Buying a first home is supposed to be a joyous, monumental achievement. For me, it turned into an unnecessarily stressful and deeply unpleasant experience, largely due to a complete lack of professionalism, empathy, and communication from the team, particularly the Lennar employee handling the initial process. The very first interaction, which should set an encouraging tone, was instead one of humiliation. While running my numbers, the Lennar representative managed to make me feel "less than"—as if I wasn't worthy of buying a home. This is unacceptable. As a first-time buyer, you already carry a significant amount of anxiety about your finances. To have a professional, whose job it is to facilitate this dream, actively make you feel small or inadequate completely poisons the well. This process is a major life milestone, not a high-stakes interrogation. The complete lack of emotional intelligence shown was appalling and turned what should have been an exciting meeting into a source of personal distress. Once the initial hurdle was cleared, the lack of communication only intensified. It was, and honestly, still is, horrible. Buying a new construction home requires clear, consistent updates—on construction progress, financing deadlines, and closing details. Instead, I faced radio silence, unanswered emails, and the constant stress of not knowing where things stood. I spent more time chasing updates than I did celebrating the fact that I was buying a home. This forced me to live in a state of perpetual anxiety, wondering if the deal was secretly falling apart due to their negligence. The only thing that mattered to the company, it seems, was the successful transfer of funds. "They got their money," and that appears to be the only metric of success they cared about. The human element—the understanding that this was a person achieving a long-held dream—was entirely absent. This was not a pleasant achievement; it was a battle of attrition against poor service. While I ultimately achieved the milestone of homeownership, the journey was so soured by the team's behavior that the victory feels muted and tainted. For anyone considering a first-time purchase with Lennar, be prepared for a purely transactional experience where your feelings and milestones are secondary to the sale. While I now have a home, the process itself was a 1 out of 5 stars. The lack of courtesy, respect, and basic communication turned a moment of triumph into one of frustration and bitter disappointment. I strongly urge future buyers to advocate fiercely for themselves, document every communication (or lack thereof), and not tolerate any employee who makes them feel unworthy. You are the customer, and you deserve a respected, professional, and clear path to homeownership. This was something that I wish was different. I am still going with unanswered questions, answers and lack of. The home is beautiful but the material is not quality. Just putting something on the wall as of tape the paint is coming off and all I am seeing is drywall. A piece of Scotch tape should not do that for your home. The junction box is not mounted in the wall correctly which is unsafe, a city violation and the only way I was able to find this out was by putting a ceiling fan in my home. it looks like it was done all quickly with the lack of. I have a switch that leads nowhere only because there are to 2 negative wires connected to it. So you have to wonder where is the positive line?? In the wall which has me worried but now my money has to be spent on an electrician to come out and take a look at my brand new home to make sure it's safe for my FAMILY. ... More

It is a great experience with the builder buying a house. I am sure to share my experience with my friends who are planning to buy house in future.

Biggest issue revolved around the Lennar Mortgage loan team. Kept asking for ridiculous amounts of documents and statements. Felt I was bring criminally investigated, and not purchasing a home. Even after the loan closed the loan team asked me for statements. Loan team was very difficult to work with and despite complaints to supervision and management, the loan team kept asking for documents. I had to write a statement why I use my checking account to pay my credit card bills. Far too many regular purchases made by me required the loan team for unreasonable supporting documents.

From the first person that showed me the house to all help people that help me along the way, thank you at 68 years old. It was a pleasure dealing with people that had patience and answered all my questions write down to the people that processed my mortgage.

Lennar does not pay attention to details - seems more like mass productionLennar seems to focus less on details, giving the impression that their homes are produced in mass quantities.

Please don’t give them your hard earned money. I closed 2 months ago, and my home is still unsafe to live in. I cry all time because of what they have done and continue to inflict upon me.

Beautiful home! Great experience! Just bought my new LENNAR home in Red Rock Village, AZ. Everyone, and I do mean EVERYONE, was so kind, friendly, upbeat, helpful, knowledgable and professional. They answered ALL of my questions, accommodated ALL of my requests, always responded quickly to any of my communication. Just can't say enough great things about my experience. We looked at two model homes and fell in love with the Sage. However, when we did our walk through on new home, things had changed. Exterior color scheme, window and door layout and kitchen counters were not the same. All along we believed were getting what we saw. Had several discussions about some of these things but in the end we were told we are a production builder not custom. Understood, but communication via the initial salesman was a bit sketchy. We will repaint the garage and front doors to match the model.(got green, wanted brown) Being a couple states away during construction, had my son in law take pictures of the framing phase. Found several split 2x4s that I had to have fixed, twice, on load bearing wall. Got some push back from aforementioned salesman but got them replaced before the next phase. Beyond that, we do love the home. Once the house closed and we did our final walk through our experience with project manager Eric was incredible. It was obvious he cared about our satisfaction. Actually sent workers back to repair some cosmetic flaws in a bathroom sink after we signed off. In the end my advice would be to stay on top of the details. ... More

Was an easy move in. The home was ready move in. No problems that needed to be taken care of up front.

James was great during the purchase process. Trying to connect with him afterwards was difficult. Not sure if he even still works for Lennar. Waiting on a few minor repairs. Process is super slow. Overall very happy with home. I’m sure we’ll get it worked

Every last individual and department executed flawlessly. A few little start up issues but the builder is very responsive in addressing any concerns. Very happy with the construction and location.

Everything ran smoothly from the sale to the mortgage and title to the build. I loved how the app had milestones. We couldn't be happier in our new home. I would definately recommend Lennar as a builder. An amazing experience!

For our first home, we decided to go with Lennar at Asante. Very affordable homes and well built in a highly competitive market. Their team was very thorough during the entire home-buying process and answered all of our immediate concerns. Would highly recommend to all living in the Phoenix metro area.

It has been over 30 yrs. since I last purchased my previous home. I sold my home and was looking to downsize. Looked at different builders, but really like the Lennar model I looked at. Then, I was pleasantly surprised at how comprehensive and customer friendly the purchase process would be. From the first sale representative, to the finance process and move in, Lennar professionals were with me every step of the way. I really appreciated their kindness and support.

I was amazed at how quickly the process took in buying my new home. There were a lot of moving parts and if I got confused or had questions I was always directed to the right person to call. I love my new home!
