From start to finish, I was informed the entire time on the process of designing the home to the construction/completion of the home. Everyone was knowledgeable and helpful.

There is no clear demarcation between homes which will help to maintain. There were some extra materials in garage during home walk through but later it was taken away. I asked multiple times but no response.

First, your team at Falling Waters have done an excellent job all during our buying process. Jose, Jerry, Laura, Jeff, Tod and Nolan all are commendable and very on top of every process. Jeff has came in and fixed our bathroom sink several times. I would and have strongly recommended KB homes to several folks. Thank You all for the attention to detail and quality of your teams expertise. Our last home we bought it new pre-built and lived there for 37yrs because of the quality of that builder we are as pleased if not more so with the quality for this home and your team.

It sounds like you're experiencing issues with low-quality materials and inadequate plumbing in your new home. The small pipes leading to low water pressure can be a significant inconvenience. the sales team is being helpful and help in the buys process which I greatly appreciated.

The staff was knowledgeable, responsive and strived to match our need and wants to what is available from KB.

When buying a new home get ready to go from 0 to 100 mph in a moment. Be on hand to watch you house being built if possible. Write down or take good notes and ask questions a lot of questions. Our sales represent David did and awesome job keeping us informed and communicating with the builder of our concerns, working with our relator when it came to crunch time and always being available on his days off. Heather did a great job ensuring the project managers addressed our concerns. It is important that you pay great attention to the details of the construction process, take plenty of pictures before the house is closed in. Look at the crafts work and remember they or only working with the materials provided by the builder. Not every board is perfect this will be more evident when the project is near completion i.e. floors may not be solid when walked on, the walls may not be perfect and have bows, the windows when dry walled may not be true and will need to be floated in to appear square and if measuring for window blinds learn the correct way to measure them because the width at the top won't be the same as the middle or bottom, remember quality of materials. Watch for the quality of paint used the crafts are only as good as the product they are provided and the preparation of the materials. You are very lucking of have the yard fenced and grass installed. That being said, look at the quality of land if it is rocky with little dirt the build will use the minimal amount of soil 4" and install sod on top of that. The company that provides our turf recommended up 6" of soil with a fertilizer worked in before the turf was to be installed because of our soil condition. You will need to apply fertilizer within a month of moving in see the turf supplier's recommendation. Prior to closing have your house inspected by a third party it's worth the money remember these are new homes being built by the crafts and managed by project managers build multiple homes at one time things will get missed. Everything went smooth during transaction

Working with Jerry was a pure delight. He made sure that everything was done to perfection he was communicative and worked with my agent and lender. Customer service is very good.

Unfortunately we have had a very bad experience with our KB home purchase. Not only did they fall greatly short on presenting a finished "New" home but have lacked any sense of Urgency to get issues resolved. The staff are pleasant and friendly but just haven't gotten it done as of this review. I know people that have purchased Kb homes and loved them so maybe we just got a bad crew.

Frame of reference - rated as a large scale, tract home developer. Basic construction quality in our development is excellent. YMMV, depending on state/region. Base finishes/appliances are what you would expect, but the design studio is a very valuable feature of the process, where you add options, and has a good number of choices. Expect to budget at least 50K though, if you want to upgrade to better quality components. If you are going to go higher end, additional 80-100K should be planned. As you would expect, there is not a lot of flexibility in the build process outside of provided options for elevations, paint color scheme, etc., but there is a good amount of flexibility in the choices available for furnishing through the studio. All staff we interacted with during build and mortgage process were easy to work with and professional. Post-possession, customer service has been highly responsive and generally quite helpful. Overall, especially in our market (Metro Seattle), we feel that our home represents a very good value for the cost per square foot. ... More
