Finding our next home was very important. We were downsizing and looking for something new and ready to move in. Lucky for us we found the very first available home in Alderbrook and it became available at the perfect time.

My experience was very good, and staffs are very accommodating. Communication was perfect, especially the loan department- those guys are good. Aven after we moved into the house, they still call us to know how wea re doing in case we have any concern. Honestly, I am impressed.

Great bang for buck in value. Overall the home exceeded expectation and upgrades were well worth the money paid. Beware of some excessively priced items in the selection process. But most selections are fairly priced. Quality and materials have gotten tons of compliments from contractors brought in to do small renovations. Our home inspector said the things he found are incredibly minimal compared to other new constructions he's seen.

The model home was impeccable, your home will not be. We paid thousands in upgrading almost everything that you could in their base model home, and our home looks like a college kid slapped everything together with a hammer and some nails. Cabinets are crooked, chipped, cracked, and missing hardware. Vinyl floors are warped like you are walking on an uneven gravel road, same experience with carpet (the subfloors are not settling correctly). Paint throughout the home is uneven, finishes are horrible (it looks like a college kid painted the home in a few hours) paint easily scuffs and chips, so don’t plan to even touch the walls because you will either chip or blemish the paint. Upgraded canned lights are not flush with the ceilings and have paint all over them (according to the superintendent, this is my responsibility to get them flush, he claims they cannot get it perfect). Window seals are horrible and have tons of draft, and patio slider does not close properly and has a lot of draft as well. Upgraded kitchenaid appliances are malfunctioning and installed crooked, but it is your responsibility to get it fixed, KB Homes will not help with that. Door frames are crooked (KB Homes has to come in and reframe/reset many doors throughout the house because they do not close now). Trim work is horrible, you will have large gaps between floors and trim (the excuse is they use “floating floors” but I am in real-estate, and I have seen much higher quality installs with “floating floors” I suspect the sub floors are either settling wrong or installed incorrectly.
