Fair pricing and was attractive compared to older homes in same area

Their customer service is excellent. The entire staff is prompt and responsive and has been wonderful to work with.

Landscaping could of been better. Backyard slope is bothering. Attention to detail also concerning.

Overall experience is good and we are happy.

My family was not completely onboard with the lot that was assigned by the original salesperson. However, after waiting a few months, the new salesperson was able to grant us the lot we wanted. Thus, being patient allowed us to get our preferred lot and of course our dream house built. It is great that a change in personnel can lead to both better purchase experience and customer service.

Finding our next home was very important. We were downsizing and looking for something new and ready to move in. Lucky for us we found the very first available home in Alderbrook and it became available at the perfect time.

In order to buy a new home we have to plan in advance how you want your new home look like.

The design center made us very excited for our new home. The options looked great and what we were hoping for. Laura at the design center was amazing and answered all our niche questions. We were also satisfied with the timeline of work and the quick time to completion. However, we felt disappointed in a few specific but critical areas. All of the meetings for the home are during normal work hours. It made it difficult to schedule the meetings or we need to use work PTO or rearrange work commitments to come. Our frustration was compounded when meetings were changed without commutating to us. Having alternative times for the design center meetings or walk thoughs would have been helpful. During the construction process, we'd often point out issues and they would not take the concerns seriously or try to brush off our concerns. This led to a mistrust of the work that was being done and needing to do our own confirmations that our concerns were addressed, frequently having to follow up multiple times because we were not getting answers or a response. Finally, we were happy with the look of the home when we took ownership but were also disappointed to see a deep clean was not done. The backsplash had globs of grout on the kitchen backsplash, cabinets, and bathroom tile. The floors also had a dirty film on it and required extensive scrubbing. We are happy that we were able to get a home that looks the way we'd like but the process of getting there was frustrating and have concerns in areas about the longevity of the workmanship. ... More

I am not at all satisfied with Landscaping and missing few things by construction people. Construction people they are not installing what we have chosen in kb designer studios properly.

Homebuying experience was fair, could have been better in my opinion. Quality of workmanship & materials are not the greatest. I've notice a lot of paint overspray around the house and especially on my floors! I don't have time to be scrubbing paint off my new floors! I've noticed cracks and nicks on my cabinets, and nicks on my shower doors as well. The list goes on... I don't believe the house is worth for what I paid for it.

The model home was impeccable, your home will not be. We paid thousands in upgrading almost everything that you could in their base model home, and our home looks like a college kid slapped everything together with a hammer and some nails. Cabinets are crooked, chipped, cracked, and missing hardware. Vinyl floors are warped like you are walking on an uneven gravel road, same experience with carpet (the subfloors are not settling correctly). Paint throughout the home is uneven, finishes are horrible (it looks like a college kid painted the home in a few hours) paint easily scuffs and chips, so don’t plan to even touch the walls because you will either chip or blemish the paint. Upgraded canned lights are not flush with the ceilings and have paint all over them (according to the superintendent, this is my responsibility to get them flush, he claims they cannot get it perfect). Window seals are horrible and have tons of draft, and patio slider does not close properly and has a lot of draft as well. Upgraded kitchenaid appliances are malfunctioning and installed crooked, but it is your responsibility to get it fixed, KB Homes will not help with that. Door frames are crooked (KB Homes has to come in and reframe/reset many doors throughout the house because they do not close now). Trim work is horrible, you will have large gaps between floors and trim (the excuse is they use “floating floors” but I am in real-estate, and I have seen much higher quality installs with “floating floors” I suspect the sub floors are either settling wrong or installed incorrectly. Dishwasher, Microwave and Refrigerator had issues. Dishwasher and Refrigerator was serviced once. Microwave has been serviced by the Builder and then the homebuyer 2 times!!! Horrible. Brand new home and all three appliances had to be serviced? Microwave 3 times??? Bad experience. Will not recommend to family or friends.
