We purchased our current home from California. It was a fairly smooth process and going through the financial was great. We had a great sales person. However, the quality of home was not what we expected. I would say for the most part, the tile setters were the worst. I have never seen tile layed so poorly with very uneven lines in the grout.The grout was messed up; different colors everywhere. Kind of embarrassing when I have somebody come to my house. I felt like I was looking at floors that were installed by people that had done it for the first time. Everything was very dirty especially the floor. The house was not move in ready.... Was told not to worry they would take care of it within A-day or 2.... It has now been 6 weeks.... A small example of things not working I was told ring doorbellThat was included in my package I was told that's my problem it's not part of the move in ready Which I personally think is BS but anyways life goes on

Take notes and write down people and what they do.

We bought house in Aloravita South community in Peoria, AZ. We never get to choose options like flooring, cabinets, exterior color, elevation etc. Its like Take it or leave it....not customer friendly.

It’s been extremely difficult to schedule after sale repairs and there appears to be a complete lack of communication on the Lennar team.

Cheap materials used for the construction, very bad responsiveness to the issues.

Decent construction overall for the price. Instead of spending money on "smart home" items use dollars for better materials,better trim workers, 16" centers on studs instead of 24". Use a better company than Interior Logic for important work. I was shown a model home that mine was supposed to look like with separate master vanities,separate closets, but then when I moved in I had none of those. Worst trim carpenter work I have ever seen. Dirt and sand painted right over on base trim.

I had issues with the entire buying process except titling and the final walkthrough with Scott and Saul. My sales rep CC was my least favorite person with this deal luckily I had my own realtors on my side to oversee her. The best part of this ordeal is Scott from the construction team always available for a call or to help in the house even after the sale. This guy is a true asset to the Lennar team. The title team another great asset to Lennar. However your sales and sales support throughout the process to include your finance people were absolutely horrible. Luckily my financial people caught a huge mistake in the financing of this home and we switch gears and made it happen. But again it was me and my team that realized the issue and Tammy had no clue what she was doing. ... More

Some of the 30-day corrections took extra effort to fix. Some of the overhead fixtures do not lend themselves to installing a fan. The wiring is buried too deep behind junction box to access. The smart home features all require separate apps. They are NOT interoperable.

We felt fortunate to be drawn in the lottery. Many people were not. Build took two. Oaths longer than expected, but with Covid we were not surprised. Disappointed with the quality. On closing day they were still doing last minute items. A lot of items had to be put on a punch list! We were told at our one week prior to close that the house would be pristine. It wasn’t! Paint many spots on floor. Window blinds missing, paint touchups not done. Door trim missing in areas. Grout smears everywhere on bathroom kitchen tiles and bathroom tiles. It took about three months for most issues to be resolved. Again, understanding that most new home builders seem to be going through the same labor and material shortages that Lennar faced. ... More

The house is full of flaws and uneven or misaligned floors and walls. HVAC unit makes too much noise. Materials used are of low quality and durability. Overall, very poor workmanship.

The homes are nice but quality and attention to detail is not great. The paint on the outside of the homes is so poor quality it already looks like they needs to be re-painted. In a few years the neighborhood won't look good if homeowners don't paint. The builder could at least put gravel down the walk way so it is not mud, which is causing homeowners to leave their garbage cans in the front yard. The common areas are not maintained, weeds over a foot tall in the parks and greenbelts. There are a lot of little things that add up to a lot of aggravation.

The home is alright but not great. If you want to mix and match you can forget that idea. Lennar has specific color schemes you can choose from, but you cannot take an item of a specific color scheme and then a different item from another color scheme and combine them to create a color scheme that suits your individual needs. The interior paint color of home will be white and only white. For the majority of your home it will be a flat white that cannot be cleaned. If you try and clean it, the paint comes off the walls. In the "wet areas" it is semi gloss white. So when you walk through the models and see two-tone paint that is just an illusion, it is not an option. The painters rush through the job, we are still scraping paint off of the floors. When we first moved it we thought the house looked great, but after living in it for a few months, we are starting to see things that look like they just rushed through it so the could get onto the next one. ... Frustrated with response to issues. Took two weeks to get damage from leak fixed. Having some plumbing issues and dishwasher hits stove door when opened. Love the location

Awesome up front but afterwards very poor

We love our home. We love the Next-Gen aspect. However, we have had electrical issues, cabinet doors instead of being replaced when drilled wrong, painted over and flipped around. Backyard littered with trash...not just construction materials you would expect. Interior floor a mess when we moved in with adhesive left on it. Some of the outlets look like they are puckered out of the wall. I tired of typing things...

Lennar stands by their homes. I had some issues yet they resolved them. It took a lot longer than I wanted yet it’s done now and I love my home

My Lennar experience was mixed. I love the house and community but Lennar didn’t make the process easy. I made the deal last October when the lot was being graded. It took Lennar almost 8 months to complete the house and I could never get a straight answer about the work schedule. The main problem is that Lennar uses the old “good cop” / “bad cop” approach to customer service (I’ve changed the names of all Lennar staff). There were two sales guys involved, I’ll call Joe and Moe. Joe is a genial frat boy type while Moe is his dour counterpart. Joe handed me off to Moe whenever a complicated issue came up, and then would pop up again like a Hobbit. There were two construction managers Harry and Larry. Same drill: Harry was the crusty and genial guy in pickup truck and Larry the enforcer. There was a serious “mistake” made in that inferior cabinets were installed, which I discovered six weeks before closing. It took until closing to resolve and it was never clear if this was an honest mistake or an intentional deceit. I ended up having to accept lower grade cabinets than I paid for, due to closing. After closing, I got Baby Bill, a young guy with a bad attitude and eventually the area construction manager, Smiling Will. There’re several unresolved issues which I’m waiting for Smiling Will to resolve, including a potential credit for the cabinet fiasco. While Lennar Title was great, I’d never use Lennar Mortgage again: the loan officer was rude, unresponsive, and arrogant. Still, all’s well that end’s well. Lennar is no different than other merchant builders so assume you’re essentially dealing with a giant car dealership and act accordingly. ... More

We've been in the house for about 5 months and love it. Unfortunately we have an ongoing problem with customer support and warranty "after move-in" communications and scheduling. We have a laundry list of things that have either broke or need finishing work and communication with the Lennar project manager and our sales contact has been very poor. They rarely respond to my texts or calls and in the rare instances when contractors do show up they appear at my door with no warning of arrival so some are missed because we're not home. I've repeatedly requested getting the schedule in advance and have had no response from anyone about it. One of our neighbors has been waiting more than 6 months for follow-up work so apparently this is an issue with more than just us. Extremely unsatisfied. Caveat emptor -- let the buyer beware. ... My home was purchased through Cal Atlantic but finalized with Lennar. We chose a Chef Kitchen and we selected the granite counter top for our home. The vendor chose defective granite for me to select and gave me the impression the spots could be buffed out. To my surprise the spots remain I had the situation noted the answer I received was not what I expected . (I chose the granite and sign the form) I attempted to have the situation ruled in our favor a second time and received the same answer. I even offered to buy a different granite on the warehouse floor I was told Dale Title only sold to developers. If I could get my cash payment refunded we would move as soon as possible. ... More

This is our second Lennar home and this one is quite poor compared to our first. Our home was well buiult but the finsih stuff - flooring, painting, grouting, cabinets looked like they were odne by a 5 year old and the place was filthy when we moved into it. We still have unresolved issues but you have good construction managers who do follow through. I'll never buy another Lennar home and the worst of it is it too almost 10 months to get a product that was quite disappointing.

Quick build. Sloppy job site. Not enough info about hoa or builder.
