The sales and construction teams were responsive and generally trustworthy throughout the process. Communication was clear on most items, and they addressed questions and walkthrough items in a timely way. The home itself has been solid so far. A few small finish or coordination items came up (as is common with new construction), but they were handled. Overall a straightforward experience and I would consider KB Home again.

Great overall experience, the home is beautiful! The walls are very thin and sound travels through them easily.

Seller needs to be more clear about the promotions, I was told 5.9 rate and it change. Workman ship was poor too many defects mostly interior some exterior. But overall was a bad experience through the whole process.

There was a fair amount of pressure to get a "sale" as opposed to matching the appropriate home and lot to our lifestyle and needs. Your property taxes will be based on your final selling price, which includes a lot premium not initially disclosed+options. There is limited flexibility in the layout of the home, and while there is a lot of space, there also is a lot of wasted space. Similarly, there is no flexibility re: placement on the lot, be sure to get your yard sizes clear first before signing anything. Even being proactive, communication was spotty and everything was on their terms, from the 21 days to visit their design studio three times, generally weekdays, to site visits, only on weekdays. This was difficult for those of us with jobs and other responsibilities hours away, necessitating a hotel stay, and inflexible. For our final sign off and approval, it was again weekdays. We wanted to have an independent inspection, and our sales rep, who was mostly responsive and informative, suggested waiting until six months after closing! For the closing, we received 30-day notice, but again the date was inflexible, but at least could be done remotely. We never received a welcome basket like other owners nor a welcome letter that perhaps outlined expectations. Getting warranty service was like pulling teeth, though the rep is/was great when you meet with him, but he told us then that we should keep a list and send it to them later. Again, a lack of communication. We're doubtful that we'll hear from them despite the outline of what is supposed to happen on their website, e.g., the 30-day checkin was by survey, and the schedule prior to that didn't always line up. The expectation is that, upon closing, for you to move in immediately, which can e problematic if during the months of March through october when landscaping is the focus and the owner is immediately responsible for it. The board of directors is opaque, not transparent, and rules are enforced by complaint, not evenly. The management company has poor ratings, be sure to check this before signing as well. Workmanship is generally good, but the choice and quality.of appliances is severely limited and in some cases poor, the choices leave a lot to be desired. Some appliances are optional. The so-called "smart" devices aren't intuitive and don't connect to the monopoly that Xfinity has on Internet service, also with spotty customer service. Utility costs may come as a shock, as water/sewer and electricity rates are much higher than neighboring counties, and the summertime costs for irrigation are mind-boggling. Check out the city's and electricity provider's rates before signing. Another aspect is neighborhood noise. While an owner in the center of the community has some say so in this matter, those on the edges are at the whims of the neighboring HOAs or homes. In our case, we have a neighbor who blasts their music so loud that it reverberates >100 feet away, in our living room. Their neighbor is selling, and this may be the reason. In addition, our home was constructed with the primary bedroom nearest to this noisemaker and the noise of the heat pump that's right outside its main window, the latter a questionable design choice that we did not have. The superintendent was a bright spot in our journey, for he was reticent about our having an inspector, happened to be on vacation the week before the inspection occurred, and showed anguish with the dozens of findings that resulted on his first day back. We feel that if the superintendent wasn't on vacation that most of these items wouldn't have been there, for he came across as a responsive person who follows through with his workers. Another bright spot was the warranty person, although he was obviously spread too thin and another, higher up intervened at one point to ask us to direct issues to her. My wife and I had a wonderful experience from start to finish.

It was a very straight forward experience. Communication was sent out weekly and we were able to visit the house any time we liked.

We closed on our home at ***** at ***** in July and have been settling in for about two months now. The purchase process was straightforward and communication during the build and closing stayed clear, which mattered a lot for us as first-time buyers in this community. The layout and finishes have held up well so far, and the walkthrough caught most of the small items before move-in. Anything that came up afterward has been handled through the warranty process. Overall we're happy with the home and would recommend KB Home to other buyers in the area.

Overall Process: The overall experience from purchase to move-in was smooth. Home Quality and Value: The craftsmanship is generally good, though there are a few minor things currently bothering me. As I have been in the home for less than two months, it is still early to determine if there are underlying issues I am not yet aware of. Experience with the Builder's Team: I was satisfied with the team up until the point I was handed over to the support team. I would have liked to see overall quality at a higher standard. We’ve just spent our first night in the house. Time will tell how well products stand up. This is my 5th brand new home so I’m a seasoned home buyer. This house did not meet best satisfaction on quality and workmanship of the home.

Customer service experience was top notch!

This is my first time ever buying a home. And everyone on the KB Homes team kept me in the loop of every information I need to know. So I had a very great experience with them. Home loan experience through KB Homes was so much easier and smoother than the previous loan officer I had. Glad I bought a home without no trouble.

David in the sales office was very knowledgeable and helpful. He always kept me informed as to the progress of the construction of the house as resided in California during construction. Once we moved in he was always available to answer any questions that we had.

The overall process was great. I'd do it all over again. I don't have any regrets building a home with KB HOMES.

There are no 20A circuits where we can run our treadmill or water distiller. Kicks out the GFI every time. I asked the electrical contractor who wired the house for a quote on putting in a single 20A circuit. $1,000. You’d think that a $720,000 home could have had a 20A circuit for a treadmill. Lots of people have treadmills. I’m not sure whether a 15A circuit would even power a skill saw under load. Every person we’ve dealt with through our building process have been extraordinary, wonderful people. We love our new home, but had no idea about the power deficiency. Sales department needs more training. We were told a lot of incorrect information. And they never followed up with concerns or communicate with the rest of the team in order to address those concerns properly. Sloppy worksmanship(mainly with paint job of exterior and interior) although our superintend was very nice. Several issues already only two months after closing. We were told there would be 10 day and 1 month check ins/follow up with customer service but we got neither. The only thing we are satisfied with was the design studio experience and consultant.

We expected much more from the quality of the KB Home. With the price and presentation, we thought that we were purchasing an excellent house. However once in, we realize that the quality is much lower than our expectations. Exapmples - a) the insulation is terrible - the wall between the office and master bath seems like there is NO insulation - when the shower door is closed - it reverberates loudly in the office - that should NEVER be the case. Ralph comes from a builder family and knows what quality is. He is also an Interior Designer/Architect and knows the business - thus we have been exceedingly disappointed in our purchase. b)Also the windows appear to have be deficient - they hold moisture and are wet at the base .c) The stair going into the garage does not appear to be the appropriate width - we have nearly fallen down the step several times. c) We also notice that several neighbors had "french drains" installed under their houses. We have been told that we also have free water pooling under our house. Do we need to have a french drain installed? When walking over the floors - things on the counters "rattle" due to the vibration. We have never lived in a house where this happens. Thank you for allowing input ... More

Bought a brand new home in Falling Water 2 and the build quality is not as good as I would expect with a new home and under the brand of KB Homes. The roof above my garage is bowed and they keep telling me it is a cosmetic defect... I am hiring roofing company to give me a second opinion

Actually, this is the third home I have purchased in the last 20 years. My first home was bought by my ex-wife, who added me to it. We then built a second home together. The quality of the homes was satisfactory, and the builders was accurate. They suggested a meeting shortly thereafter. However, I am quite dissatisfied with the responses I have received regarding at least eight or nine issues I raised directly with the builder. I will refrain from naming anyone, but I am sincerely disappointed.

1.)Upon walkthrough notice drain and crawl space, ask what's that for was told for emergencies. Now upon inspections and crawlspace, moisture and water underwater vapor. So waters coming in under the drainage system at this time causing issues with mold possibly growing. 2.) serious noise issue with air conditioning unit outside of master bedroom. The piping is run through the framing and not properly insulated that it makes a vibration noise and keeps us awake most of the night. It started to cause health issues. Bob's heating has come inspected and says the unit is running properly. The issue is not the unit running it's where the pipe is run through the framing up to the heater causing loud vibration noises all night and day. We have contacted customer service several times in reference this matter. The response is that's the only place I can put the unit and the way needs to adjust our temperature higher so the air conditioner doesn't run. Our overall experience with all representatives of KB was wonderful. One example of great customer service is there was a concrete platform off of my back patio that was missing. I contacted the service rep, and the platform was installed the next day!!! The quality of the home, and the structure of the home are both very well done. The incentives that came with the home, made the overall price very affordable. I cant say enough, that if your thinking about buying a newly built home, you would be missing out if you do not, at the very least, look into a KB Home.

We recently closed on our new KB Home, and overall, we're thrilled with the process and the final product. From start to finish, the team made what could have been a stressful experience feel manageable and even exciting. Our sales rep, Michele, was outstanding. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the floor plans, upgrades, and community details right from our first visit to the model home. Michele took the time to listen to our needs and walked us through every option without pushing unnecessary add-ons, and was super responsive via text and email—even on weekends when we had random questions about financing or timelines. Her professionalism and patience really stood out, especially compared to some other builders we'd looked at. Once we were under contract, Jeff, our construction superintendent, was always available to answer site-specific questions, like plumbing placement or exterior finishes, and he addressed a couple of minor concerns during walkthroughs quickly and without hassle. His attention to detail showed in the final quality—everything from framing to drywall to final touches looked solid and well-done. The home was delivered on time, and the punch list items were handled promptly before closing. The house itself is well-built, energy-efficient, and feels like great value for the price. We've had no major issues post-move-in, and the warranty team has been responsive so far. Our experience with KB Homes was positive thanks to great people like Michele and Jeff. Dave was great & very informative. My wife & I are first time homebuyers & Dave was patient & answered all of our questions to the best of his ability. Home was purchased as is & KB home was able to get us closed within 4 weeks! A minor issue arose in my garage & KB was quick to respond back to me with a solution. Great communication with home owners & are living up to their reputation

Had a great experience with the entire term. The on-site representative who walked me through the different offerings, the foreman giving me updates on the construction, the loan officer constantly communicating and treated changed and what I could expect to be my payments and close costs. Everyone was really involved and extremely responsive whenever I called it email with any questions.

KB made the homebuying experience an easy one. Everything was clearly explained and documented for us and the response time after move in was great. The financial team was excellent. They were thorough and very clear in explaining every step of the process. Shoutout to Neal Persad and his colleagues.
