers came and told me they didn't finish and said they'd be back, they haven't come back. I've requested about 3 times now when they're coming back, still not back. After 3 week review I was told the painters would be back, they're still not back also.

The most exciting event full of lies and empty promises!

From start to finish I was very disappointed in the process. The sales person didn’t make an effort in anyway to guide me or give me any information on options. The entire plan was to get me to close ASAP and I had to put a lot of effort to get them to finish my house as promised. I had closed and two months later received my keys because the NEW HOUSE needed to have some items repaired. I still didn’t get my garage door opener at that time. I felt like I was dealing with used car sales staff! Use caution when buying a NEW HOME from this builder.

This had to be one of the most stressful purchase and move we had ever experienced. I’ll start at the beginning with the loan officer, our loan officer matt gave us some expectation he was not able to keep. He was very unreliable, he would say I’ll call you and he would never do. During the whole process we were left in the dark, he was more worried about his personal business he had on the side than his actual job. We had no idea where our loan was in the process and on top of that we stressed to him the importance of setting our closing date because we were moving from Delaware to Texas and ...

Since the very beginning at every stage of the process, I’ve communicated any errors or complaints immediately. After any complaints and talking to different associates in different departments, there was always a sense that things would be addressed, however that was never the case. Either things get passed down to different departments or people in charge, but things were never done. The overall construction of the home was very sloppy, tons of mistakes in just about every step. Lots of very obvious mistakes that were just looked past. When finalizing the home purchase, many things were ...

Our house seemed rushed and not complete. We paid lots for an incomplete house. Cole was helping us get everything taken care of, then they let him go leaving us with people that did not take customer service as seriously as he did. Now that Cole is back, which we are sooooo relieved by, hopefully things will get corrected for us. Our original salesman Scott has been awesome as well. Cole and Scott were the only ones that cared about us.

I bought a brand new home, with that I expected it to perfect inside. There have been so many issues in my house and still are. They have attempted to fix some things, but they still don’t look acceptable. Contractors that are doing my work don’t seem be professional and you can tell in their work.
