Would never buy from KB again. Poor quality and workmanship. Their subs drink on the job. They cant seem to get it right the first, second, or third time. Service after wards has not been any better. Had an oven door damaged at installation. It’s been 3-4 months and it’s still damaged. Floor already started buckling. They started the repair and have not come to finish.

Do not fill out any surveys until at least 30 days after closing. I emphasize do not fill out that survey at closing. Project managers need accommodate buyers working schedules and meet after 5pm and possibly weekends just like sales. Buyers shouldn't need to loose pay to schedule fixes to poor workmanship and sub standard materials

Process was easy. Small attention to details are lacking (caulking, paint, exterior details, etc). Overall, not bad.

Home buying is not an easy process. There’s always issues. The main problem I had was that communication with the loan officer was absolutely terrible. It took days to get a response, but then I was called several times and rushed to submit items. I had two different loan officers, one was great (I believe his name was Josh) and the other is the one I had issues with. My main loan officer, Dais, would call me at the end of the business day and even if I called back 2 minutes after missing her call, I would get no response until end of business day the next day. My realtor would reach out to her and she got a response, but I wouldn’t. The processor was even worse. She made several mistakes caught by others, did not apologize for any of them, and made me jump through extra hoops that were not necessary. As far as the construction, several items were wrong. Some were fixed, others weren’t and it took forever to get them fixed. I do not believe the home was worth the price. I received little to no amenities. For example, other companies provide a garage door opener, window blinds, and even a basic refrigerator for the same price that I purchased this home for. I did not receive any of those items. Other homes are going for the same price, in the same location, are larger and come with those amenities. Unfortunately, I felt like I was too far along in the process to go with another company. The reason why I gave this review two stars is because Val, the sales rep, was/is awesome! He always got back to me in a timely response. Thank you KN Homes in New Braunfels, TX! My career is on the road which makes getting things done a bit stressful but I had a stress free experience with the staff of KB. Diane and Jeff are easy to reach and have been so helpful with the purchasing, moving, and establishing a home in New Braunfels. The craftsmanship of my new home is excellent! Even my inspector said so!

Worst experience, would never buy again from here. Stay away if you can.

Same as above read and read understand our frustrations

I like my home and most of the process was good. However, when an issue arose, that KB had not disclosed to me in a timely manner, it was made clear that I was not as important as their bottom line and that "Business was Business" per Jerrod in Management. It was 3 weeks before I was due to close. I think Jerrod would have been happy if I just walked away. It left a really bad impression and undermined all of the good things and good people that work for KB. Kudos to Darin, Sarah, and Tom. They were great. Amanda in closing was slow to respond which made doing a cash deal really difficult. I've been in my home 2 months now. I am still waiting on some "blue tape" items identified at final walk through to be completed. ... More

Building too fast, taking shortcuts to save in cost, cheap labor and materials for an overpriced home. Had issues in every phase of the process..

We are thankful for our KB home and the experience!

This was our first time purchasing a home and to say it was stressful would be an understatement. Nevertheless, the team here at KB had our back especially the builder Jeff.

We recently built a custom built home in the southton Cove neighborhood in Elmendorf. We have been here for a month and so far have been pleased with our new home. We did have a few hiccups along the way and it took longer than promised to build our home for various reasons, but both KB and our mortgage lender worked through the issues and made it happen for us. KB was responsive to our concerns and the construction team was absolutely amazing. They have been great and have addressed any issues that we have encountered quickly. Overall, it has been a great experience and we love our new home

Pleased with my experience with KB homes

Had a great experience with KB Home. Had one issue after closing. Had a water leak from AC condensate drain that was not hooked up. Soaked one bedroom carpet and pad. At first was told that fans are blowing on carpet and pad to dry it out. Protested that there could be mold with this method. Then KB Home did replace with new pad and carpet. Resolved satisfactorily!!

I would recommend kb to family and friends. Best experience ever

It was a great experience and I’m completely satisfied.

The KB Home buying experience was great. From beginning to start. There were a couple of issues in the building stage but the construction team were able to address my concerns and fixed any issues i had in a timely manner.

There were a few minor things which weee identified when I did the final walk through which needed attention. I was promised that everything would be made right. I can see now that promise was only good until I completed the homeboy survey sent out. Tony had made sure get a few things fixed before the survey got to me. However, since the survey was submitted, all other things on the list have been quickly forgotten about. As a result, my front door leaked water during a recent heavy storm because the weather stripping was not correctly installed on the front or back doors. Had I not been home at the time of the storm, my entire living room would have been flooded. Please note, part of the carpet did in fact get soaked and I had a huge amount of water to mop up at the entry. I notified Tony about this and he stated that the previous installed of the weather stripping was no longer being used by KB, but he has yet to send anyone to correct this problem. I was also promised a set of blinds for the master bathtub window. The company who was supposed to install them has not delivered yet. There was paint drops on the kitchen cabinets and no one has come to clean them or the sticky glue on the vinyl flooring. I see now that my mistake was in completing the big survey they hounded me about shortly after I closed. If that was all it took for my home’s problems to be ignored so quickly it makes me wonder what will happen if I ever need to file a warrant claim. I don’t like to be constantly calling to make complaints and it should not require such rude behavior to get things made right. It’s don’t know it Tony will even see this review, but this is my last chance to voice my concerns and at least get a message out to other buyers do not be quick to submit your home buyer survey if you have anything thing which was not completed or don’t incorrectly during the construction of your home.
