Buying a Lennar NexGen home has been a very rewarding process. Working with the mortgage team was probably the best part of things. And the sales representative was always available for any questions or concerns. I would recommend a Lennar home and the supporting companies as well.

Everything was very upfront, no surprises. The homes are pretty basic, but you get what you pay for. So far after three months we are satisfied.

From start to finish, Lennar lied, exaggerated, and undelivered on everything. I’ve left negative reviews on every single platform and will continue to do so.

Lennar responded:
Thank you Micah, for sharing your review. We're sorry to hear that you feel there has been a lack of transparency. We sincerely apologize for any issues you've experienced during your homebuying journey. Your feedback is valuable to us and will help guide our efforts for future improvements. We hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a better homeowner experience moving forward.

Overall, a good quality home. All the staff are great & very helpful. But the some of the materials used seem a bit cheap. The cabinets around the microwave are not good and done with multiple small pieces which visually isn’t appealing. The lights in the bathroom are not sufficient. Garage doors slam real hard. Some other minor stuff that can be improved.

Everyone was very nice and professional. Too many portals to log into and deal with between the builder, title, mortgage etc. Great floor plan but definitely some items we felt like they got cheap. For example a single hook instead of a towel bar…um most master baths have 2 people so no towel bar and only one hook is a fail. Disposal is poor quality. Terrible can lightning that casts shadows in all bathrooms meant we had to hire an electrician off the bat to install better lighting. Overall still happy with home.

We were too trusting

I was warned that Lennar builds cheap homes. I should have listened. It all started on the intial pre-closing walk with our superintendent Luis where we gave him a punch list of items that needed to be addressed. Six days later (1 day before our closing and when we were to move out of our current home) I was called by Luis and told he couldn’t get the majority of things done but he promised we would have them addressed starting the week after we closed. So, we trusted him and on Thursday, October 17 we closed and got our keys. That is the day we started noticing there was more than a punch ...

Lennar responded:
Good morning Maile, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience in detail with us. We sincerely apologize for the issues you have experienced with your new home. We appreciate your patience as we work to address these concerns through warranty tickets. Your feedback is valuable to us, and we have shared it with upper management to ensure a more timely resolution process moving forward. Sincerely, Lennar Corporate Customer Care

I had issues with the entire buying process except titling and the final walkthrough with Scott and Saul. My sales rep CC was my least favorite person with this deal luckily I had my own realtors on my side to oversee her. The best part of this ordeal is Scott from the construction team always available for a call or to help in the house even after the sale. This guy is a true asset to the Lennar team. The title team another great asset to Lennar. However your sales and sales support throughout the process to include your finance people were absolutely horrible. Luckily my financial people ...

We had an easy and efficient experience from home selection through closing. Our salesperson Adrianna and loan officer Jerrod were amazing, and guided us seamlessly the entire way. We had a warranty issue 6 weeks after move in and our customer care rep Jamie took care of it right away. Things happen with new builds and it’s reassuring to know Lennar will take care of any issues so quickly. We are very happy with Lennar and our new home.

The entire experience was great. Everyone was friendly. I am very happy with the overall quality of the build. The overall cost of homes are too high. The only negative thing I can say is that Lennar used the lowest quality interior paint (flat) that rubs off if you attempt to clean it. For the cost of the home, there should be no low quality materials used. I repainted the interior during the first month. I love my home.

Loan process was good..home buying agents did not tell the truth and lead you to believe false home releases. Qualify for your money is poor..no landscaping..walls and floors needed Touchup/cleanup, poor baseboard conversion, no pullout cupboards for ease in getting out pots/pans..last cupboard is so high no one can reach it without a stool, light switches are not marked so you don't know which is light, outlet, fan. 2nd home needs more draws in kitchen

Lennar responded:
Good afternoon, Ilene, and thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that the design of your home fell short of your expectations. We take your feedback very seriously and will forward it to the appropriate team for future consideration. If you have any questions or warranty requests, please do not hesitate to contact your local Customer Care Team by submitting a warranty request through your Lennar Account. If I had known how stressful this would be I would never have bought this home. When things went bad I was threated with losing my deposit if I did not follow through on their timeline not mine. I am elderly and wanted a next generation home and they are the only builders who do them. The things on our punch list are still not done and it closed on Sept 27th. Most employees lie and no parts of Lennar communicates with each other.

From A builder's perspective

I recently retired from 50+ years in the California homebuilding industry, and our new home is in Arizona where I am not nearly as familiar with the minimum building codes here. With that said, my opinions are perhaps tainted based on my experience and expectations. To begin with, the builfing code requirements here appear to be less than those minimum standards in So. CA. We purchased this home because we love the floorplan (Trilliam Next-Gen) and the value. The workmanship in most all of the installations is above average quality for what I have seen over the decades, so they ...

The best experience was with our salesperson Bob. As for Lennar mortgage they were very unorganized and the only reason we used them was because of the rates. Construction team and follow up for repairs has been unresponsive and we can't seem to get our issues fixed once we moved in.

Going through the process of purchasing my new home was good. Good communication and explanations about the process and what was coming next. Once I got in the house, there was a list of things that needed attention which still have not been addressed. Mainly the back fence is not secure, the dirt is dangerously loose and my dog has to stay on her leash and be monitored while outside. Send help!

Once you “close” the sale (i.e. have your money), they seem to forget all about you. We have a growing list of items requiring attention. Upgrades purchased and not delivered. Poor finish work and no craftsman to complete. Sinks that don’t hold water. Non-parallel walls (shower curtain rod fits at lower level, does NOT fit at higher level). Doorbell mount falling away from the stucco wall. Chipped shower door, discovered at move-in still not replaced (two months later). The list continues…
