We made an offer on our home at a slightly lower price than asking because the sales agent (licensed ?) implied that it may be accepted. We were the last couple to come in that night and somehow they had another offer first thing the next morning at asking price. We decided to keep looking at other houses. We went to another KB Homes development, but didn’t like the area as much. We told the sales person at that location that we liked the house at the Federal Way location better. We were told the house we wanted was no longer available and they wouldn’t have any other homes in that community any time soon. She seemed perplexed and said “I think they still have some availability”. She then said she would double check for us. She checked and wouldn’t you know, the house we made an offer on was still available. We were upset but still wanted the house so our realtor worked his magic and the next thing we knew KB Homes accepted our offer at a small price increase over our original offer. Now the struggle comes. The front door was hung wrong and told them that before we moved in. We were assured it will be fixed. You couldn’t tell there was still a problem when we moved in because it was winter, cloudy and raining. On the first semi clear day around 3 in the afternoon, you could see daylight coming through the top, bottom right and left side of the door. The gap was egregious. We sent pictures in and KB sent someone out to fix it. Well the first fix did nothing! I called back and said the issue still hadn’t been resolved. The decided to send out a contractor. He told us the door was installed poorly and he need to cut through the framing and siding. So he attempted to fix it. We were put out for two days. The problem still wasn’t fixed, so the warranty guy came out and messed around with it (he used a different type of wedge) and assured us once again the door was fixed. After about 3 days when the sun was facing our door we noticed the issued still hadn’t been resolved. We told our warranty guy that the only time you can tell there is an issue is in the afternoon when the sun is shining on the front door. Alas, he sent someone over again at 8 in the morning and once again assured me the issue was fixed because he used a flashlight to simulate the sun. The problem is still there and lots of air comes through our front door. I don’t trust KB to fix this issue anymore. We are going to hire our own door company to assess what needs to be done to fix the door and give us an estimate. The door that KB has tried to fix many times over, has been scraped and banged up. I want a new door at this point. We will start litigation if that’s what KB wants. It’s a simple issue that should have been fixed over 2 months ago! ... More

We were promised moon but then during closing things were still not done. Commitments were broken and no communication whatsoever
